60 minutes did a good piece on this. Its a huge housing bubble just like in the US. The middle class in China are not allowed to invest outside of their country. Their currency is rigged so stocks and bonds are out. Only thing left is real-estate There are miles and miles and miles of 10 and 20 story empty buildings. No one can afford to live in these condos average price $50K-100K US. Average Chinese Joe makes $10/day.

When this bubble breaks you will see a huge event and not just in China. Just like our housing bubble hurt them. Dude this is real and waiting to explode when?? No idea.

I'm just hoping not before we get out of our depression before it hits. Global economy fuck you!!

They really have no choice, they have to continue to inflate the bubble to sustain employment and wages or they face a potential ruin and the downfall of the regime when the people realize that, once again, communism on paper and communism in reality are two entirely different propositions.

Totally agree with you on all accouts. My biggest beef is that no one in the US seems to care or rasie a red flag. I watch the business news everyday before I go to work and never heard it mentioned even after the 60 minutes piece. I also listen to NPR and it was brought up once and no one expaned on the issue.

Its funny same thing happened here everyones too busy counting thier money they dont want to rock the boat. But dumbasses like me whos home equity is truly part of thier retirment take it in the ass.

Now for a little whinning: Unless the 1%ters get hurt nothing changes. Well heres to some pain:tiphat:

Nice to have lots of cash. You can blow it anyway you like.

Unlike the US which will run out of credit and then suck wind. But they sure have em scared in those 4th world countries :woohoo:

Keynesian at it's finest. Productive output is always good be it war or building empty cities. It doesn't matter if the capital is grossly missallocated by a central planning authority and wasted on pointless or destructive means.

If you are building shit for no reason or blowing it up you are boosting GDP, thus it is good. Or so goes their philosophy.

Aint that the friggin truth. I come from a different philosophy. For good or bad we evolved to have a bigger brain. We are the first beings that could actually understand that our actions can harm the planet and us.
We live in a finite space there are no such things as "man made" everything we make actually comes from materials on earth. That's easy enough to understand. Everyone can grasp that.

Then how come people cant grasp that there is no such thing as infinite growth. Capitalism is a fraud it defies simple logic that a 5 yr old understands. If I put 200 pieces of candy in a bowl and you keep eating them sooner or later there is no candy left. Unless you plan on going to another planet.

The reptilian part of our brain continues to control the rest. If we don't all come to the realization that you cant have anything you want "The American way". (To top it off we are exporting that grand idea to other nations who exploit the earth.)

We are screwed man!!! The same thing that made us the most dominate species on earth will be the death of us. I'd rather have a cockroach as a neighbor than a human. Humans are the most egocentric creature on earth.:tiphat:

Who decide that humans are so much better than the other creatures who inhabit this planet?? So arrogant to think a simple humming bird has less worth than some greedy asshole who has to drive a hummer. Hunt humans not lions there's way to many of them.
Wow that felt good sorry for the rant. Oh and Fuck the new pope!! as a cherry on top of that rant. I rather see the next endangered species make a come back. There will always be more greedy assholes born every second.:tiphat:

Boy, when this bubble bursts it will be the pop heard around the world! They are just totally fucked and I think the leadership knows this. Nobody in Bejing's leadership is buying green bananas these days.

Much better to spend cash and be loaning it out (to the likes of the USA) rather than spending credit and borrowing it in (like the USA)

Much easier to see how others are doing when your own house is made of glass LOL

I was fortunate to be able to spend several years there as a child in the sixties. One neat place to be a kid . Can still recall the first day there. We just leaving boat dock and I saw this man on his feet, but squatting down. He was hitting a bong. It was large maybe 3 feet long, and the end was resting on the ground. A very neat sight for a stupid yankee kid to see in the sixties. Can still recall mom's anwser as to what he was doing - "easing a type of hunger". Kids are all but invisible, and I used to go everywhere. It was a really great place to be a kid. The things I saw as child, gave me a sense of respect for China that has never left. As I hear of the toll that progress has taken, I always wonder about those I once knew as a child.
