HERES A BED OF XXX OG KUSH UNDER TWO 1000W HPS LAMPS.

THERE IS 2 ADDITIONAL 4 FT 4 BULB T5s FOR SIDE LIGHTING THAT I MAY OR MAY NOT TURN ON. I USE THESE WHEN GROWING AN INDICA BUT LOOKS LIKE THEY MAY GET PLENTY OF LUMENS WITHOUT THEM. PERHAPS WHEN THEY START GETTING IT ON I WILL TURN UP THE VOLUME. WOULD HAVE IDEALLY VEGGED THEM A FEW MORE WEEKS BUT NEED MEDICINE.

THEY ARE GROWING IN A 4x8 BED WITH THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:

SUNSHINE PRO MIX #4
WORM CASTINGS
STEER MANURE
BLOOD MEAL
BONE MEAL
GREENSAND
MYCORHIZAE
DOLOMITE LIME

I FEEL THIS MIX BRINGS OUT CANNABIS' BEST FLAVOURS.

THEY ARE 10 DAYS IN FLOWER NOW AFTER A 30 DAY VEG. THE CLONE CAME TO ME VIA A FRIEND. NO BUGS NO BULLSHIT, PHENOMENAL TASTING SMOKE. THE CLONES TOOK 14 DAYS TO ROOT WHICH I FELT WAS A LONG TIME BUT THE MOTHER CLONE GIVEN TO ME HAD STARTED TO STRETCH AND FLOWER, I ASSUME FROM BEING IN THE DARK A FEW DAYS ON ITS JOURNEY HERE, SLOWING THINGS DOWN CONSIDERABLY. THEN WHEN I FIRST POPPED THEM IN THIS RICH SOIL MIX THEY TOOK A MINUTE TO ADJUST TO THE RICH ENVIRONMENT BUT ARE LOOKING GOOD NOW AND SHOULD NEED ONLY WATER FROM HERE ON IN. FIRST TIME GROWING THIS STRAIN.

ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GOLDEN.

Hi
you are growing indoor? why ont you use pods instead of a bed???
Isnt that a huge amount of work to replace at least a big part of the soil every grow? Dont you get problems with wet soil and water wich cant leave the ground of the bed - or are there holes under the bed that the overlasting water can drip away?
wich deep got the soil in the bed?

peace ;)

The reason I do it this way is Ease of grow. You put everything in , mix it, wet it and plug clones. There are holes in the bottom for runnoff water, but I dont water them to heavy as it would be counter-productive. water too much and all my good nutrients get leached out the bottom. Remember, everything got put into the soil for the life of the plant. This is living soil and I get 2-3 runs before having to replace it. Ideally you would wait for the plants to fill in more before turning to flower, topping and bending to form a sea of green. Usually this room is wall to wall with greenery. I flowered them early as I mentioned. Also this strain doesnt like to be topped. Not the most vigorous plant either. But the buds have a phenomenal taste that we love.

They have been in flower for 17 days now and they have stretched and set flowers in the seven days since the last pictures.

I watered the day before yesterday. First time in well over a week. Very low maintenance garden setup here. They stretched about 1.5 feet since flower initiation, not too bad. Note that this is The first OG cut I have ever run. I was a little unimpressed with branching pre flower but it exploded in the second week of flower, making lots of budsites on multiple branches. Most of These plants didnt get topped as it seems counter productive with this strain. I have been doing a little select bending.

i love the individual tomato cages on each plant, that would make it very easy to train and help them bush out to get better light penetration.

No wheels BUD, but I can see how that could be a great advantage on a larger scale grow. Beds go way back in the underground culture, it sure is a classic way to farm indoors. Not ideal with 4 plants per light.

Smells of afghani-skunk. When I smell and taste this one it reminds me of the PINK starburst. Some people would refer to skittle's. Glad you asked, I really have a nose and taste for cannabis and can generally describe them really well for folks. Smell and taste are both a ten on this cut and makes it stand out from the others. No odor eliminating gear really smells up the neighborhood nice. Shes a real stinker!

I noticed the metal tomato cages you put around them, do those help much? I'm assuming it's so that you've got something you can bet under/over and tie plants to for shaping purposes? I've considered doing something like that in the future and was just looking for thoughts of someone who's doing it now.

originally was going to train them to them but as branches started to break I just let them do their thing. Although it doesnt look it they are stretchy and noodley in character so the cages are holding them up. All the main tops have been bent down even with the rest of the canopy or they would be taller and spindley. Im wondering how people are getting this one to yield?
