Thinking about designing my armoire with a vert hps. Excited too see how your grow finishes off.

That being said, great work so far! You clearly know what your doing.

Cheers,

Thanks budelight, learned a few things this round, like how to train for a better canopy next go around.Vert is still new to me,but when I first decided to convert I said to myself "this could be alot like learning to grow all over again" and by that I mean learning how training a plant for optimal results in a vert grow is different then how you would train for a horizontal grow, but still similarities.

There's definitely some larf @ the bottom of my plants but that's fine, more stuff to make BHO with!Next doughnut I'll either flip earlier with my bottom bitch,or get a 2nd 400w HPS or buy a 600w HPS for better light covrtage...just so hard to give up 400w'ers though even when I know 600's are the best choice...makes me feel like a rebel!

EMBRACE THE REBEL WITHIN!

Thanks for the encouraging feedback. What have you learned about training that is worth sharing? Thus far with my plants (germed 1/1) i have been training them with a scrog - today however i decided for good that i will not try to run perpetual in my cab. Instead i feel most confident that hanging my 150 vertical, it will produce more.

Wish me luck! :)

Get some plastic construction fence tied or stapled to the walls of your grow and train how Marlo does or get some chicken wire and do vert scrog...really depends on application, just make sure plants don't get too close to the bulb and no branches blocking others from light.

Day 50 Flower

Day 50 Flower

Back with an update from day 50,and we seem to be nearing the home stretch here with a few gals, still thinking 60-65 days on most of these girls...I got my 60-100x scope on 'em.

The short squat Indica has surprised me,what started looking like really leafy and airy bud development has really thickened up and seem to be some very dense buds and I just so happen to have a few cuts of her and think she'd do good for a SoG grow as most of these plants seem actually, but the indica is a real slow vegger and left as a bush has very very little stretch. The plant in the left rear corner has some very dense/chunky buds with good resin output,I'm keeping a cut of it that I have because she has me interested in what she could do.The plant in the right back corner has good resin production and a sour smell with hint of lemon cleaner. The plant in the front right corner has good resin production and smells like some tropical fruity sweet goodness and sugar. The plant in the front left corner has a diesel/fruity/bubblegum smell.Very strange how these plants aromas have changed in the last few weeks, but I like it.

Still feeding with straight tap since day 45/47...anyhow on to the bud porn!

It got nice and chilly here for a few nights...low of 49°F and high of 55°F for two days...well,I have some purpling going on with two of the plants!I'll try and get pics of the purpling with Thursdays "Day 56" update. It's not just leaves either, some calyxes have purped up too.Hopefully ee can get another good cold snap like that before the end of week 9 when I plan to chop.

feed with cold water, I forget where I just heard this don't know if it works or not also adjusting the PH to eat differently can cause different coloring late into flowering

Fuckin A, ladies are looking great! Did you expect to be running plain tap for this long?

Thanks Budelight.Yeah,I always aim for a good 10-14 day flush, taking my time rather than doing one or two big quick flushes which can leave the root zone waterlogged and cause problems. This way I slowly leach out excess salt buildup in the rootzone while letting the plants use up what they have stored.

I just hit my ladies with maxibloom and koolbloom powder for the past 2 days at 5.5grams/gal maxi,2gams/gal koolbloom powder. I will finish the week at 6grams/gal maxibloom and then drop it all together for a florabloom mix with koolbloom poweder for 3 days then just flora bloom with koolbloom liquid to try and get all the N tapered out before a full 2 and a half week flush. I love this part of flower all the explosive swelling

Day 56 Flower

Day 56 Flower

Here we go with a day 56 update.Got some small amounts of purpling on some plants.I suspect that the plant in the back left corner anf possibly the plant in the front left corner will be getting the chop next week on or around day 65 as well as the Indica but she's not looking as done as the other two but we'll see,I'll be scopin' again in four days on day 60 and be back with another update.

On to the porn...

Plant in the right front corner by the thermometer has exploded with new growth in the last two days, looks like she may be a 10-11 weeker but hopefully no longer than 10 weeks.Everything else looks like it should be ready for day 65-75 so 9-10 weekers.Plant in the back left might get the chop on Monday but I want to flush it a bit more as she's still quite green but good to chop between now and next Saturday.

Thanks DHF,I'm interested to see how long the plant in front right corner goes with all this new growth that's popp ed up in the last 2-3 days.Next run shoulf be real nice as I can apply everything I've learned from this run and now I know how each of these plants grows so I can do a better job next run.
