Hugo Chavez dead.

Chavez or Bush, in the end, it's all the same old trite demagogic non-sense.

not for nothing do they call it politricks.

something that always pissed me off was that Chavez always used the image of Ernesto "Che" Guevara to try to link El Che with the "bolivarian revolution", while at the same time being best of friends with Fidel, who was the one who gave the information to the Bolivian government on the whereabouts of El Che.

in Cuba no one liked Fidel, but everyone loved El Che, so Fidel had him killed.

these people only care for power, money and fame.

Chavez did equalize mostly everyone in Venezuela though, Equalized us all into poverty; with the exception of high ranking military and politicians of course.

A friend of mine is in Nicaragua working on his book. The other day he mentioned buying a Che tee shirt in Leon. Nicaragua is home of the hated Sandinsta, home of Daniel Ortega, another revolutionary general come president. He bought the shirt to fit in with the ladies in some of the Sandinista strongholds like Esteli. Anyway, I mentioned to the guy that although Che has a cool hippie looking photo that many hipters identify with, much like Jim Morrison, he was not a cool guy at all. Che was a doctor, a man that swore the Hippocratic oath, an oath where he swears to basically, "Do no Harm". Although both Morrison and Che are idiots overwhelmed with egomania, the similarities stop there. Che murdered many peasants and seen to the death of thousands more on the suspicion that they were traders or deserters. He killed people at the drop of the hat. And in the end, Che was killed with a hand full of men trying to take over Bolivia with a revolution once he was canned by Fidel. I guess Che felt that with 12 men, a vision and his winning personality he could convince the people of Bolivia to make a change. He was taken prisoner and executed by a bored soldier, dying an idiots death.

But hey, it is a pretty cool picture on the tee shirt. He looks like a real rock n roller.

huligun, the Che is more mythical than any other revolutionary figure in all of history; and every idiot and his mom uses the image of Che to their advantage and to further their agenda.

sure, El Che was a killer and murdered a lot of people, but he was not canned by Fidel, quite the contrary, he refused Fidel's offer to become his right hand in the Cuban Government. Che wanted to "liberate" all of South America, so on he went, until he got sold out by Fidel himself...

So the issue is not whether Che was good or bad, the point I'm making is that Chavez used Che's image right and left to further his political agenda, while at the same time being best buddies with the man that had Che killed.

which is only a point to illustrate the true moral fiber of Chavez.

Mr bombadil, I share a lot with you and maybe more than what is apparent. Much respect.

The story of Che and Castro is Well documented with plenty of narration from the sides. Much of what is told to us all is flavored with propaganda.

Che and Fidel didn't agree on some very strong points. Cuba could not exist as a poor little island a few miles from Florida and surrounded by many democratic nations. Much like Israel surrounded as they are, needed a super power of like interest. The former USSR was not a luxury to Cuba, it was a necessity. Che in his independent, revolutionary, and romantic vision was completely unrealistic. There was no way that Cuba could exist without them. Cuba was not even allowed to trade with the west, so the only option they had was the USSR. Because of this difference of opinion Che had to go. You call it selling Che out, others may call it throwing him under the bus, but whatever happened Che went out with a few guys to overthrow Bolivia and died at a young age. He died as a martyr. I think that on news of his death Fidel was relieved that he didn't have that to deal with any more. A man that could rally support against him in his totalitarian vision of Cuba.

che was a murderer and thief, who had a driver and personal vehicle while his wife rode public transportation.

I can say that Bush (nor any of the others) could never just point his finger at a man and say you are dead. It is not allowed in the US Constitution. Due Process and he is not even a processor.

I can say that Bush (nor any of the others) could never just point his finger at a man and say he is taking your assets. It is not allowed in the US Constitution. Due Process and he is not even a processor.

Even if the US Government went through due process to try to take someone's assets, it would never be the property of any US president.

All the people I mention had that power. Stalin would shoot a man sitting at the table with him in front of 20 people, no one would say a world. It is absolute concentrated power in one location. Hugo had that power, as well has Hitler, and Saddam. No US president in the history of the US has ever had anything like that.

As I read this...I am watching C-SPAN coverage of Rand Paul's filibuster attempt against Obama's CIA pick. The issue at hand is that the Senator wants a clear answer from the administration...can the government {military} kill non-combatant Americans on American soil? The scary part is Holder has hinted to just that...that the pres has the power to use a drone against an American domestically. Martial Law is here...The Bill of Rights has left the building.

He had places to be huh? Well, those he murdered had lives to live.
Again FUCK che.

How do you feel about the Pakistanis that died at the wedding as a result of a drone attack ordered by the USA? Fuck the USA?

Not judging, just trying to capture a picture of where you're coming from. If you agree that the USA has bloody hands by murdering innocent people then we are agreed. Otherwise, I may take issue with your hypocrisy.

As the recent news is also telling us to prepare for drones to be a normal "thing" in our skies for weather and what not...
Bill of "yeah" Right...

No need to change your response. It's all good my friend. I believe I've made my point very clear. If others feel the need to not answer directly and/or obfuscate, that is not for me to decide, correct? I'm not judging you, I merely requested an answer. No worries, cool?

If I needed to change an answer I would have edited my post. I was trying at a bit of levity on such a serious note. Yes of course cool. Have a good night man.
