looking for info on amnesia haze in adam

last time i was in amsterdam the amnesia haze i had was the SH1T! it was better than any SSH and it was slightly golden in colour. does any adam heads know if this is the amnesia core cut or a different cut? before anybody says core cut is actually a pheno of SSH i already know but its still labelled as amnesia.

Soma was the one to get it from when i was there in 2008. I run it now. Got lucky with an accidental bean from big buddha seeds. It was supposed to be cheese. One was amnesia haze. Just like what i smoked at abraxas(best amnesia i tried while in amsterdam). Been running it for years and it never gets old.

From what I understand, Amnesia and Amnesia Haze are completely different. I want to say that the Amnesia cut is a Neville's Haze or SSH pheno, but that could be way off. It does seem that the Amnesia is many people's favorite smoke in Amsterdam. No experience with them, so don't take my word for it.

im pretty sure its either core cut (ssh pheno) or hypro cut, just need someone in the know to confirm which it is.

TOKA, it will be difficult to confirm as in my experience a lot of different weed is sold in different shops as amnesia/amnesia haze.

The original amnesia core cut is said to be a SSH bagseed, but then I've seen a far more sativa amnesia with that similar bubblegum/parsnip haze smell/taste, a more indica one, a more foxtaily lemony one (amnesia lemon?), one that is clearly just another pheno of SSH and a really dense one (super lemon haze?).

All of these are sold as amnesia but I dont think are the same cut.

I dont know what cut your looking for but ive talked with breeder from Super Strains Seeds and he claims he use to be HYPRO and created there Amnesia cut. Here is what he wrote me when i asked them about there Original AmnesiA

"In 1990 i founded HY-PRO.

Personally i do not like the word “original”. For me there is only one.
HY-PRO does not sell seeds anymore.

SuperStrainS is the only bank at the moment which has stock of AmnesiA regular.
These seeds are from the same harvest as AmnesiA was, and the closest you can get…
You`ll find the price is serious…

I watched AmnesiA become popular over the years, and more and more people claimed access.
Untill SuperStrainS i didn`t make any noise, so i understand the confusion.

I have no interrest to give proof to you, but HY-PRO, AmnesiA and my name should be enough clue to go
after the facts."

Your probably right about there being more than one cut i just assumed it was the same bu grown better by certain people. It does sound like the amnesia lemon u describe, very fox tail structure ridiculous resin content a slight lemon undertone but overpowered by haze and a slight golden colour.

I think i got it in twighlight zone coffeeshop but im not sure i was soooo blazed lol all i remember was the haze and the delicious hot chocolate was the best in town! Looks like im gona have to go back and pester the lil bald duchman if he still works there.

Thanks for the info i might have to give them ago, my local headshop stocks these but i never gave them a second look. Their enemy of the state looks ineresting also.

After running quite a few different cuts of Amnesia and Amnesia Haze the only one that has really stood out was the Soma Amnesia Haze cut (thanks Janszn). But then again it was his cup winning cut. The Hy Pro and Underground Seeds (also the hy pro cut) were the best Amnesia cuts (thanks again Janszn). Thats just my opinion.

answered my question as to what haze i smoked.

hy-pro and core cut are one in the same, a SSH pheno and hy-pro used this cut to make their amnesia seeds.

the reason there are so many diferent amnesia cuts is that the core/ssh/hypro whoevers it is
is very dominant
you do a hybrid with it and it will be 90% plus amnesia
i seen numerous amnesia hybrids all tasting prety much the same but a litle diferent

but i tried a diferent amnesia haze when it first turned up
im sure it was soma and i think it was amnesia,g13haze
lovely citrusy flavour with an electric crazy sativa high(very similar to the g13haze male hybrids ive run)no indica which i think the core cut has some in it

then when i returned the next year there was this new amnesia, not as good in my opinion
then i never see the first one again

would love some info
i belive it was dampkring who was selling the bud when it first turned up?

Yo ojd you good mate? Think I've had that one you're talking about. Exactly the same aroma as the core cut but more sativa buds and effect.

I have a suspicion this is core cut x g13haze male.

Although the lineage hasn't been confirmed, it has been suggested soma's amnesia haze is core cut x g13haze male so it would make sense that a winning pheno was sold in the coffeeshops. I suspect its not too poular these days as it probably yields less and flowers longer than the core cut.

Aren't Amnesia Haze, Jack Herer and Super Silver Haze the same strain but different versions/selections?? I've been even told that Super Lemon Haze was Amnesia "Core" selfed. As Public Enemy used to sing, Don't believe the hype...

I sampled several versions in adam myself in 2008. i tried a few phonos from the seed vendors. i tried somas "feminized" ones and they were friggin males! all 5! anyway after searching for the cut for a little while in 2009 i found the one identical to the flavor in amsterdam. the amnesia cut has that lemony flavor like all the ssh and slh and jacks do but it has this added cream flavor. like lemon meringue. It has CRAZY long crystals when it finishes. Take it to 11 weeks and i hear its just nuts. ive only taken it to 10. its still amazing and even more zippy of a high at 9 weeks. lasts forever too and i blaze all the time. Anyway heres some photos of my pheno.

the other unique thing about amnesia is when you touch a dried or a wet bud, the resin left on your finger is oily. like it melts instantly. most other strains leave intact crystal heads on your fingers. with this strain it liquifies. leaves a shiny oil and it smells like lemony creamy sassafras. really like this cut

Beautiful plant crooked, the leaves look slightly more slender than the core cut, is yours a different cut?

I can taste the creamy carroty bubblegum haze from here.
