And for what it is worth - I DID find 1 seed in #6, 2 in #7 and 3 in #8. I'm not sure where the pollen came from or who the culprit is - but I've got a few seeds out of the flowers I've trimmed. And this is one of those time you get excited for such a find - labeled and bagged.

The only thing at their age in flower at the time was them - so the pollen had to have come from themselves, at some point. But I never saw balls or nanners on these girls. So, virgin birth Brotherhood OG beans made dank.Frank an even happier farmer!!!

Its always a good feeling finding some hidden beans in some dank pot... even better when you know it wasn't another strain in the room the herm'd. (aLthough that isn't ALWAYS a bad thing)

So, I'm trimming up the last two plants today - and I always like to puff a few of the lower larf flowers while trimming the plant. I've always considered it getting to know the girl I'm handling.

And...I have to say - I think I messed up. I was really afraid of this.

I've re-vegged some NICE plants - but I MISSED what I would now call the actual "Brotherhood OG" type pheno.

These phenos take LONGER to flower - they are 10-11wk phenos. Have about 2x stretch - so not the tallest and not the shortest of the pheno range. They have VERY airy flowers at the bottom of the plant - not really worthy keeping on - I should have trimmed them away a bit more. The flowers form thinner along the main stem - making more spears - than say the chunkier, more "nugget" style buds I have pictured thus far....

The smell - not as apparent in flower - but when dry and curing really comes to life. Again, for those familiar with Sour Diesel - take the "sour" aspect of that and pair it with a sweet ginger / orange glaze - and whiffs of classic old school rank skunk. THIS rank skunk aspect is what is missing in the phenos I kept and re-vegged..

#8 - is some what like these in that it is a more Happy Brother plant - but it is missing the rank skunk funk that it's siblings have dried with...

But I puffed on #2 - and wow - the effect on it is EVERYTHING #4 is but stronger and it has the stand out flavor of the #8 - but with more OG funk in the mix.

I didn't keep the best plant in the mix - and really don't know I even got pictures of it. These phenos tend to make a thicker foxtail at the very top of the larger flowers. They stack a 4-6 calyx wide "tail" that is about 1/2"-3/4" long.

I did let plants 1,2,3,5 go 10wks. And I 1 and 2 could have gone 11 wks and would have filled in a bit more. I'm a bit bummed that #2 was over looked and not selected to re-veg.

I'll get some dried shots of these girls as I'm still trimming them - I've found one seed in #2 so far - so that has me some one appeased...

I do believe I will keep this thread going - continue showing the plants that DID re-veg - and will at some point start the few seeds that have been found and document those as well.

I did find some small open nanners on plant #5. It was a more short stocky 10wk OG type pheno. Not really a lot of flavor/smell from either parent - and a bit more generic high...not as standout. Plants #3 and #5 were both this type of pheno - the shortest in the group - with buds very similar to #4 but that tended to crown out a bit more late in flower. (think of the points on a crown) HOWEVER - these plants are still very frosty - eat a bit heavier - and were the heaviest yielding. Even though they were the shortest and did not stretch but maybe 1.5x - they were also the floppiest ala OG type of stem flop...

If the seeds made did in fact come from #5 - then it does give me some what of an idea what to expect plant by plant the potential results. I'm most curious to see what #5 x #8 will be like, assuming that is what has happened.

Sorry for the rambling update - but I want to try and help others who have purchased these seeds really identify what the BEST keepers are SMOKE wise - and truly what I'd call the "Brotherhood OG" expressions in the line...

Okay ... I lied. #2 Is exactly as I described - but the effect doesn't last. A day of smoking the #2 and the effects are down to 35-45 minutes at best and then I'm craving another bowl. The #4 even after nearly two weeks of sampling - I still have not built any sort of tolerance to it. The effect is still strong for 1.5-2 hrs and still really hits the spot for me...

So...there is some certain pheno variation in these seeds - I really saw 4 distinct expressions - all which have been described fairly thoroughly in the thread. I think the "keeper" will really come down to your smoking preferences.

#7 - the cherry / chai / green tea pheno - is the odd ball out for me in regards to the other phenos. I'm not fully sure where this expression came from.

3rd - Difference in feeding programs and environment I'd suppose. But, ALL these ladies flowers when trimmed down, had fatter bottoms coming into a small little foxtailed tip.

Here is some Brotherhood OG QWISO - used 8.6g trim to 1/4c 91% ISO - got about 2g totaled - less than half is pictured. :joint:

If this is not seriously worked (warmed) by hand, it is still full shatter if dropped cold...

And on the MORE good news side of things. #8 is fully re-vegged. By this time next week I'll be taking cuts! #4 is coming around and is starting to throwing its first real shoots - so looks like she is going to make it!!! :woohoo:

I agree the Pheno I got dose not look like the ones either of you got. I just harvested a small keeper pheno.. I was out of her so I ran a small one while I let the other veg much longer. I will keep her around until I find one better.

Thanks 3rd!

Sour - About 60 seconds total with a bit of light shaking. I haven't gotten a batch to turn out that nice since...lol. Was a lucky batch I guess, especially for ISO it seems.

Well, on the Brotherhood OG front:

#4, #7, #8 remain. #4 and #8 are getting roots on the first batch of clones, while #7 is taking a bit longer to re-veg and grow out of it...

I think #4 will be bred for a personal project then discarded - MAYBE - not sure. She may stick around...she is really good smoke - it's between her and #7.

#7 is like a cherry OG, basically. Very sticky, very funky and some how retains a classic OG funk in the taste - oh, and she's potent! Tends to make people feel flush / warm...

#8 Is not likely to stick around. I don't think I got a very solid run of her the first time, so my opinion could change but she is mostly flavor. And it is very unusual flavor - that sweet / sour orange is quite impressive. I'm not sure...

I certainly needed to run these 3 girls again....was not really expecting to find this many worthy of repeat appearances, but I won't complain. The more the merrier!

The Brotherhood OG show will continue before too much longer - this thread is not dead!

K

Karma Genetics

Yeah The Brotherhood defantly aint a fully stable Hyrbid, Pheno's jump all over the place, but she does give some funky freaky girls, Differnt folks diifernt strokes, I found one that was a great smelly tropical OG type,

They are a lot of fun to grow, as mine where mostly same sized, and easy to grow. I think these are great for the adventure grower beginners to experts.

PS frank you ROCK roots, looking forward to your second run, will show what she does for real.

I think that u have a great idea about keeping this thread open for everyone to look through... As I still have my pack of brotherhoods and it'll be another couple months before I pop them... I like the idea of pheno searching before I even try to grow it ... If u understand what I'm says...

Karma Genetics

I got 100's of packs almost ready of these, these will be in stock for a while ha ha ha....
