Not sure but have you tried calling them? I've met both Jay and Brice and their very cool guys, I'm sure if there is an issue they would take care of it...

Don't know about that but I will state this for future searches on heavy16 :

As far as veg goes (heavy 16) compared with Rez/Head/Lucas. Get what is cheaper for you.

It should not smell bad when I was at the hydro store I saw 2 people returning the Heavy 16 flower B it was the small size there was a bunch of chunky stuff in the bottle.I did not smell it though. I have been using Heavy for a couple years never had one smell bad..I would return but call them first..

Thanks for the feedback. I have used this line before with great deal of success. Just never noticed this smell before. REally did not think it was normal. It might be cheaper to run other nute lines but i grow just for my self and a 4 ltr bottle easily will last a year. Again thanks.

Whatever floats your boat. Why pay more for something that doesn't change end results? :shrugs:

I chimed in for people who run a search on Heavy16, so they may know before hand. Marketing around here is ingenious.

My grow B falls out of suspension.

Not saying it is a bad product at all. Just saying for the price I get the same if not BETTER results with a simple GH6/9 in VEG salts are salts at the end of the day. Marketing is marketing.

Again YMMV. Best of luck.

Yea run it in flowering it works better than any nuts i ever used..... the flowering is where you can see the true essence of your strain use it you wont be mad.

Ran heavy16 last run in soil. All I can say is I am totally unsatisfied with the performance, especially for the cost. I won't bring my slamming here, but I will say that it is incomplete. It also settles out really badly whenever stored in a reservoir/hydro system, yet it was designed for hydro...

Bought the new concentrate prime, literally had 1/2 inch of molasses settle to the bottom along with whatever else there was in there. The fire is by far, the most over priced PK on the market.

I will say that I am impressed with the Roots product, it is comparable to excelurator but at like 1/2 the price. It is the only thing that I have continued to use with my old faithful Floranova/LKB/DN. Even works well with hydro maxibloom.

Just my 2cents

Why would someone attempt to run Heavy16 in SOIL is beyond me.
There happen to be far better alternatives. FAR BETTER.
I would run something more along the lines of being organic based fert first before a salt based one. Surely you would supplement the soil as to not needing so many ferts to start and actually be far better off brewing your own tea's as needed. If needed.

Not a personal stab at you 'anferneybra' just future reference for anybody looking for heavy16 info.

Heavy16 works great. flood & drain / Coco. I've no problem personally with fall out. Got the nutes around about when Jack started the big Aptus thread. White bottles. Are the bottles now black?
YMMV.

At the end of the day it comes down to EC(TDS/PPM) & PH no matter what medium you are in.
Get and keep those in check and fixing any minor ailment is cake.

Why would someone run it in soil? It was advised to me to do so by the manufacturer when I was shopping new lines to try. A big selling point was that it was 95% organic and required little to no ph control going into soil.

I agree there are far better alternatives, I pre-amend mostly for the warehouse, but I love to run new lines to see whats out there.

Heavy 16 isn't actually all that salty, at all.

The biggest problem this line has is it's cal to mag ratio. I notice all sorts of deficient plants. I am running 40 k watts of deep water current with GH 3 part/lkb/dn, 0 issues as always. 36k watts of soil, 16k of which is gavita, another 20k adjusta wings. The pre amended room of gavita is killing it. I run trials in the 20k adjusta wing room, some maxibloom/lkb/dn, some floranova/lkb/dn, some heavy16 and lastly some advanced 2 part with b52/overdrive/bud blood/big bud.

Of all the lines the heavy 16 by far was the most incomplete and unhappy. Floranova comes out on top, maxibloom right behind it, and advanced a close 3rd.

I however cannot speak for its use in coco or hydro. I can say that when I make a 40 gallon batch of nutrients with heavy 16, not only does it foam something fierce it has the WORST brown settle line and bottom res gunk of all 4 lines. Water temps are 66-68 degrees with a 950 gph pond master at the bottom of the barrel and 6 air stones.

I am simply stating facts I have experienced, not trying to completely denounce the line. I think they need to go back to the drawing board somewhat. Hell the whole reason they switched containers was because of all the problems with fermentation...now they have burps on anything over a quart.

I am glad it works for you, and please help others that want to try the line in similar uses as yourself.

The reason I said it settled in the hydro system was because I put it in one DWCurrent system containing 24 plants, and 1 day later drained it because of the obvious issues. So I have not run it fully but am not prepared to sacrifice a table of hydro to this line for trials.

Im running Heavy 16 it in pro mix and its great. I have an 40 Gal res with air stones in it and a pump just to keep everything mixed up and of course a pump too feed.

Promix is made up of primarily peat moss their for you can treat it like an hydro application.

Hey tropical I ran H-16 in soil with no problems. I think people run into problems when they go by a schedule. I always let my plants tell me what they want for example once I fed my plants the bloom in veg because I notice Phosphorus deficiency and that worked great. So my advice is to get it dialed in first than set a schedule.

HOPE THIS HELPS HEAVY 16 SOIL USERS OUT THERE PEACE.

I know its half a year late but heavy 16 responds like canna in the reservoir, it is recommended to create a fountain like recirculation and not use air stones. I know canna recommends this for their reservoirs and it is what I use for my heavy 16/aptus mix. Aptus builds up film after 2 days but heavy 16 alone in the reservoir has never clogged up for me with my recirc pump line going above the water line then tee'd out with 90 degree elbows facing down for the recirc. I use a 3something pump for 100 gallon res

I made the switch and im liking it so far... who runs the fire ? And if u run fire do u run it in veg? I cant wait to try this fire/moab combo ...

I'm planning on returning to heavy 16 after pricing the 55L drums. I had some nice product using it despite having broad mite issues. Really excited to try the finish as it should make for a complete flush.

I use advanced nutrients a and b for my veg and flower bases. I like the ph stability in my mix for coco. I use prime in veg and flower. Fire in flower only. Fire and prime combo for Flower produces the most beautiful round and dense bud structure of any bloom enhancement I have ever used next to atami bloombastic. In flower I alternate between the fire and prime and big bud bud candy combo from advanced. Still to date big bud and bud candy in flower has achieved extremely flavorful, aromatic and sticky nugs.
