Sup Fam,

Time to go PPK in my sealed tree room.

Maybe a tad early with this thread, but I'm about to yield 10lbs per PPK tree... 7 Trees = 70lbs. Nevermind my wattage.. you're just going to have to wait and see. Kidding.. lmao.

A got a lot of trimming ahead of me so this is my light at the end of the tunnel.

Corner lights will be swapped to 1000w lamps for a total of 8000w around these 7 trees. Dropping the rhino this run. Going to run either Deathstar or Afghani Mango.. not sure yet.

Pretty much duplicating what D9 is doing to a tee. I'll be trying Turface All Sport as my medium. Jacks 5-12-26 with Cal Nit 15-0-0.

And because I'm awesome I wont make ya wait until next week updates for real life plants. If I go A.Mango I'll be taking my 7 cuts off of these 4 little moms I'm starting.

This thread is going to be slow leaving the station, I'll keep my questions and PPK musings here as to not clog up the others' threads.

Stay Tuned.

Reservoir shots tomorrow...hopefully.

I believe it is clone only. Was given to me by a friend.

I tossed the original clone along side my 7 trees this last round to see what she'd do. I'm pretty impressed considering it was just handwatered in a 2 gal smart pot.. going limp often because I couldnt hit it in time every day. Didn't stake it up or anything.. its a mess.. getting hit by a corner 600w above it, but I'm liking the structure/density.

Can't wait to really grow it out to its full potential.

i just looked up "allsport", and it is exactly the same shit as "mvp" and "primera one". just different marketing labels for different vendors.

at least screen it through a regular aluminum window screen and wash it heavily, turning it over several times to get the dust out of the pores. i took it a step further and after bulk screening i ran it through a 1/8" mesh stainless kitchen strainer. water moves really well through it but it still has enough upward capillary action to work.

Do the 1.5" tailpieces fit in easy yet snug in the 1.5" hole saw cuts? Need anything to hold them in place? I've run out of uniseals so am thinking of a hardware trip for sink tailpieces.

Very interested in seeing how this goes. Good luck FF!

Actually I was going to mention that.

I only had a 1.25" conical "step" bit so I used that.. wasnt big enough so I just kinda wiggled it around a bit to open the hole up a hair more. I was then able to shove my tailpiece into the plastic tub. It fits very tightly... I don't see why I'd need to glue them or anything. They push down and sit relatively flush with the lip of the tailpiece.

Going to run them like that unless someone chimes in otherwise for reasoning they need glued in.

about glueing or fastening the tailpieces i'm going to say that it is not truly necessary but if you accidentally set it down on the tailpieces loaded they are gonna come straight up through the top of the medium tearing your root system to pieces on the way.

now with the three tailpieces i see it as a chance to make a stable support for the top should you want to pull it out and set it down for any reason.

the glueing is permanent. now i want everything to be collapsible, nestable, stackable for portability so i use the clamps. the clamps bite into the plastic under the screw mechanism. when you see that it can't slip off.
