I find it interesting how peoples plants are at various stages of growth depending what latitude.

up here at present I 'm TRIMMING my med plants! nice big heads picked white ... but they are low THC so not stinky. I 'll be intereted to find how much oil they give.

Silver the colour green of yr plants is unique! I guess that's due to your 'home brews'.

BooM! yours look nice too. higher percentage sativa than Silvers, yes?

cheers all!

I'm enjoying the show guys, looks like the southern bros are being looked after by the Sun God. Here's a highland Thai that finishes towards the end of July, luckily she can handle the monsoon...

And here's something I was gonna wait til next year to grow, but couldn't help having a look at; a 78'Thai stick (kept pure in Oz) x Mullumbimby Madness...

Med Heads ... a representative sample.

Med Heads ... a representative sample.

med heads white picked to preserve the variety of CBD's. not so sticky but not for smoking.

trimming: a productive way to wait out the rain.

cheers all!

Sat, nice buds mate :good: Smart move picking while you had the chance ;)
SA is getting rain today from the TC Rusty off the WA coast, I hope the poor buggars in Port Hedlands area are ready for a Cat 4 cyclone :yoinks:
I went through TC Larry in FNQ Cat 4-5 and that was fracking scarey as all frack :nono:

No cyclones down here thank frack! :smoke:

Nice bit of cool rain and then back up to mid to high 20's rest of week. Sweet!

Yeah in all seriousness hope that storm is ridden out ok. Seems a wee bit unnerving when the wind gets up here and starts howling through the tall gum trees. A few blue gums and wattles get snapped in half or blown over and thats nothing like the power of a tropical storm either!

Stay safe everyone.

Hi bigherb, thanks for your kind words bro...I know we're on the same page with a passion for a certain kind of old school smoking experience that we can still enjoy (despite the 70s being dead 30 years, and despite being on other sides of the planet) and I am also intrigued to learn and discuss the histories and flavours of such herb. Unfortunately, I live in a country where it's still illegal, so I think it's prudent to keep under the radar as much as possible...I mean I try and limit myself to twelve plants per season, but when those plants are 12 foot tall and wide, it can raise some eyebrows with regards to poundage...and even though I have a job and DO give all of my dope away to struggling friends...who's gonna believe that?

But I appreciate your words, that 78' Golden Thai is said to be on the Hz A side of the spectrum - cures golden brown with wood notes, old leather and incense, so it's probably right up your alley....and as for the MM - well like has been reported, it is at least on par with the Nevil's Hz in terms of potency, but to me it's a little more colourful to the eye, and doesn't burn as hot, so a bit friendlier to the lungs...anyway, I think the 78'Thai is being bred with NHz#3 - Nevil's favourite haze male, which is an early flowering specimen that is also purported to be on the HzA side of the spectrum. So maybe that cross could be a possibility to finish outdoors in the Big Apple :woohoo:

bOOm (previous pics) these seem to be early finishers and they were deliberately picked white. all the same there was a fair bit of white scale/mould ( ? ) infesting the stems.

good morning Persephone. more of a pain for this old fart! I sometimes wish I knew people from the very industrious and trustworthy Filipino community. could stand to listen to Filipinas chatting away while their scissors whirred. (what would you call the sound made by many speedy scissors?!)

anyway here is one of my buxom maidens which went into a swoon after 200mm and no wind.

picture.php

I 've stood her up again ... but can anyone tell me what causes this?
She did not do this a month ago when we had 550mm and wind. so why now?

(I have this theory plants may do this to let light into the lower branches when they sense the season is good ... but then, if nothing else, you can always depend on me for theories!)

cheers All!

Hi Sat x......What you have there is a top heavy plant that has become flexible with that amount of rain and has leant to the heaviest side, usually the northern side facing the sun., it would not have happened before because there wasnt the lush growth it has now.

When we have a dry spell the plant becomes rigid due to lack of water in the stem cells and then when it gets plenty of water the cells fill up and the plant will bend easily especially with that much leaf at the top and then the rain just keeps pushing it over.

You can put up 4 stakes and then put some light string around them and that will stop the problem as the plant will only go as far as the string allows.

Sup brother

NO Doubt we are on the same page with the quest for the best an apprecaition for History of the past an in the making . Damn sure anint no Golden days an its Damn near 40 somthing years actually since teh 70's . But Damn it seems like Sativas are making a come back Since my time on the Net i Hope its out with the Kush in with the Bush Aka Sativas

I wish i was in a different Local somtimes , I know life is what you make it but easier said than done an you cant choose the life you are born into BUt make a path for the Life you want . Im paving brother all you can Do is Try

Brother you Dont have to explain about the illeagal Tip an growing outdoors . I understand 100% an Feel you 1000% . Imagine my situation of living in an apartment an off a main avenue with Soo much traffic surrounding me Bus stops ,Trains stops ,public schools . I Grew out a Diesel Bagseed an it was one of the most eye opening experiences with growing .A Bad Idea an Not somthing id do ever again in that situation

You Read my mind brother ( I was Focused on you as the topic) I wanted to ask about the 78 Thia line ,That info on the line is most appreciated aswell as all other updates . Its amazing becaz that is more info than what has been presented by the source . Damn exciting Amazing Really Sounds like their is Grail potential considering she was considered in line with Kariba but superior quality has me :dance013::dance013: . Id love to Find out if they would Finish outdoors its Crazy /bugged out /Amazing and exciting that the Early NevHZ#4 is His Favorite .

Just a suggestion

Ive never Said it before becaz i thought things were still premature an abit confusing . Soo i thought of it as more of a pre-Run /small release / Tested but not extensively kinda thing .But maybe its somthing you could mention When Nevil decides to Release his Lines an have them readily available it'd be Great if he could do it through a Reputable distributor . If this is somthing that would be made available to the community

Much Respect
