LOL!

Only problem is IF UPS or FedEx OPENS your package it can't actually be used against you in court since it's been tampered with.

The only way you will get busted shipping with UPS/FedEx would be if your shipping a LOT of product across state lines, and the feds are already on to you.

Not saying it can't happen, just saying if your doing it right it's not likely.

All that being said, I've never personally shipped anything illegal, and the seeds that I've ordered all came USPS.

Right now under 64 my "independent flower distributor" - who has a medical license - can go to a dispensary and buy a clone and give it to me and we're legal. It would be legal even if I wasn't a CO resident. So all you need to do is find someone with a medical card.

True, as long as there's no money being exchanged for the plant, this does work out.

Or, if you just happen to know a grower who is willing to gift you a plant, your good.

However, if you get popped outside Colorado with said plant you're F**ked. Wyoming has already stated that they will be posting checkpoints along the CO boarder looking for anyone trying to transport anything into their state.

Maybe legal till you leave CO.

and I got a card, but and I wouldn't buy a cut from a dispo to save my life.

Still a bad idea.

Anyway, the point I was making , cuts from a dispo in CO taken home anywhere else is not legal and not a proper way to achieve a "new strain"

Hey folks. I live at 8000 feet and I have an emergency greenhouse power outage. Its 22f outside and Im going to lose all my plants. Does anyone have any suggestions atm?

Lowes, generator, get at least some lights and a heater on, or a propane heater. Maybe able to rent one from a party co. Or they have ones that look like shop lights and sit atop a propane tank...kerosene heater. Ask a neighbor...if they have power.
Good luck. I'm scared to death of that happening. First extra 500$ going to a generator

Your opinion about the proper way to achieve a new strain is duly noted. Although I never said anything about leaving the State. This is the Colorado's growers thread after all. lol

Are you from Texas?

Yeah, absolutely not from TX.

And this thread is for CO growers, but my original reply to the questions from BG was assuming he was not going to relo, only make the white knuckle trip to pick up cuts in CO and carry em back to KS or MS, who knows. Just didn't want folks rollin out thinking we've got cannabis plants to hand out as you cross the state line. I'm all for the movement, but the more people getting busted traveling from CO is only going to make life harder.

Honestly, I've had few issues with dispensary clones.

I've got better lines on clones than the average red card holder I guess. It helps to bing a scope with you to inspect the plants before taking them.

I got 2 clones in my current garden from dispensaries,... one had mites, but I got to tour the grow before I selected that one. I was willing to deal with the mites for the pay off that I saw in flower from it.

The other was unseen, but I went over it well before I accepted it and it was clean as a whistle! Even pulled it out of the pot and looked over the roots.

Propane heat.

Don't worry about going in there,,, get heaters that 'preferably' don't have low oxygen feature. Don't worry about watering seal it up and STAY OUT. Propane has a lot of water in it so the RH will rise considerably

Even 'weed burners' will work. Just keep the flammables away from the flame. The oxy is way low up there and a heater with low oxy sensors may not stay lit. Plants will grow well, but it'll KILL you.

The lack of oxygen is lethal for breathing animals....... you just go to sleep and don't wake up. Stay the fuck out till you've warmed it and ventilated it.

The bottle top heaters, are most convenient,,,but they will probably have low oxy shut offs. Most Cooking type burners didn't use to have them i.e. turkey burners, the old 2 burner set ups for hunting camp tents either.

An OUTDOOR grill does NOT have them either.....if you've got room for them. If there is a dump somewhere close, you'll probably find a couple dozen laying there waiting to be sold for scrap.

Good luck.

PS Sucks to be in a GH this winter up top. I just left the Mtn a couple weeks ago. I was burning too much propane. Almost 200 gallons already this winter. Back in town now,,, have almost a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. The Gulf is looking better and better.

Must admit, I'm real curious as to where in the Mountains it was as warm as 22*F at 06:00 a.m.,,,,, And WHY you would have a cycle in progress in a GH this time of year? ??????

WhaT were you Think'n? Hell it's too early even, to start plants for Outdoor Growing. It's -6*F in town this morning.

That's cool they let you see the flowers. And good thinking bringing a scope.

But like I said...1 of 2 had mites. And you knew that when you got home so you didn't infest your whole garden, but some unsuspecting people will buy "healthy, pest free rooted female clones" and then boom -infestation. Pest are part of it, but I try to keep from using pesticides. Say you don't have any thing on hand, count on spending at least $20 to treat your baby plants, you just spent $10-15 on.

I'm just not willing to take the risk, when I don't need to.

Did you get any propane delivered yet?

I read your thread. Bummer to run out of propane.

How much does that GH use per month in the winter? Gotta be some expensive weed!

Im not in the mountains, Im on the uncompaghre. It was around zero this morning at first light.

Yeah, this was a problem that could have been avoided but the lesson ive learned is to not rely on anyone else to maintain my greenhouse, especially someone who doesn't give a hoot about the plants inside.

Now I understand. Lesson learned. At least propane is readily delivered there, I suppose.

-6 huh... I'm glad he's working with 22, much easier to deal with.

My window thermo says -8 and it's nearly 9:30am. LOL 10k feet up is harsh.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:

:woohoo: Tropical heat wave. We're up to 18*F now.

Guess I'll have to fire up the snow blower now.

Ya'll have a good day.

I feel your cold. I left the Arkansas River Valley for the city just a few days ago... Just too cold, and burning too much prop to stay there all winter, while heating the house in town too. The valley where I'm at is just over 7500. According to the USGS Streamflow info.

If they find it will they charge you for intent to distribute out of state etc? or will they say fuck it he's a legal colorado resident w/ small amounts of herb?

Before 64 last year my Brother ( has med card ) was caught with a 1/4oz in his check-in bag by a dog, they pulled him and his wife off the plane for questioning. They're very puzzled why he was smuggling weed in to Mexico...lol

He told them he did not want to add to the problems down there so brought his own. Ended up with a $150 ticket and missed their flight, luckly another was leaving in 4 hours...

I would be Very Careful, Especially Now as more people try it...
