A little bird told me that the secret to a nice nose on the Adub is chopping and hanging the whole plant for a long, slow dry. Trim and manicure when she's dry. I've seen this work for more than one guy, more than one strain. I have no clue why it works, but the nose never lies.

And, if you are a coco nut, don't use pk boosters with an even p-k ratio, go with 0:1:2.

i do this with my plants at harvest, slow dry..

i hang them whole with the fan leaves and all, last batch was hanging for 14 days about..

this batch is 7 days or more in and still needs more time, maybe a week more.

UHN those are some good looking plants, what happened to the screens man?

Save that trim - those thin leaf sativas make for some far out edibles!

I often ditch the screens after stretch is under control. In this case, I wanted a little more stretch on the sativas, so I took them off a few weeks ago. With the screens removed, I feel like I can keep the underside of the canopy a little more free flowing air wise.

Yes, the sativas make amazing edibles. I've got a buddy who makes some mean fudge and the satty high makes for a more party geared experience. Up and psychedelic. You want to stand or move about. Music, lights..ignition.

The reveresed dubbtech7 pollen had some[/I ]juice apparently!

The Only Begotten from this adub dt7 experiment.

We're at 19 weeks with the Pure Purple Old Timers Haze from Ace, its just starting to color up and turn into calyxes.

Pele Haze (Hawaiian Snow x Napalm) - 2 phenos here, one very fire og looking, the latter has the ultra sativa stretch, but maintained the OG ish nugs.

Thank you for the kind words. There is no secret, I am an open book. Here's everything I do, from seed to chop.

Medium: Fox Farm Happy Frog with no additional nutes.
Water: Mountain Spring
Container Size: 4inch -> 1gal -> 5gal -> 10gal
Microbes: 1 tbsp Oregonism XL thrown on the base soil in the pot directly before each transplant.
Temps: 71F day / 60F night
Light: Lighthouse 240w LED 3watt chipset panel & 100w of 3500k CFLs over 15 sqft.
PGRs: MeJa (Jaz Rose Spray) at 50% of recommended dose every 4 weeks in flower.
Carbs: Blackstrap molasses added 1tsp per gal every 3rd or 4th watering in flower.

wow. way to really keep it simple man. very different from my water culture and all the attendant gadgetry. there's a certain elegance to your way though.

so you're flowering basically a 4x4 with a little under 400 watts and probably not generating enough heat to need any additional AC? that's exciting. and it would also explain how you can afford to run things that are old enough to get a drivers license by the time they are finished flowering. do your indicas come out tight and hard under the LED & CFL too? what sort of yields do you log with this technique vs HID? you've definitely got my attention.

Thanks sir, I aim to keep it as simple, cheap and as "organic" as possible. I've found the more I doctor the soil or add nutes to the plants - the more they hate me.

I've never run HID, I've always had a problem with running additional wattage (AC) because they're white-hot and I don't like blisters / fire.

I don't weigh anything, but my average screen yields roughly 2-3oz, unless I purposely over-veg or its a massive strain. To answer the size/density question, here's Sam Skunkman's Durban Poison x Skunk which was about 4oz.

Long time no IC.
Looking good Terpene. Those long season sativas were some of the first I ran back some 18 years ago. Definitely a long term commitment.

I found a couple of beans from the UK Cheese x DT7 cross. While not enough to go around they will give us a glimpse of what the potential is. I think cold temperatures contributed to the lack of offspring. Thanks for producing the pollen Growtech!

so if i'm understanding correctly, one screen is illuminated with one 240 watt led and 100 cfl, and that yields up to 4 zips?

Yep - there are 6 tomato cage screens, one comes down about every 3 weeks and I use the same screen for its replacement. Heres a shot of flower and a shot of the CFL assembly for the DIY crowd.

GT - Tastes like black licorice and menthol. If Kool cigarettes came out with a "Black" flavor they would taste like Sam's Durban Skunk cross. The high is what you'd expect, soaring sativa with a mild hint of paranoia / raciness from the Durban.
