I haven't read this whole thread, only a few random pages, but was wondering what peoples opinions were of Sour Diesel IBL compared to ECSD and Underdawg/ Daywrecker etc. etc.

I have some ECSD x Casey Jones, Underdawg x Strawberry Diesel and Sour Diesel IBL seeds, and i'm wondering which ones to try first??

Which would be closest to ECSD on page 104?

The Sour Diesel IBL is amazing. Some say that they like the ECSD over the IBL. Dude at this point I barely can tell the difference. I mean you can but Sour is Sour

It's tough to really really really know if you have the ECSD I guess. But me personally. I always had a thing for IBL since it came out. I remember someone gave me a 5 pack of Rez's SD IBL 06' or 07' I forget. And I remember being soooooooo happy cause I was dying to get my hands on any Rez gear let alone the IBL after seeing and doing so much research I was like I gotta have it man. But I guess it comes down to preference. I think I heard that the IBL High doesn't last long. But truthfully. Most sour diesels high usually last for like 30-40 mins. I personally just can't get enough of that smell and taste. NOTHING COMPARES to it. Just one of those strains man. Don't get me wrong though its def a topic of Serious debate. People take the diesel debates and conversations to a serious level. People take there diesels seriously. And i totally understand that too

coastal , daywrecker x ecsd sounds like a good choice ,could be the ultimate diesel .

What u call AJ's Original Sour Diesel is the cut known as East Coast Sour Diesel, which is a dominant phenotype of the Original Diesel. Both are from the same guy: Asshole Joe aka Weasel.

91 Chemdawg x (Mass SS x NL) = Original Diesel, Underdawg Diesel, Daywrecker, Headband etc...

(91 Chemdawg x (Mass SS x NL) x DNL = Original Sour Diesel aka East Coast Sour Diesel.

In other words, the Original Diesel is the mother of the Asshole Joe Sour Diesel cut which is the ECSD! The dad being a hermie female plant from the DNL.

I think there's more than one cut of the Underdawg around, my bro have one different than mine, which is not ECSD obviously. Silver - I mean I don't know. I'm a huge diesel junkie. So to me it's one of my favorite. But that's def just 1 out of a million strains out. And it's always nice to try some different stuff

Not sure who "Cali connection" is, buts its my understanding there are no ECSD in seed form... IBLs don't count.

Yeah that could be true. But. There are def some ECSD crosses in seed form. I'm guessing just not the straight ECSD in seed form. I love em all it's so hard to really know though if your truly getting real ECSD or just another diesel. For real though. Would you honestly know if you have the true ECSD and not just some Sour Diesel strain. Which in my opinion I know they aren't the same but some are pretty close I know a few people who do or did have it. They are the ones who started this thread n are a big part of it. Bottom line. There def is a difference though but who knows anymore with all the crosses out there. It's hard to really really be 100%. That's my opinion though not generally

Once again the AJ and ecsd are the same only way to get it is to get the real clone and the DAYWRECKER/headband is the Original diesel and its not the same as the sour D /ecsd/aj ... Remember not all growers can grow things correctly or have there enviroment dialed and thats why some heads sour d looks or smokes better than other's ..

Ran one cut of ECSD for many years across thousands of miles and finally lost her this past summer. Also lost a gifted clone just referred to as Sour Diesel. Slightly different hue was the only difference, both smelled identical, grew and produced the same, and were cherished around here.

Totally bummed out. It was the only plant I could kind of slack on the dry/cure and still have it be ridiculously funky smelling. Seriously dislike just about everything else I've grown - yield was fine for me, especially mono cropped and run vertically so she could stretch. Kicking myself every day.

all i know is that i have some outlaw ecpd that i am currently germin and its bred with the clone only ecsd. been forever since ive had ecsd and it is still my fave. dont think i will be disappointed in any pheno i get although having a ecsd dom would be nice

I'm taking down some sours over the next few days.Mostly they came out great but lots of spots were a bit burnt from over doing it on the vert lamps.This stuff is sensitive to too much light as far as facing a 1000W bare bulb.These were at least 3ft away but in combo with all the other bulbs I def burned the sour a bit.I turned off the big lamp for the last 7 days, I hate it when the flowers go yellow, the leaves I can cut out fine but flowers, not so easy.These were 75 days in when I cut them out to have a look.

Yes. According to what everyone is saying that AJ's Sour Diesel is ECSD. ECSD is the "Sour Diesel" cut that was passed out years ago. From what I've read it only started to be referred to as ECSD to differentiate it from Rezdogs Sour Diesel IBL which peeps started calling Sour Diesel. I also think folks started to call the cut original sour diesel also, but thats just my guess.
