The Crippler

I've also heard Oakland Crip, don't know if its the same. Sorry still haven't gotten around to pics.
The name game is a joke. I have a strain that's been around a while, afghani bullrider. People love it and Its super dank, but when I dealt with dispensaries they re named it bubba kush, master kush, _______ kush, etc... It is at least similar to bubba strains, but disp are mostly lame!!

Hey Northstar, i too have had this strain for a while and I love it! Without many references available online, I've had a tough time finding any valuable information for it. Maybe, you can enlighten us to your wisdom regarding this particular strain since you have experience with it. Maybe these experiences can help someone grow better.

My experience:

I take clones from a mother that I received as a seedling. The mother does not like to be fed regularly and prefers water most of the time. If I feed her too often, her leaves begin to fall and shoots refuse to grow. By far, she is the plant that requires the most attention in my collection.

The clones are not easy to keep healthy during the rooting process and many wither before roots have shown. The cloning is only surpassed in difficulty by my Skywalker plant. Once rooted, if predominantly healthy, the clone will take off and grow nicely.

I harvest after 55-60 days.

Any tips on how to have more success with this strain?

Yes no problem. First The mom needed to be started from a reallyhealthy clone that didn't try to flower while cloning or the mom wasn't in that weird pre flower stage. Mom is fed a 2_2_1 ratio with gh 3 part. Never pull the plant from 24 hours of light unless your human flower the plant. Clones have to be damp not wet. I foliar spray with x nutes grow grow spray.. transplant into a 3 gal pot then 5 to 10 gal pot ... constant feeds like in coco for example helps the needing to upsize pots .. I slowly got her to take 1000ppm in veg and up to 1500 in flower ....

Thanks for the great tips. Speaking of things she likes, I use some actinovate every now and then and it really helps to keep her happy.

Hey,
Checking back in and with some pertinant info. Crippler and American Crippler are the same plant with a re-name. OGK x Jolly Rancher is whats inside and genetics of JR are unknown to my friend. I am not looking to grab fans on here just pass info that is correct and help others. Northstar22 that is most definately her. I have grown a couple outside and they do great. As for the name my guy has been a cardholder since '97 and a local advocate and helper of many in need and he needs a cane to get around so...NS

thank you sir, for the clarification. Glad to get that Trainwreck nonsense out of the equation. Jolly is listed as Huckleberry x Big Bud, but I've heard that its something else, not huckleberry, but Im trying to verify that as we speak. Again, thank you very much. I am curious, is the Oregon Huckleberry the same as the NorCal Huckleberry?(Oregon Blueberry x Morning Glory)

hi,
im not convinced that what ive run maybe 40-50 times is an og x big bud x huckleberry.
chasing the what is this strain really is most of the time a wasted pursuit. we believe what we want most of the time.
im lucky. i run the largest legal plant operation in the entire north coast. i see so many strains and hold a shitload more. when you can compare in person one thing to another it helps create clarity. doesnt always make it perfectly clear but it sure does help to give perspective. im not saying what crippler is or what it isnt but id bet money that some tw lurks inside this plant.
best,
30y

IMO trainwreck is unmistakeable in a cross.. If its in there u know it right away that pungent funk comes out no matter what it is crossed with.. I have had lots of tw crosses although .. I havents smoke crippler .... That I know of ... had some crippies back in the 90s don't remember much of it except I through the last blunt out my sunroof thinkn I was gettin stopped ... They just went by ... Also recently had some shit killa krypt kush which was is also 3xkrazy nuwave sour grapes so many names for same shit it's hard to keep up...
To me it sounds like 2 diff cuts or jolly has some tw in there somewhere.."

Have you grown the strain. Have you had the pheno me and 30y are talking about. I am still not convinced there is not train wreck in the cross.. I don't get the og funk either

been smoking it and looking at it for a year or so now. My bud just called and said the jolly rancher story is a lie, lol. He says, and its his plants I been lookin and seeing and smokin, he went to Nocal some years ago and got it:, lol, its OGK, I believe the SFV and the other parent is Pineapple Kush crossed with NYCD. Believe it or not, he supposedly knows the guy that made it, its been around for about 3 years. Just relaying the message, but the one he grows is a straight up OG Kush cross, powerful, heavy smoke and leaves a jolly rancher lemon taste in your mouth, even has a gold/green sort of tinge when cured, meaty dense buds.. It looks nor smells nor smokes like any TW cross out there. Sorry. That's what I got. I don't know bout any phenos, the pheno he grows may have come from seed, but he got it in cut form. There is no denying the OG in it. Period. With buzz and taste and look. It may not be YOUR plant, but the one Northstate mentioned and the one Im talkin bout is the same thing.

viney plant, almost doesn't look like mj, slight resemblence to ducksfoot. Three finger round leaves in veg, to five in flower, but non serrated looking, rounder looking leaves, almost doesn't look like weed. The buds grow in clusters, kinda sorta, like grapes or currants. The weed is diesely and musky sour on the inhale, slight lemon sour on exhale, expands like a mofo and very very good. Again, if you ever had any OG and TW, you can till in an instant its got OGK in it. Just went and looked at the plant before chop, thats the notes I took, take it or leave it, like it or not,

hi,
we are running different plants. the crippler i have has a leaf serration so pronounced it kinda reminds me of the hawaiin war clubs i saw in the islands. i would like to run what you have. i prefer kush influence on the smoke end. the one we are running is perfect for that uplifting need and visually it is just stunning. aside of the desire to trigger into flower easily she is solid.
best,

Im assuming thats the diff in the Crippler name and the American Crippler name. But what we have is the American Crippler that has been around for bout three yrs. Stoney Girl also has a Crippler that is thai x big bud, so who knows. I just know this one is never referred to as just the Crippler, its the American Crippler. And its a dense meaty OGkush powerhouse, not weak ass uplifting daytime smoke, two or three one hits, cough, high for three hours, like a good OG. Hate to be the voice of dissention, but given the scene these days, Im really not surprised. Names come out of the woodwork everywhere, lol. Grow what ya got bro, if it does the trick, but Im here to tell you the American Crippler yields great, and is powerful pain meds, not uplifting daytime chit. And has no TW nor BB innit, lol. They truly must be diff plants, go figure. I'll hollar next time I find a bean or two in a bud for ya. I've got somebody growin some now as we speak, just hope it turns out as good as mom.
