new grow setup. used to do soil but scored a cheap ebb and grow setup. after cleaning n setup i finally got some rooted clones in but they seem to be struggling a bit. currently ph around 5.5, ppm450, 45 gal reservoir, two 600w lights going 24hrs cooled from air outside with hepa filter. temp ranges between 74 to 81.running advanced nutrients at 20% should i just run water for the clones? some of them look either over watered or underwatered. i have one ebb and flow cycle going.

I'm a little confused. These are all rooted? If they are rooted you can run at 100% nutrients. With advanced I would start off at 50% their shit is way to strong. I used it for the last 5 years. You are running your lights 24 hours right now? do you have access to a t5 or other cfl for vegging?

yeah they are rooted, lights are on 24hrs, i some small florescent lights but there small, and one metal halide bulb, they are both hps currently. they might just be in a little shock from moving them outside of the humidity dome.

Hey man, from my limited experience, I would hazard a guess that 2x 600watt lights is quite full on for plants at that stage of their growth cycle.

I would take up Socialists suggestion.

I have a 400w and a 600w and I only plan to use both (1000w) when the plant is in the latter stage of flowering. So yeah, perhaps the plants are getting to much light to handle.

I was using a 400watt light on my clones. While they didn't seem to mind it, the light was about 7 feet above them. I switched to a set of flouro's with a proper light spectrum for cloning/seedlings and they are going waaay better now!

Yeah sure, you have to fork out cash for a new light, but how much are the HPS lights costing you in electricity during a phase where you don't really need them? That's how I justified buying the proper lights.

alright m8 your hitting em with too much light i would invest in an adjusta watt digital ballast from progrow qualty ballests you can run your bulbs at 250watt 400watt600watt
and runs metal halide and hps..i would use t5 or 250watt m/h till there settled in but if you omly have a 600watt raise it way up till they settle in and lower it a bit everyday
hope you get it sorted Peace
