ALOHA!! Checking in. No action yet, not one seed has cracked. Soon come I hope.

Shapes- Nice to have you on board. I see the PCK is a hot number this year. Good luck.

edelweiß- I got the TOK from a member here on the boards, who shall remain nameless unless he wants me to say so. The original seeds are from Mark Castle himself.

wildgrow-Nice to have you aboard :)

TheFlyinHaWyn!-Aloha my bruddah:) Nice to see you onboard. Yes I am gonna do this outdo, and in a green house. We r gonna put most of the females down on the coast a buddy's house. The rest stay upcountry to make seed. And yeah, last season was rough, the worst in my life. All I know is this is a different year, so onwards and upwards.

Thinking of starting the sativas, but cannot decide between them. Maybe you guys can help? I have the following choices.

Burmese from Reeferman
Colombian Mango Biche from Cannabiogen
Columbian Black
Columbian Red
Nevilles Haze x Mullimbimby Maddness from Shanti
Da greens 83' from Maui
Hawaiian Sativa from Big Island
Maui Wowee, the real deal from Maui
Puna Haze
Purple Passion from DJ Short

I also have some Bohdi seeds stuff, Ancient OG and Blue Lotus that I'm thinking of popping. I just cannot make up my mind :)

I'm posted for this run I love the selection CB lines n that TOK has always intrigued me . Where is that Hindu Kush from ?

Your sativa lineup is SIC I'd love too see them all grown out but you know what best suits your needs n climate personally I think NH x Mm would be a great choice because MM is a special line which is strong n resistant . It also be great to get ya feedback since this line hasn't been reviewed yet

I'd love too see that Maui wowee n puna haze aswell as Colombian black all legendary status an rare as fukk to see a grow of

Best wishes

WOOHOO!!! We have crackage. I got 3 out of 4 Taskenti's and 2 out of 10 PCK's in soil as of today. I'm hoping the rest will crack overnight or tomorrow. I'm really excited about this.

edelweiß- Wanted to tell ya no worries and no offense taken about the questions you asked. I am more than happy to share my experience and knowledge best I can. I dug a little deeper and this is what I found about the Talk of Kabul (TOK).

"ToK stands for Talk of Kabul. It is and IBL from Afganistan in 96.It was taken in a raid by US Special Forces from a warlord who was supporting the Taliban from the sales of hash and opium. He was also a low level Member of the Afgan Goverment and after several tries at a joint operation that failed, US Special Forces payed him a visit. He had been raided before by the Soviets and his ansesters had even been raided by the Romans but up to this point they had always evaded capture and kept seed stock intact. Not this time however! Everything else besides the small sample of seed I got from a friend in Army Intel was destroyed. One of the things that makes this strain so different is it was from such a remote area it didn`t get crossed with other kush genetics like most crops in the kush range. My friend couldn`t pronounce the name it was given by the locals so it was named after the influence the hashish had at tea houses in and around Kabul.I also got some samples of the poppie seeds but they turned out to be China White, while they are premium quality poppies ,they are not all that rare except perhaps in Afganistan.

Make sure to drop off the nutes a little early and give it a good flush and long cure for better flavor. Sometimes ToK can get a little nasty in flavor but it makes up in punch."

bigherb- Aloha Brah and welcome aboard:) The Hindu Kush I have is originally from Sensi Seeds, then grown in NorCal for yrs and yrs. If I remember right it was first release packs they sorted through back in the day. Real kushy with lots of bottom, just a real good line.
I agree with you about these Sativa's being rare as fuck, I am blessed to be holding these beans. Truth be told I have 10-20 other strains that I have not mentioned that are as rare or rarer then these. Maybe I will make the master list soon :)

Subpar germination and Fire Ants..

Subpar germination and Fire Ants..

Ok Final tally on crackage stats on Cannabiogen strains
100% germination with Taskenti. 4/4
20% germination with PCK 2/10.
10% germination with Sandstorm 1/10

I have also been INVADED with fire ants from outside.. They got in my seedlings and wrecked havoc. Killed all but 4 PCK's. None of the Taskenti were affected. I have since exterminated most of them buggers, but they are still here and still causing problems. I must find the mound I have been told. I will get you fire ants..

I lost the Hindu Kush crack to fire ants and maggots. Weird but true. The bugs got in the plastic bags through a crack in the zip seal...Looking for water no doubt. Ruined 100%.. Im gutted. I lost 60+ seeds on this fiasco.
Its bugs in the jungle, whatcha gonna do:)

The Mark Castle TOK is safe for now.. Final tally soon.

Dirtboy808-ALOHA!! Good to see your onboard. Hope your Yr was successful and woohaa its a new one!! Last yr was da worst ever for me. Onwards and upwards. this yr gonna rock!! Hope all is well :)

Sativasfied-Aloha, thanks for the advice. I have run the Nevilles Maddness last yr, Im gonna do it again this yr fo sho'. As to the Burmese, Im gonna take your advice on this one. I have grown Burmese before, Blue Burmese also. It was awesome smoke, liked the jungle..Good choice, nice to have you onboard :)

Aloha everyone:) So I got the fire ants under control for the time being. These little bugggas is nasty. My new public enemy#1

Not sure what to say about the germ rates . The only strain that worked was Taskenti. I will post pics of the youngins so we can all see some Tanskenti..
I'm really really disappointed in the germ rates for the PCK and Sandstorm. Not sure if it was old seed or just my luck?

I have decided to go with the Burmese from Reeferman and the Nevilles Madness for my Sativas this year.

I also am gonna plant more of the Spicy Thai and Giesel seeds I have from SoCalSeeds.I was extremely impressed with both last yr.I gotta get me some more of those beans :)

Did the ants get the TOK too?

That sucks.
Thank god the answer is NO.They munched the PCK big time and really liked the Hindu Kush. They absolutely avoided the Taskenti and TOK, not a bite or even a problem. They even avoided getting in the soil in those strains. Not sure why, I used the same soil, in the same tray as everything else. At this point they seem to be fire ant resistant, which is a positive here.

I'm glad I don't have them at my house!! I'm getting me a green house for this summer, the kind they have at that place in Keaau. It works good for my neighbor, he doesn't have the rot like me. I will use cloth on ends that will keep out the bore beatle, I hope .
It is dumping to day. When you popping for the long season? Aloha DB

G`day JoJo

Are you sure about the NHz x MM is from Shanti ??
That cross was done by Nevil . In a private venture outside the Mr Nice label . With the Mullum coming from Kangativa .
I remember you posting a few months back re seeds from the same breeding venture . Interested to know how they went . I have a good friend in the Islands growing and breeding with Kariba x Early Mullum .
