Ray lewis.. No credit for his teammates. All the credit to God. What a fucking asshole.
Yet another reason to hate the baltimore ravens.

I see a failed sports bar in his future, then the story of his divorce, selling his house & then his SB rings. an idiot will always fail.

Considering he's made close to 100 million in salary, not counting endorsements, and that he gave up his mink coat and entourage ways after his criminal case a decade ago, and he's got a tv analyst job waiting for him next season, im going to say he's gonna be just fine.
Also, he's not married, but he does have 6 kids. At least the oldest doesn't need college money, he's got a full ride to Miami...

Iggles just resigned Vick to a 1 year deal worth 10mil (?). Looks like he swallowed his pride and accepted a chance to prove himself all over again.
Vick has the skills to make Chip Kelly's offense hum, if he can take care of the ball and avoid big hits. Those are big if's, ones he hasn't adequately addressed the past two years, but still, it is intriguing to think of the possibilities...

Kansas city in talks to acquire Alex Smith from the Niners. So they're not going to take Geno Smith at #1 overall?
I think Geno and Matt Barkley sneak into the bottom of the first round this year. It's a QB league, and some team will be desperate enough to take one a bit earlier than projected...

Smith to Bowe combo should be nice.... even better is Jamal Charles under Andy Reid is going to be insane!!

None of the QB's in this years draft are going round 1...

USC's Barkley has the biggest noodle arm ever... scouts will stay far away from him in the first round

Is Jamaal much of a pass-catcher then? Any way to get the ball in his hands is a good thing. He had way too many up and down games last year; he'd either get 20 yards or 200, with no inbetween, seemingly.

Star Lotulelei was diagnosed with an abnormal heart condition, maybe congenital or maybe a side effect of trying to shed weight shortly before the combine. Hope he turns out ok, he stands to lose millions if he isn't.

Manti Catfish had some pedestrian combine numbers, but i wouldnt mind seeing him suit up at MLB for the Bears next season. He's got good football instincts and i think that will help him stay on the field on passing downs, despite the naysayers who think he's a 2 down LB.

I am with you baba, Manti will be a 3 down LB in the NFL, he lacks 40 yard dash speed, but like you mentioned his instincts make him much quicker on game day. I think the thing that will hurt him the most in the draft is the tape of how he looked in the national championship game against Bama.

Flacco just signed a 6 year, 120M dollar contract that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history.
Is he worth it? He had a helluva postseason, he routinely plays twice as well in the playoffs as he does in the regular season.
But at that price, he better have another super bowl title in him.
If only he had reached his peak when the Baltimore D was in it's prime, they would have won 3-4 championships, easy...

It looks like the Ravens structured the deal well. I heard Flacco's cap number for 2013 was 6.8 mil, but not sure past that. Either way, both sides gambled by not signing a deal before the season and Flacco hit the jackpot. Even without Cameron running the offense, I can't see Flacco being worth more than 11-12 mil a year.

Ah, the Steelers logo over a sphincter. Trying to burn that image out of my head, let me take another hit...

Flacco feels 'respected' because of this deal. Because, you know, if he were only making 15 million a year, that would be a slap in the face.

He's such an even-keeled guy though, he might be able to prove worthy of the contract. A more sensitive guy might feel the pressure to live up to it and would falter. He's so purposefully oblivious to the pressures of the NFL that he might succeed; success in his case being continued winning in the playoffs.

In the regular season, you pay him like he's a journeyman starter; in the playoffs you pay him like he's Joe Montana 2.0. Kind of like Eli in that way...

Free agency starts this week.
James Harrison was released by the Steelers. Reggie Bush is leaving the Saints. Falcons DB Dunta Robinson was released and is going to sign with the Chiefs.
Anquan Boldin refuses to take a pay cut and Flacco agrees with him; if Flacco really had his back, he wouldn't have asked for a record breaking contract. But i guess not every NFL qb has a supermodel wife who makes 40mil a year...

For supposedly 11mil a year. Were the Dolphins bidding against themselves for Wallace?
I know outside receivers get a premium over slot guys, but dang that's a lot. Guess he did the smart thing and held out for free agency rather than sign the 7-8 mil/yr deal that Antonio Brown got last year.
Steelers have to look for another target for Big Ben. They did well in replacing Santonio Holmes' production when they let him go to the Jets. Is Emmanuel Sanders ready to step up?

I don't get the point of of Bush to the Lions. They already have the bruiser in LeShoure, who should have more quickness another year removed from the Achilles injury and Bell. But, I don't understand a lot of what the Lions do.

Maybe they saw enough of Leshoure last year to know he's not the guy?
But definitely, the Lions need more defense. Suh has taken a step back from his rookie season.
Harvin to the Seahawks is big. They should challenge the 49ers for NFC west supremacy, those should be some good games.
Now All Day has to run for 2500 yards next year to keep the Vikings offense moving, lol...
