Organic Bed Grow: TahoeOG, OTMxChem4, OTMxIBG, DeadheadOG, Bangi Haze, Happy Brother

Hello everybody!

After being a long time lurker and absorber of knowledge, I am finally going to start documenting my work here. I have been popping beans about 2 weeks apart for the following strains:

Set 1:
Cali Connection TahoeOG
Mosca Old Time Moonshine x Chemdawg #4

Set 2:
Mosca Old Time Moonshine x Indiana Bubblegum
Mosca Cinderella99 BX1

Set 3:
Cali Connection DeadheadOG
Ace Seeds Bangi Haze
Karma Genetics Happy Brother BX2

I have learned so much from JayKush, MicrobeMan, ClackamasCootz, and MANY others via this forum and have been learning more and more about sustainable, organic, and superior sources of nutrition for my plants. I am using Effective Microbes, have my own worm bin that has been going for a few months now, and have done much research into soil remineralization. Gary Kline and Michael Astera, along with Steven Solomon are inspirations. My first set of seedlings is about a foot and a half tall and I was transplanting them tonight, here is a shot of what I threw together for my babies:

I'll post up some pictures of the TahoeOGs and the OTMxChem4s in a day or two after I finish getting a few other things out of the way. Thanks for all the knowledge that is here on these forums!

nice can you drop a list of your ingredients... May use something similar if your grow goes well.

Nice start though, will stay tuned.

Sorry for the massive delay before new pics and more info, I ended up going back to the East Coast for the holidays and will be back with much more pics and info on Jan. 3rd! I can't wait to share all I can and spread all the mineral-rich organic love that I can ;o) Happy New Year's!!!

The soil I am using is from a local soil guy named NorCal Soil Builders (http://norcalsoilbuilders.com). I got it last run and I am amending it with AgroWinn Worm Castings and Minerals, Azomite, Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust, Organic Neem and Karanja Cakes from Ahimsa, Neem Leef and Bark (also Ahimsa), and a variety of sea vegetables (Kelp, Sea Lettuce, Dulse) from Mountain Rose Herbs. I also added some Malibu Biodynamic Compost and Soil Reef BioChar (I was tight on time and just found out about BioChar, from now on I'll be making my own). I also use Wiggle Worm castings when I transplant and for teas. I have my own homemade castings in the works that I make from my brewed herbal teas (I am an avid herbalist and drink a metric ton of tea each day...) and household veggie scraps (my girlfriend is vegan and I try to eat a balanced diet...). I also feed the worms Agrowinn Minerals and Azomite as grit. The worms also get sprayed with SCD Probiotics BioAg once a week or so if they need moisture.

I start all my seeds in Black Gold Natural & Organic (the orange striped one) in 4" nursery containers. Once they are ready, I transplant to one gallons and add some castings and mineral supplements, neem & karanja cakes, and some kelp, insect frass, and noni powder. Some Root Bloom by Beneficial Biologics gets rubbed onto the roots and the young plants are given some water and compost tea. For my compost teas I follow MicrobeMan's basic recipes with some occasional boosters of noni fruit and maybe alfalfa too...

All the soil in the main room is in an 8' x 8' x 12" giant bed. I have a thin layer of #4 Perlite on the bottom, but the bed itself has no drainage. I have a homemade vortex brewer which I'll post pictures of when I'm back home for the compost teas (I usually do once a week or once every other week, depends on how busy I am). Also, my water goes through a Tall Boy filter with the chloramine filter, and a Penergetics AquaKat, into a 55 gallon pickle drum into which I tossed a large handful of EM Ceramic Type K pipes. All those things should give me clean water that resembles a mountain spring source (which my local water company starts from, but adds the chemicals most Americans are familiar with...)

Hi There!

Just wanted to post some pictures of the babies, I just flipped these last night, here's a kinda shitty picture, but I'll get better ones once I get everything prepared...

Blue tags are OTMxChem4(mosca). Orange tags are TahoeOG(caliConnect).

Just got my soil test results back from Logan Labs. I calculated what my soil needed via Steve Solomon's book "The Intelligent Gardener." I am awaiting the arrival of the individual amendments that I ordered quite cheaply from www.soilminerals.com (Michael Astera's super informational website). I am going to amend the soil within a few days and transplant the lucky seedlings (which will hopefully all shown sex by the time the amendments arrive next week, I already had one male OTMxChem4, but he was a beauty...) into the large organic bed and continue to fertilize with homemade compost teas, guano teas, and other nutrient and microbial rich concoctions...

Overall I am pumped about my organic matter content and overall "not-so-badness" of my soil, but I can't wait to get my TCEC up! Hopefully the living mulch layer of microclover that I am about to add as well as the recommended amendments I mentioned, along with some BioAg humic acid and fulvic acid, I can turn this soil into something ultra-mega productive ;o) I have also really been impressed with the effectiveness of the Sonic Bloom product and the AgroWinn Worm Castings!!! Much love to all who have inspired and can't wait to keep learning! Will post more new pics once I remount the exhaust fans and figure out a problem or two I have been having with my house's electrical system...

Ok, so I got a call from Logan Labs this morning and they informed me a mistake had been made on my report, which was enlightening news because I thought the TCEC of 2.7 was way off! Apparently it was more like 35+!!! Quite nice! All my love and quest for an ultimate easy organic system is working pretty well apparently! ;o) Awaiting my minerals but heres the new info:

Sorry for taking forever to post pictures, but I just got over being sick and I wanted to give the ladies some time to get situated in their new home. I ended up having the first of the four lights in the bed filled with OTMxChem4 and TahoeOGs. These guys and three Purple Diesels make up the first light (under my new Gavita 600!) and are about 30 days into flowering. The second light is filled with 11 or so super tall Champagne plants from a friend. They were transplanted in about 10-14 days ago and are going to be trained a lot better tomorrow night and maybe lollipopped...not really too good at the whole canopy management thing, I am looking forward to having a streamlined and more even selection of clones, but I gotta get through getting this perpetual harvest going! Any input or advice would be much appreciated, I am loving the way some of these ladies are looking though!

Here's a few crappy pictures with the hps on...I'll take some tomorrow when they are dark so we can all see a lot better ;o)

With a large dose of curiosity i will monitor your thread. The plants are just gorgeous. I'm interested in the recipe for that organic tea.

Those look really nice, that soil should only get better if you continue to amend in those beds..
