Pollen droppin' @ day 10 ... from my previous grows this seems rather quick to occur...? Anyone have some input there?

Pollen was collected and applied to a few areas earlier today. Already seen a few browning pistils indicating it was successful ... :good:

Awesome to see your nice healthy sours! I think the reason that male spewed so fast is that the nycd mom is amazingly fast....right around 50-55 days. None of the progeny have gone past 65 days for me, and most are 55 or so. Really looking forward to the flowers....keep rockin it

Thanks for dropping by dramamine! Healthy ... yes! Tall ... Yes! Getting sticky ... yes! This is day 18 of flowering and they are still stretching. Some are now approaching 2 1/2 feet tall. Is it unusual to go from 5 inch tall clones to over 26" in 18 days? Mind you, these 9 female clones are squeezed in a 2ft x 2ft area. Am I being overly concerned or what? Need some input folks ... lets hear it.

Definitely the more you pack in the space, the more stretch you'll get. All fightin for the light like a bunch of hooligans. If the lowers don't get as much light, the tops will pick up all the extra energy. Pinch those tops, though.....even every day is ok. Bend them over if you need to.

I can't bare to pinch tops once they are flowering, but I may have to with this setup and plants. Something seems amiss to me, wondering if a light leak may be getting in? Only way to positively answer that is clear the box and sit indian style inside it. I already did that once the system was set, but stuff happens we all know that.

Anyway, here's some shots from tonight of the 2 different female clones at 18 days.

Opinions are welcomed.

Well, hmm ... DOH! ... silly me. The darn light on the surge protector wasn't covered! No other light leaks. The reddish light seemed to effect a couple plants some, I have no idea how much though. Thankfully my reflector blocked most of the light. I trimmed these up and opened up the canopy to hopefully slow vertical grow some...and of course open up a ton of bud sites.

Rollin' on ...

End of week 3 Flowering

End of week 3 Flowering

Here is the update for the end of week #3 flowering, 21 days old. You can start to see the differences between the 2 mother plants.

My light leak was fixed and I have defoliated these hopefully for the last time. My reflector is nearly as high as it'll go now too. If these keep stretching I have a few options. Widen the area and lean the plants over some, or better yet go VERTICAL, losing the reflector to gain upwards of 10-12 inches of useable vertical space.

Seeds are forming well it seems. Plants are ever so slowly dropping their oldest leafs from Phosphorous deficiency. It does not appear to be anything to worry about yet.

Lookin good in there. They stopped stretching just in time, huh? Can you smell anything in particular off those girls now? I didn't realize how much light you had packed in there....holy shit! Let's see how they pack it on now.

Hey D ... I have been measuring them and they grew just under a half inch this last 24 hours ... before that they were averaging 1, sometimes 2 inches per day, so yea, I'll say the stretch is on it's way out....and not a moment too soon LOL.

They have odors for sure, the simple leaf resin rub gives off a sourish tangy smell from my plant #3, I assume it has more Sour D in it. My plant #4 is a little darker, more developed, and by all means more odorous with whiffs of various stinches. It's still early, things will develop and get more pronounced soon.

Yeah, I packed 2 150w hps lamps in the 2 foot by 2 foot area... it is a bit bright in there. The strong light seems to penetrate down to 18" or so which is good for 150 watters IMO.

Yeah, Chill, that's exactly right. The darker leaves are a trait of the indica pheno nycd mother. Sour D has lighter, more lime colored ones. The nycd phenos usually finish at least a week sooner, but you just never know. Keep the sweet updates comin, bro.

Had to rearrange things so I could gain every vertical inch possible. Plants are lookin' and smellin' wonderful, photo's come later today.

Just a few personal notes ... Plant #4 has the thicker fuzzier lookings pistils. Vertical growth has ceased for both #3 and #4 plants. Resin production is way up. Due to several minor issues along the way I want to rerun these nycdxsd crosses to see their full potential. May put a few in with my future Satori run.

Man, they look really good. Might be your first grow in awhile, but you obviously know what you're doing. All that light is gonna make those girls fat. Thanks for the great pics.
