Mont Rolls with the Punches

Sorry for the lack of updates but between electrical problems and emergency room visits it has been a pretty tough week. But I got an electrician out here to give me 2 dedicated 20 amps, way more than I need but it leaves room for growth.

Since I was extremely sick for a couple days I wasn't able to check PH and I guess it drifted a little too high in the Green Crack res which caused a manganese deficiency and stunted the growth a little, but the buds are still growing nicely. I am thinking about doing a res change soon to feed them a little stronger. I might flush the GC when I do that as they haven't been flushed once the whole time.

Here is what I am pretty sure now is the green crack

Day 20 Flower:

Loving the structure I think I should get a nice top out of this one.

Getting some frost!!

Now the question to defoliate or not? I think I am gunna leave these girls alone this round because they are only about 18 inches tall and the 1000w should penetrate most if not all of that. If I get a bunch of larf at least I will know what to look out for next time.

Respect OG Day 20 Flower:

Much smaller than the GC but she also is an 11 week finisher compared to 7 with the GC.

Finally had to do some tie downs it should be pretty interesting to see how much of this screen fills up.

She isn't looking to bad underneath but if the top fills up nicely in the next week or so I might lollipop them.

You are right again AS the respect is taller but the buds are a little smaller. And thank you for the kind thoughts.

Things are moving along pretty nicely coming up on a month in flower. I did a res change and something went wrong with the green crack.

It started with one leaf looking like this

Then the next day when I checked a bunch of leaves had died and looked like this

No clue what happened but we flushed her and changed the res again making sure to clean everything extra this time. She stopped growing for a day but started bulking back up after the res change so hopefully things get better.

The respect started to get a little green so I cut her nutes in half and she responded really well. She is only getting bloom right now at 450 ppm .5 conversion. I will do that for a few more days then I will get her back on lucas but more like 5/10 or 6/12 instead of 8/16.

So I flushed them all day yesterday and added nutes back to the respect today with 5/10 lucas because they never really liked to much nutes. The GC is still being flushed because the damage was much worse. It is crazy how much they are still growing even with all the stress, I wonder how these girls would do with a more experienced grower in a dialed room. I am sure the results would be amazing.

I almost have my new and improved tent up and running here is a little preview.

HFd185G.jpg

I am going to do flood tables again but this time I got a Secret Jardin dr150 2 and the difference in size made things a little different for the flood and drain fittings.

Now instead of having the tables on a stand in the tent they are just sitting on the floor and drain through holes in the bottom.

There are 3 tubes: 1 for overflow; 1 for the pump, and one is a constant drain that goes the whole time the pump is on.

You can see 2 in the front and kind of see 1 in the back

They are all fit in with grommets which added a nice professional looking touch.

The constant drain will be attached to the side of the res just above water level and it has holes drilled in to give it a waterfall effect while the pump is on. This should add some extra aeration in the res but I really did it because it looks cool haha.

not sure if those holes will be enough so I might cut a slit in the top if the tube also.

I think the GC could have taken the 8/16 if I didn't try to use any KoolBloom but with the OG it seems that less is more.

The Green Crack is really an amazing strain, I have abused the hell out of her and she just keeps coming back for more. I think I am going to beat my 7 grams per plant minimum target. but still nowhere near my ounce per plant ultimate goal.

If this is ur first grow i would go with just a base of 8/16 an no boosters besides root hormones. You would believe the results you can get from just the lucas base.

I really didn't have my head wrapped around the whole nutrient thing before I started this grow, it is kind of a lot to take in at first. But I feel I have learned a lot from my mistakes and luckily it doesn't seem like the plants are punishing me too much for them. Next run I will probably stick to lucas with only roots excelurator.

I also think I will cull more of the weaker clones before flipping because some of the plants that looked scraggly from the start are just taking up room now that the healthier plants would have filled in. I will probably shoot for 9 plants per table in flower.

The green crack is still struttin along even with the flush, she is supposed to be ready by day 49 so I am a little torn on if I should get her some more nutes or just keep with the plain water.

Not sure if she is just done bulking or if the flush slowed her down but she isn't putting on weight like she was last week.
