Silver: the small seeds with no striping is a trait of some Mexican plants. The big tiger striped seeds come from the indica that was crossed in. So thats where these traits come from but I dont know though if the seed appearance has any effect on how the seedling inside actually turns out.

All of us that grow from seed can find phenos that are no better then brick. I found a few in Somas ROCK BUD, SOL BS 2.2, allot from BCBUD....When you guys find these just give them to a dispensary... Anytime I get low quality phenos they get homes with people that dont have the means's to get meds..

Brick weed seeds are good to learn how to grow.. They can be monster plants. This is where you can learn all the techniques to keep plants short..If you screw up its no big deal..Brick does not get the same care we put into out grows. I dont think they use any fertilizers? what ever they get is what they sale. They compress it takes up less space..I think we all have tried to grow these at some point when we where young.. I had plants going in my backyard from tossing seeds out my window. My dad was not happy with 50 plants growing on the side of the house one year lol. he made me go kill them all..

When I went to college in Tucson I would get what we called Mexican pretendica, it wasn't compressed into bricks, they were big fat skunky colas with few seeds...if I were to grow out bag seeds, these would have been my top choice. You never know, with some care and a proper cure you might find something amazing.. DHF has mentioned many times in the vert section that he once had a Mexican skunk hybrid that no strain could compare to.

yes the most important thing I learned from my first grow is genetics is EVERYTHING. If you take shit genetics and grow them great you get nicely grown shit herb trust me I have done this but if you take great genetics and grow them half ass you still get better herb than the shitty genetics you tried. Imop its not worth the money in medium ,electricity, nutrients , space, and time to grow that junk. Now if it was some AAA top shelf herb you found seeds in or maybe even some mids then ya might be worth it but not shit mexi brick that shit is just trash i'd wait till you do your outdoor venture to try them out but thats me. Hell look stank bros is about to re list some chronic gear get you $70 together and try to score a pack of those or any gear from the bay for that matter.

i grow bagseed all the time and i have a large collection. grow it out, you won't be disappointed if you know anything about growing and training and topping. bagseed plants can be from anywhere, it's not just imported weed that gets bricked, lots of local people brick their weed up too. maybe for ease of packing, maybe for camo to make it seem like mexican weed and throw the heat off, i dunno. but if the weed you smoked had a nice high, the seeds should turn out to be even better when grown right. read some of my threads, if you can grow in a better setup than that then you can grow any kind of seeds and get good results.

I have been growing out brickweed seeds the last four grows with other beans I bought. I got a great blueberry smelling sativa leaning plant from one of the seeds. I can tell you that I haven't seen any mostly sativa plants since collecting schwag seeds starting around 2006. Grow them out.

Ive made seeds of 3 different brickweeds over the past 10 yrs or so. My buddy deals in it a bit and he see's several kilo's a week. It can range from mediocre to straight up grail shit. Ive grown and saved seeds from 3 of them over that period of time and have had grows of them. The range from a very tall lanky sativa to a relative large yielder that appeared to be indica dominant.

One of those 3 that ive kept has potency levels clearly at 20% and is equal to jherrer or sensi star potency.

i tossed a brick seed grew one plant out side and tossed a clone inside everyone who smoked it thought it was super lemon haze it was real lemony threw veg and threw the bud stage was a real racey intense head high that lasted for about 3 hours.i gotta say it wasnt all bad news for me.i doubt people even mexican purposly toss crapy seeds in the ground.what you get with a bag of schawg is weed thats not cured to perfection its also smashed and sometimes smothered in gas so who knows what the schaw plant really was in the garden.i never seen a schwag plant i dont think they exsit.

There is a big difference between sexy mex and schwag
I can't tell you which one you have but schwag is worthless
sexy-mex on the other hand can be good and be very large yeilding if planted outdoors

I will bet it will outgrow anything you plant next to it

Just plant that seeds. If you are a novice grower, it will teach you the very basic of growing, you will learn the differences in vegatative and flowering periods, germination, dealing with plagues, sun hours, when is necessary to water, in short: invaluable experience.
Even in the worse case scenario, you will be getting a harvest that is better that most in the illegal market. Most of this plant are not very demanding.
I am still planting brickweed, if you find something you like, make F2. Is statistically probable that you will find better plants that the parental you use.
Maybe, if you get lucky, you may get a nice batch of a traditional mexican sativa, and that is quite hard to beat.

Yup, go for it. A friend of mine gifted me some bricked,
lightly seeded. He said it was ok, cheap pot.

I grew some out, gave him a few grams a few months later.
Told me it was some of the best ever, and where could he get
some more.

It's in there, grow it and see for yourself.

My first grow, I used some seeds from some light green, lemon tasting brick weed. Every plant was a different pheno, one was like lemonhead candies, was frosty, potent, and finished in about 9 weeks.

The rest we tall lanky sativas that finished in under 11 weeks. I say look through 10 or 20 seeds, might find a keeper if lucky?

i dont have any experience growing shwag/bag seed but i have seen many different kinds while visiting mexico. Some very good to not so greatThere could be hidden gems in there

I have seen this very topic beaten to death over and over.

A lot of the Mexican coming across the border now is the same stuff we are buying for ourselves. The difference is the way it was grown and primarily the way it was abused after it was grown. Once you smash all the trichomes into the weed it starts to degrade. The longer it stays smashed the worse it gets. The stuff is packed into tires, gas tanks, swam across the Rio Grande, you name it. Brick weed is good weed that has been abused.

People keep talking about genetics... If the weed gets you lit it's offspring will get you lit. The only difference will be that properly grown and handled weed will be fresher and better tasting, and probably get you higher because it hasn't degraded some place for some long length of time.

Most of the weed in Mexico is hybrid now. You should be able to control it. There is still some landrace making it's way up here but that is being thinned out every season. You should be reasonably sure in this day in age to grow it in a canopy that you can control. If you get a lanky sativa leaning thing and liked the smoke to begin with you may have something really worth keeping. Something nobody else has. I think the odds of getting a pure sativa is getting slimmer and slimmer every season. The Mexicans are business men. They want the same things everyone else wants.

Don't listen to all the negative Nacies and just grow them and SEE what you have.I for one will not spend a dime on seeds.I've grown BOGs SB4,Whitelable bubblegum,Lonstars, the lists is long and all were FREE. The best I have ever had and the friends I gave it to says it was the strongest they had ever smoke and guess what IT WAS BAG SEED out of a ten pound bale of mixed weed. All sizes of buds, tastes.

you will never know it till you GROW!
