Bowman had just as much contact if not more with Roddy White (conference championship) as Jimmy Smith had on Crabtree in the Super Bowl.
Bottom line, if you are an NFL head coach do not expect the refs to win you a game in the playoffs. Even on the subsequent Ravens safety, Ravens players were pulling down Niner's players in the end zone yet the refs didnt call a safety until the punter stepped out of bounds.
Does it suck? If you're a fan of the team on the wrong end of the call, yes, yes it does.
But lets not pretend Jim and Greg Roman didnt have some questionable playcalling down in the red zone, either. They can pile up yards in a hurry but down near the end zone things get more clogged. Why get away from the read option and/or pistol formation those last 3 downs, when they seemed to have consistent success with it?

And maybe that's just made up media bs, cause lord knows he's done nothing to distinguish himself, being a practice squad qb on the super bowl champs, but maybe he's a diamond in a turd once he's reunited with Kelly. And the existing eagles personnel would fit kelly's offense well, fast and quick and able to take advantage of the whole field.
Does kelly use any of that pistol formation that the Niners use with Kaepernick and Gore?

I gotta disagree with this one.........I'm a Steeler fan who picked the Ravens to win in the canna venture s.b. contest....It was a pretty blatant hold and 2 ref's were right there....If it were me or anyone else with a competitive spirit I or they would also be pissed beyond belief....I salute the Ravens thyey did just enough and recieved just enough help at the right time to be the champs,And Jim did it fair and square and would have been gracious if they had been beaten not robbed.Bellicheat is not concerned with being fair or having integrity,or being gracious...he's just a shit person plain and simple one would be hard pressed to say that either jon or jim were not good people and good coaches.......

Might explain the sour grapes I can't swear that I wouldn't cast dignity, decency and fair play to the side if Pittsburgh or even NE had won the Super Bowl but hope I hope not. That's really the worst "salute" I've ever seen. Just enough to win is still a win. Probably would have been a blowout without the unscheduled nap time.

The event that you're focusing on was a 70% Ravens hold and a 30% 49ers hold. It went back and forth like that all day. Some were even more blatant both ways. It may be soothing to think that's what determined the outcome but there were mistakes on both sides - with the majority being made by SF players and coaches. The idea that a team could be completely incompetent for a full half and leave people believing that they lost because of a single non-call, consistent with the way the entire game had been officiated, is bizarre. The game is over, the outcome decided. Sincere congratulations are the only appropriate response. Anything else is bad sportsmanship and crybabyism, by definition. I don't even understand why there's an argument about it.

well that's a little better wording but I think your judgement is a bit too strong considering that the whole world saw and agrees that it shoulda been called....regaurdless of any and all prievious calls and non calls it's not so much CRYING as it is the way it is....see at certain points in a game some mistakes are made and tolerated and excusable but at other times like with 1 min left on the clock in the 4th quater on 4th down and goal that certainly do for all intensive purposes decide the game,well,those mistakes are not excusable.....there is a difference.thats what Im saying...and because I'm a Steeler fan, who basicly own the afc north and are currently the only team in history to have 6 count um' 6 lombardi's I was pulling for the Ravens and have no sour grapes......Hell man even at our worst we seem to at least split the 2 games with them....I've come to respect and fear playing them and was not upset mearly objective they are like the steelers little brother was good to see um represent and get it done.......so congrats to them.......but I wouldn't be as cold to say that 9er fans are crybabys and that their coach is as bad a sportsman as Bellidick.......because face it with 4 more downs it's a preety much lock that S.F. win's bro........it was a shit call or no call and it's the kind that will be talked about long after everybody forgets that the superdome lost power for 34 minutes,to suggest that S.F had something to do with that is well, silly and worthy of a tin foil hat.......also, it's well documented that the 9ers are a better 2nd half team and the Ravens are a better 1st 1/2 team......thats why there are 2 half's 60 full min.......not the 1st 30 or 2nd 30.....the fact to me is any Ravens fan who is gloating and acting all jacked is a ass because they choaked up a 22 point lead and woulda,shoulda,coulda lost the game if the right call had not been ignored.........so basicly who are you to call anyone a poor sport....?

i could see dixon running that offense. hate to think of it, but i think tebow is another top candidate.

the pistol set is one of the components of the blur offense that kelly ran at oregon. but when he was recently asked if he was going to run the pistol in philly, he said something along the lines of you'd need to ask chris ault that one, that he doesn't even know what the pistol is.

i was fucked up to see they picked up shermur to run the offense, but then again, cleveland did win one more game than the eagles did last year.

I'll agree that Steelers/Ravens games are probably the best/scariest for both sets of fans. It was the 2011 season results that made Baltimore realize things might be getting better.

Ah yes, the NFL Combine, otherwise known as the Underwear Olympics. So I can see which players are circumcised through their skin tight Under Armor spandex...
No thanks. Can't stomach the combine for more than 10 minutes at a time, mostly because it's boring, partly because Combine results more often than not have little bearing on how good a football player someone is, and lastly because i dont need to see some 300lb dude's man tits bouncing up and down as he runs the 40.

It got worse when Under Armor sponsored the combine, now all the players wear UA gear, which is basically spandex. Dudes running around in spandex can get pretty ugly sometimes.
But I guess if youre a coach it gives you a good idea of how in shape some of these dudes are.

So I was watching NFL network, and they had ray
lewis miced up for the superbowl. After the Jacoby Jones run back, he's on the sideline with a few players , and he's like, "I told ya, I knew it, I just had a feeling, God tell me he was gonna make it and score".


Ray lewis.. No credit for his teammates. All the credit to God. What a fucking asshole.
Yet another reason to hate the baltimore ravens.
