starting to fill in proper! i really wanted some chronic as my weight strain but i went with pot of gold instead. she's skunk#1 X hindu kush and she's supposed to yield like crazy as well. ive also got a bad ass AK mom from seed that is out of this world and yields well too.

Sandnut great looking chronic grow. I have grown out chronic on more than one occasion. With a bit more light and a longer veg time than your current grow. I found she will yield heavy with some light fruity tones to the finished product. Not the strongest smoke but very pleasant high, enough so that I grew it more than once. I have a pic if you don't mind me posting in your thread...big top colas with nice side branching like yours but with a bit more veg time given.

I didnt know Serious Seeds had a Chronic Strain... I'm gonna have to look her up later. I have the strain Fruity Chronic Juice by Delicious Seeds. I don't think she smells fruity at all though lol.

They sure do... check it out.. haha but i've heard this one does smell fruity too, even tho every plant smells different in the tent right about now, but i've seen it grown by others so I know for sure they are very high yielders with quality smoke

thanks bro. I really wanted to do slightly bigger numbers or extended veg but this grow kinda just happened as i had some other strain in mind at first. I can't wait to see how they grow out cause i've seen and heard so much good about it. Go ahead bro you are more than welcome to post , cheers

SS Chronic. The plants here had 8 weeks of veg. Lighting was 50w psf. Grown in organic soil. Peat based(premire pro-mix HP) with blood meal, bone meal, kelp meal, green sand, EWC, and dolimite lime. Feed with ACT. CO2 was used thoughout the grow at about 1200 ppm.
Temps around 85F.

I wish you the best in the coming weeks, but it looks as like you don't need luck...you have skills...K+

how much did they yield for you on average? are the buds fairly compact or airy??

and how many days of flowering did they have untill you chopped them?

I took those at 65days. Avg was 6oz per plant. I think the pic was around 50 days. Bud density was fairly tight though not rock hard.

It says the fruity chronic juice was made of a white whidow, so i dont really know.. this is more of a yielder strain though even if it has a fruity smell (when cured right)

I'm really interested in how you setup the ventilation?

- intake fan on the bottom of the tent blowing cold air in to get good air movement below the canopy
- Passive intake on top
- A fan keeping air movement on the canopy

Then i got the lights like this, Carbon filter > fan > cooltube > blowing air out of tent ( i have a fan speed controller so i can create enough suction for the Passive intake to work

This is just one of many ways of doing it, but my temps are 23-24 and the cooltube can go really close to the plants if the canopy was more even..

Update day 44 flowering (4weeks veg)

so its time for a quick update, i've been very busy but i snapped some pics just after the lights whent off to show you guys some of the progress.. pics came out kinda blurry this time sorry.. and i think i burnt them with the second run of pk13/14.. but no stunted growth.. infact the ones that got burned gained the most weight and have developed more resin.I could remove the damaged leaves but i prever to leave them on because some parts of them are still green thus containing minerals and such.. the plant will drop it naturally soon anyways..what you guys think? Oh yeah and I will chop them at 60days and give them give or take 2weeks flush with sugarwater but meanwhile i will feed them this week out with canna boost and terra flores.

do you mean that you soak them *after* cutting them, like cut flowers in general?

...also, I was operating under the idea that sugars make for harsh smoke and that
you want them to be converted before it was smoked....or does that happen in the cure?

No i mean i will flush the plants during the 2 last weeks before i chop them with sugarwater, h2o + sugar .. it helps the plants fatten the buds and in my opinion it tastes..it enhances the sweet taste i think or maybe its just a placebo.. i've been doing it everytime

UPDATE time....!

Day 50 Flowering (4weeks veg)

I just gave them their last feeding of 6ml terra flores & 6ml boost per .. i was planning to chop them at day 60 but i think i'll wait untill day 65 as i see in other chronic grows that they fatten up ALOT towards the end... the breeder says 56-63 but thats always abit optimistic/ and maybe during perfect conditions. 2weeks flush with sugarwater and i'll make sure to have good air movement in there because some of the buds are already pretty dense by the looks of it

ah yeah the camera is pretty basic so they pics really dont do them no justice, i'll take some with lights off in a couple of days so you can really see the buds more clearly..

some of the top colas look as if they will be 35cm+ when harvested

So.... I thought it would be a good ending to this thread to re-appear out of nowhere to finish it off with some harvest pictures.

Overall im very pleased with this strain, its amazing in everyway.
Its a really heavy yielder and the smoke is out of this world.

11 female SS Chronic were harvested at day 67 flowering (4weeks veg)

Total Yield: 430g, that's an average of 39g per plant.

0,71 Gram per watt

You could easely hit +1gpw with this strain by vegging it longer/ using clones from the heaviest yielding pheno or by simply doing a FULL SOG in a tent, i had space for a total of 36POTS but only went with 11, something that really affected the overall yield.

This strain is amazing in so many ways, after drying it for 10days and curing for 3weeks the smell was potent, smells of pine, fruits and diesel were reeking out of the buds and a heavy thricome layer covering the buds. The high was amazing, a head & body high that started out with a headbuzz and moved over to a fullbody high. The tolerance buildup was very low, and i hold this strain at #2 best bud that i've ever smoked, only after SSH.

There might be some duplets in these pics but anyway enjoy!!
