it's a great cut. i've grown her out a few times on a very small scale. this will be my first production run. i'm 0/30 on rooting this bitch though. meanwhile, 19/20 of the other strains in the same tray have made it. this is 3 weeks in. jiffys, clonex, that's it.

anyone else run up against it?
what did you do about it?

Are the jiffys in a clear plastic dome?
Whats the temps?
Are the leaves turning yellow?

She is very slow. You should see roots very soon though. If it were me I'd tear a couple rooters apart and see what the stem is doing and if there are any (bumps or) roots protruding and make a decision from there. Hopefully you have more cuts available should these not take. Best of luck!

I root in a week tops with most cuts, OG's, 91chem 8-14 days...

ChemD is a fast rooter imo.. Ive found personally that grow tips that see light make the best cuts for rooting.. I believe the lower shoots having more rooting potential to be a farce. Ive not lost a clone in I dont know how long.. Rooting powder, and a tupperware container, never fails.. And we keep the cuts in the fridge for weeks on end..

the only 2 places i know where you get roots in a week are in a cloner and on the internet :p

sure the leaves have begun to yellow.
we're on day 25 now sans nutes.

the other 20 cuts in the tray took.
the last 100 trays i've done all took at +90% also.
i don't think it's a general technique or environmental issue.
was just wondering if maybe there was a trick to the chem.
i know now where the adub gets its tough-to-start genes.

ezcloner roots in 7 days.

gave up on the cloner years ago. cuts were damping off more often than not. i know a lot of folks swear by them though. never figured what it was. may try another and run pool shock through it.

Roots in a week is entry level grower shit bro...

And we call them "EZKillerz" not cloners..

I use powder, coco/peat pucks and a plastic bin all from home depot, and I kill, read up bro, it isnt magic..

Now you know of 3 places..

hey man, i'm not picking a fight here. and i have read up on it. not saying you're not doing it. all i'm saying is that the cats who claim most of their cuts root in 7 days tend to be the same ones who regularly say they pull 3 units a light too.

i've gotten hairs in 10 days with some strains. maybe even 9. isolated cuts in 7 sometimes. that's immaterial though.

you're absolutely right. there's no magic to any of this. it's all just science. tell me about your technique. this bin—is it a nursery flat or something else? how wet are the pucks? are you scraping your stems? halving your leaves? one set or two? dome or no? i'm curious to see if your results can be duplicated. if you can tell me something to cut my prop time considerably, i'm only too happy to thank you and admit i was mistaken.

A clones survivability hinges on a few things, certain criteria that need be met before the plant can divert its scarce resources to pushing out new roots...

These criteria are:
1. 80-90% RH (minimum for first 2-3days) No need to pull the lid on your clones, you will kill the RH and they will transpire and stress.. Pull the lid off one time, when its coming off for good..
2. 80F, on the warm side, but remember, the clones wont transpire if the humidity is high like it should be..
3. Low level lighting, this is important, Clones need VERY little light, to much will stress them, they cannot photosynthesize at the rates that come with higher power lighting..

Whether gels or powder, fancy cloner or peat pucks, it isnt the way you clone, its the environment you clone in, and a little indolbutyric acid.....

3lbs?? We are shooting for 4... Swing by the vert thread if you wanna see how.. I just did 1.8gpw with ChemD.... Thats almost 2.5lbs, with a 600w....

Here is a pic of what my clones typically look like in a plastic bin.

Not to be a dick or argumentative, BUT..... I dont believe you got 40 oz's of bud under 1-600w lamp.
Either Im doing something horribly wrong, or your doing something horribly right. I only get around 12ozs of bud per 600w HPS lamp using clones with 4 - 5 weeks veg time and grown in FFOF soil in 3g pots, 9 plants under each light.
I even have the environment dialed in to perfect temps and humidity day and night through computer control.
WTF am I not doing? OR....WTF are you doing?

Thats because you dont understand how I did it. Head over to the vert section and enlighten yourself, really study the philosophy and see who the key players are in the vert game..

I used to argue with statements like yours, now I laugh.. We are on some next level shit bro, get involved..

I can see that JBonez.
Wow! I read through your entire vert thread. I wish I could get a yield like that.
Maybe this time with 90 plants under 2-600whps lamps in a sog will do it for me.
I really need to get #'s like that. I cant imagine getting like 80oz's from 1200w's.
Im used to only getting like 20 oz's from my 2-600's.
Nice plants by the way.
