Oh, that was the Question.
Yes, I now grow my own. The prices charged for weed on the open market as well as the Dispensaries, is obscene.

So I'm now developing my own seed bank and growing my own.

I figure my cost is about a $100 a pound total. And I'm estimating somewhat on the High side. Pun Intended.

Welcome to Colorado. Hehe
Now where did I set that Bong?

I live on a fixed income. So if I don't grow my own then I do without. I have always been the type of person if I'm gonna do something I'm gonna do it to the best of my ability.

I am currently a buyer, but preparing to grow again.

I buy for various reasons:

1. I travel a lot for work and pleasure. Recently I have taken a job as an employee (I use to be self employed) and as a result I do not travel near as much. However, I am going to Hawaii next month and I will be there a week. In that much time anything can happen... from plants dying to a fire. When I come back I am going to get a license from Washington State and start to grow. I am looking at a couple sativa leaning strains like Blue Dream and a full sativa called Colombian Mango Biche

2. The other reason is Variety. When I have grown in the past I have gotten tired of my strains.

3. Growing takes a lot of dedication. Although I love to grow, you have to be on top of it to get better stuff than I get in the dispensaries. I can afford to pay dispensary prices for the amount I smoke, so I do not have any real complaints. I can buy a small amount from a dispensary and if I don't like it no big deal. I will leave it out and when someone wants to smoke it they can. I usually have a lot of company and getting rid of weed is no problem. I bought some hash I didn't care that much for so this weekend I will just fill the pipe with it when it is my turn.

The downside of buying is that I never seem to have enough hash. I hate spending $20 a gram for it and if I grew my own I would have plenty. I would probably even make hash from buds because I prefer hash to bud usually.

The other downside is the health aspects of buying strange weed. So far the dispensaries in Seattle have not really let me down that way. I have gotten much more suspicious weed from friends then I have there. I spend about $10 a gram for weed at the dispensaries.

I am glad there are a lot of growers now days. It makes it a lot easier for me to make sure I have it, good quality is available and a decent price as well. I remember a time when the only way I could guarantee I had good weed was to grow it myself, but those days seem to be over, at least on the west coast.

Lots of good points here. I picked option three only cause both buy and grow wasn't listed.

Even if I had the space to grow I would probably still buy.. there is so much great herb and hash going around in cali . And I love variety so why not ?

i buy, grow, smoke, & eat it too. i would lie down in it & root like a wild hog if i could grow enough, just for the fun of rubbing the hash off of me & smoking it.:woohoo:
