Hey guys im going to be starting my frist grow hopefully in a while, just waiting to get my caregivers card. I been doing a lot of research on growing and I wanted to get people in put on fertilizer. What Is a good quality brand to go with. would like to go organic sense these grows will be used for medicine. But also don't want to buy the a super over priced brand if there is no need to. So Really looking for the Best bang for my buck that I can get in quality.

Pure blend pro, you can do a whole grow with just veg and bloom, then when you get things down you can start using additives.

Pure Blend Pro is easy to use, but I would start with the additives also. Keep in mind that their CalMag is not organic. you can substitute something else like SaferGro Biomin Ca, and Earth Juice Microblast. Good luck. -granger

Consider making your own, enough recipes here on IC

True but this guys got money he wants to spend. He's a hydro stores dream! LOL!

Seriously though Pure Blend Pro would be a great choice. Pure Blend Pro bloom is as simple as it gets.

Want to go organic? Check out the Organic Soil Sub-forum!

its excellent! 100% living and re-usable! just find the mix that suits your needs! seriously, for my soil mix, i just buy ammendments like bone meal, guano, kelp meal, and blood meal.

that method is basically water only, and delivers the best product for your buck, and its obviously reaps its benefits in money saved and helping to keep Mother Nature happy on your part.

Organic, Living soil is the way to go!

1 bale pro mix Bx (3.8 cu ft compressed)
2 bags ffof (1.5 cu ft)
1 bag EWC (25 lbs)
10 gal aeration amendment (chunky perlite, lava rock, permatill, etc)

2 cup Fish Bone Meal (or bone meal or high P guano)
2 cup high N Guano (or blood meal)
2 cup Kelp meal
2 cup dolomite lime

Here is a real simple "local store" mix that you can just add water on - fully organic - will make roughly 60 gallons of medium. Mix all that together (or in half batches), get it slightly moist, allow it to sit for a month, then you will be good to go.

Fwiw - I used Botanicare line of products when I first started growing and did so for a couple of years - before making the change to REAL organics ie - true living organic soil - and I never looked back. I feel if organic is your concern, then you might as well start with the fullness of knowledge that you will be able to produce better medicine ditching the bottles on the shelf thought process...

If you really want to dive in head first and take knowledge by the horns - read these threads here:

I've used PBP, it's not organic and it's a PITA for me. I've used GH, again, not organic. I've also used the product line from Blue Mountain Organics, and it couldn't be easier, if easy bottled is what you want. The rest of it takes some learning (how to cultivate and maintain soil food web & methods).

Go to eBay, look up Blue Mountain Organics, and if you're of a mind try their products. VERY reasonably priced, and made by freshly squeezed hippies.

Id go with amended soil first couple of rounds and then peal back the ammends and dial it in with Earth Juice. I yielded pretty well when I used PBP but the quality, taste, and high is unmatched by organic methods.

yah someone else told me about blue mountain organics before and I looked them up on ebay there prices are good with the 4 combo pack. Im considering giving them a try ..

But I do like the idea of buying the powder nutrients and making my own feed. But with making my own feed Im thinking I might wait a couple grows and get that down before trying to learn something else.

But to everybody thanks for all your input , its helped give me a good idea of were to start with
