Hey Carl, nice plants.... I had a great experience with the Fafard 3B mix recently. I added bloodmeal and bonemeal and used plain water, with five or six guano tea feedings interspersed and the plants were happy the entire run. edit: These three plants were outdoors, I should add. The mix seems not to compact over the course of the grow, but stays nice and spongy. The plants do very well with the added aeration, I suppose.

Yeah, I'm in 3 gallon pots with these outdoor plants. In my area near the equator, they flower immediately year round, so I get away with smaller pots. I like that the 3B has good water retention- a nice thing considering I didn't have to water every day, which was safer. I have to add, too, that I have eight 7-foot tomato plants outside growing in it and they are just massive and covered in fruit. Can't wait to see how your plants do in it. Take care.

So... you still have good feelings about it? I'll admit that without your prompting, I haven't been very good about following it's use 'elsewhere'...

I mentioned--it seems like ages ago, but was probably like a month and a half--that I'm game to give it a run. I finally got on board with Jacks, and that's been super easy.

I'm glad they're working out... The OC+ isn't 'organic', it is?

Looking good, Carl. Just wondered what medium you use in that cloner. I've wondered how well the wick style works for cloning. It seems like it would be too moist for cuttings, but I know they do work well for people.

Nice...it sure seems like a reliable, hands-off system. The turface sounds like useful stuff....good information there.
