Nice work hodowca, but I think your strain just happens to have the same name. Stunning shots none the less....

M.O.B. is a stellar out door plant as well. Finishes fist week in Sept, has trich cover like indoor and stays pretty low and squat but can still yeild. Also you'll be tasting the flavor for a while after you smoke it, killer berry flavor.

Ive grown it... its a staple with the indoor and outdoor growers I know.

M.O.B. - mostly refered to here (Maine) as Mother of Bud, Mother of Berry.

Its got a wild berry/slightly tart/shunky smell and flavor. Cool temps result in some calyx coloration ranging from pink to purple.
Pretty and tasty but really not exceptionally potent. I let it go, but it can easily be sourced again should I want it.

Ive got a pm or post around here somewhere from a member who took it to MI? with him. If I can find it, Ill post it.

It's extremely potent, and smells similar to BubbaKush. I've only inhaled. I haven't seen the plant in person or in flower. But my buddy tells me that the weight she produces is better than average for a "kush". Good herb!!

Ok well as I understand it, the MOB was the original afghani used in the production of the famous blueberry, whether or not it was the mother or father though is some speculation, however due to the investigating I have done, and due to her taste, smell, and stature I believe her to be the actual mother variety. (I highly doubt that - goes to show how little is known about her) The other interesting thing I have seen is what appeared to be two different phenotypes, although the finished meds were very, very similar. I have speculated that this appearance, was do to this being from a different grower. Well that being said onto the lady herself, stature wise she is definitely afi dominate meaning medium height with maybe a 2x stretch at flowering, height itself can be altered as you know by veg period. Deep green broad leafed plants, although not the broadest I've seen. Flowers can range from completely green to totally purple depending on growing conditions, under optimal conditions, meaning a constant day and night temp of 74-79 degrees farenheit, she will form large, thick, medium green tops with many accents of purple and pink calyxs. She almost always grows a dominant terminal bud, even when pruned to do otherwise. One branch will tend to take over. (Maybe a different pheno - from my experience, she grows tops out pretty evenly) Maturity can be accomplished in approximately 56 days, although I have seen her taken down as early as 45, she shines at 56 though. Outdoors she is done in late august, perfect for the nor east, down before the fall rains. Strong berry and skunky almost incence, possibly lavender like, undertones. Full fruity or berry taste. As far as I know I am the first person to have her laboratory tested, and although the sample tested was not from the terminal bud it still tested at 16%, which is admirable for a pure indica, and I believe this percentage could be higher if I was to supply a better sample, timing was kind of weird. But to put in perspective the BoggleGum that won the San Fran. cup for indica last year tested at just over 15%, members of my fam have grown the 2 side by side MOB and BogGum and everyone prefers to grow the MOB. Is that the MOB Boss? If so, we're talking about two different things.

Side note: I have found it called NE Blue Hashplant as well... but it was total speculation.

MOB really shines in the outdoors. There are more mold resistant varieties for outdoor, but she is done first week in Sept. Also it's just a tough plant. Its a very photo sensitive cut so IME she performs better being put out as a small plant into a hole with good leg room. This makes em go more vegetative and put on growth; if you throw out a 2ft plant in a 2 gallon container, it might still grow well but will be confused and throw calyxs all over an not have the vigor. Trim underneath and feeding well will encourage dense colas, other wise she will fox tail and the buds will have a more flat running thing gong on. Either way the resin cover is great, shes sticky. Never gets big but can do a qp easy enough.

All my outdoor gear gets put inground or in swamp tubes so plenty of space to spread their legs

I know someone who had quite a few of them outdoors last year and they did really well. There was a small bit of mold on them because we got early cold/wet weather.

He said its all he is going to put out this year - if that tells you anything.

I'm in southern NE .... I just don't know anyone w it .... A buddy of mine on here knows a couple people who had it so it's not IF we get her it WHEN.
I've heard nothing but good things about her so I figure why not get her for those breeding qualities and get a great outdoor strain in seed form ... Got a few ideas ... Killer crosses .... Gonna use some sativa dom hybrids for the pollen ... Do some IX and BX and repeat each season for some massive sticky sweet buds finished in September with great pest and mold resistance.

I live in New England and have had this strain many times. Its known as just blueberry or blueberry kush in Rhode Island. Almost everyone has this cut. The plant grows basically on it's own. The best structure looking plant for sure with big blueberry smelling buds with hints of pink underneath. Definitely an all around winner.

Wow. Just stumbled upon this thread and I'm glad I did. My mob' s came from Maine but they grew huge colas like those. Only thing is the overall plant size on mine were way smaller. The structure of that maroc mom's was exactly the same.

I mean the taste of berry is there but there's a unique taste I can't exactly describe and it did have hints of orange skunk. Hodowca I would be so very grateful if you could get some of those seeds to me somehow

I agree. Theres some blue flavor but I think its more mixed wild berries, tart skunkiness.

I know of 2 phenos, seen them grown side by side. Theres the 1 with pink calyx undersides and 1 that purples without losing all the green.

Ha, never new wildgrow quoted me in this thread. Yeah i confirmed with dj himself it isnt the actual mother of blueberry. Never made sense anyways as the mother of blueberry was actually oregon purple thai. But he really liked her! My second thought is that she was a mother plant used by someone else too make blueberry seeds. We have many times! There was no information at all regarding this variety at the time i aquired it in '08. The topping thing was mostly about time. If i topped her and wanted a bush it would usually just take alot longer, and wouldnt really make up for it in the end. Since then we have had tests as high as just under 19%. Again not insane high. But it does not matter with this variety!
