Great looking plants this run RIL. How's it set-up? Have you both sides running in flower at the same time?

When using any nutrient line on the market growing in coco I can't keep my plants green plants, Canna I think is the best.

I started to supplement coco feed with raw nitrate from the agriculture department diluted down to suit the individual plants.

The CEC of coco allows more uptake of nitrogen than any other major nutrient, but first coco needs to hold on to a great deal of nutrient salts before releasing any from the substrate to the plants roots, there is much information about coco dating from Victorian times, they didn't think that the compost-ability of it was much good as the amount of coir you put in to an area decreases the ERGS of the soil type and reduces the OM.

Fundamentally coco is crap for growing sustainably as N:p:K is a failed system RIL.

I have better results using 50-50 coco/Sphagnum Moss Peat and the plants grow better into the final weeks in my opinion with more nitrogen to feed the uptake of potassium late in flower.

Coco is Great to grow cannabis on RIL its the simple Baby shit fool proof formulas that ruin crops.
Its just an aggressive annual weed and some plants like salinity and some don't.

The grass can always be greener mate.

there allways green for me but I have struggled with h&g nutes seems quite incomplete and need to add all there stuff to make a complete nutrient

I've used canna before and had good results with it my problem is flushing in coco can't quite seem to get it burning white no matter how long I flush another reason why I'm gunna get an osmosis system

love the crosses man they look very shnaps dominant to me which is by no means a bad thing. definatly looks like they will have the yield..

coco imo is easiest thing to grow in. the only time i get yellowing is when ive grown my own ao cuts the first time. but tbh if you feed a grow base for about the first week or two i avoid that. so i presumed its just lack of nitrogen or the wrong ratio.
canna ive found are good. ive not flowered with their nutes though so im not sure about flushing them, i use it in veg, seems pretty good for that.

cheers sifted #1 looks like it could yield more than the schnapps but #2 is behind the rest in bud production but shes making up for it elsewhere

edited a post above there deffo 5wk 2days lol

i know they look alot more further on but ive double checked they were flowered on the 7/12/2012

is it due to buddahs tree ?

i thought they looked alot further on aswell hence why i started looking for answers and i found that high excess amounts of k have an affect on nitrogen calcium and magnesium hence the yellow look and slight calcium deficency

whilst researching stumbled upon this

A COMMON MISTAKE THAT CAN HURT YIELDS
A common practice is to add a Phosphorus and Potassium (P/K) booster during all or most of the
bloom phase. This can create significant problems with nutrient uptake that decrease yield and quality.
Most plants only need small amounts of Potassium during growth and early bloom. Potassium is mostly
needed during the ripening and maturation stages (late bloom).
Excess of unused Potassium in the growing medium can ‘push’ away Nitrogen, Calcium, and Magnesium. These are some of the most common deficiencies. Growers can avoid these issues by respecting
the natural laws and providing the right balance of nutrients at the proper development stage

well put it this way, i use base flowering nutes and run big bud the whole way through which is a pk booster and then on top of that i add shooting powder byt house and garden from week 5 till flush. so i use alot of pk boosters considering. and i rarely get yellowing off.

do you add cal mag to your feeds at all in coco? i use canna proffesional coco and i normally use it straight from the bag, and add more calmag at the begining, and then taper down to nothing about half way through flowering.
i used to pre ''charge'' the coco and rise it but dont bother now

no but next run I am for sure

was told to back off it half way through flower as it can make your crop taste shitty and burn crap

using bigger pots next run as I'm pushing it here in these 3.5ltr pots, I've just got away with it

yeah i think its easy to underestimate the problem with cal and coco. i always add it. you never know it might solve the yellowing off.

Doesnt CANNA now say to use their pk13/14 through out the 12/12 period?

ive found canna coco feed to flush quite good mate.

Speedemon- im 99% sure i can. fancy running her for myself again now lol good yield to just need ya humidity in check late in flower.. but she sure is yummy and pretty

i like canna i might use the canna base nutes for a whole run through veg and flower. probs wont bother using all the additives though.
