Ciao rootidec!

hola companero! ;)

Hi IC,

I'm upgrading the chinese, 18cm approx fan which is chunky and doesn't blow fast enough - with an antec fan laying around, pc grade (with leds, not that you can even notice them when lights are on in the tent):

Using some iron wire, I'm copying duckhunter's setup - kudos man! seems to save some space as well, and iron wire allows for flow adjusting, good simple tech ;-)

I'm thinking about wick system with res,
so I'm trying to build one with scraps:

*wick runs for half height inside the pot with soil - still have to fill it - and is secured on the bottom of the pot (1l bottle cut in half) with a simpl knot. Wick then run down in the res (a 2l cola bottle cut above its half) and lays on the bottom for a good inch.
Wick is cotton and seem to pass on humidity, was all wet upwards in 15 min while testing.
there is a net on top whith twisty ties that keeps the two halved bottles in place, one into the other with an corridor all around it, to allow watering.
A 5-6mm straw with many holes cut in it with a needle is placed in soil, all the way to the bottom of the pot, to bring a little air
- that's again my optimistic projection.

I'm putting soil and one nice clone to see if it works, pics soon.

* * *
attaching the new fan called for a watering (today was plain water day :) and a group photo outside the tent:

I'm pretty satisfied of the group right now. Plants are going well, save the shivas with few colas (she makes tiny nugs whatever shape) and the ice+shiva with old soil, both exmoms. Also, clones put in the tent without time to recover (thus still stunted while going 12/12) flowered short, monocola, but small not like the big wappas from christmas. All situations to avoid. Nice clones supply will patch this, it's on its way.

All in all for now it looks like just untouched plants, when going 12/12 from clone, are going well. Along with the big supercropped monocolas (shorter than clone due in six weeks, but very fat!)

C ya!

Great stuff rooter.

thank you sir :tiphat:
denny it was useful today to read you and bueno about the old plant scrogging.
Thing is I've got some old plants going in, and see that your plant underwent age, repot, really cheered me up!
good job mate

here's some bud porn: wappa A, the *keeper* cured for 3 weeks - from the christmas plants:

*this is 5g, in jar, wrapped in plastic, stored when dried right outside.

Can't believe one year ago I was starting lurking here - good results come, just not for the heart fainted at start when it's all new... lol

C ya!

Lookin real good rootidec. I love the wappa. Every thread I see with that strain it just looks great! If you are looking into wick systems, check out some PPK threads. DocCrow has a great one here in the micro forum. I learned more about PPK from that thread than any other.

Happy farming!

I looked at them, but I didn't have the material on hand. I liked what I saw in some ppk threads, but mine is more a research of feeding while I'm away. After testing I'd like to do some big reservoir eventually
tnx tex :)

update, I received some bagseed (most look healthy) and 1 Critical Kush bean... ;-)

today I'm doing some misc. stuff:

roots have developed on some cuttings

with this lenght of root (3cm - 1inch+) recovery should be fast after transplant
. I'm watering with plain water and 4-5 drops ST.

* * *
I'm taking new cuttings, too, from the wappa A mom. Good occasion to transplant her, give her some fresh soil, as leaves were starting to show major defs - girl lived in 0,75l soil since sept.

tidying up:

mom after hair dressing :)

I'm showing you a Wappa clone, of the last batch: no veg, no training, at no more than 1 month flowering.
It's going quite the size I'm dreaming - big cola, and some lower growth taking advantage of the vert lamp.

Of all the shapes I tried in this 0,75-1l pots (and it's pretty much anything NOT requiring vegtime, by now...) this is my favourite, hands down.
I hope bud production won't be bothered by the pot - this size of plant I had it in the 2,5l mostly - in small pots they received at least some mild lst (1 rope) or mild defoil, BUT this one you see is illibate, lol don't know if it's even a word.

C ya!!!

Update:
I'm switching the keg's filter. PH test after change. (6.5-7.0)

Also, I don't have the microscope anymore, so I'm back relying on this 20X.
In daylight she lets you have an idea, anywhere else no dice :)

one wappa A and one shiva are now 8 weeks, slated for cut in one week+...

Hi IC!
I'm starting some bagseed.
Was given by some friend - I guess there's a good chance it's some outdoor schwag, so it's probably sativa-ish - but who knows. I'm popping 8 seeds and see what's inside.
I also have a Critical Kush seed from another friend, but I'm waiting to see if bagseed pop.

Bagseed closeup:

*they look nice, mostly. Don't have idea about age/storage conditions, they came in alu foil and plastic bag.

Also, I cut the Shiva two days short of 9 weeks.
She looked ready under the loupe.

To me she looks like 8-10g approx. - like the monocolas, or just short of them.
This one, as Wappa coming down in days, was simply topped while already on 12/12, not the best imho.
EDIT: she flushed for two weeks, but still too dammit green imho T_T

Three pots are about to enter. Still need some training:

*water pot experiment is not going too well instead - clone is not recovering, instead is pale with lower growth slowly getting dry/yellow tips/leaves.

C ya!

EDIT: I haven't put plants in quite a while.
this wappa A is entering now; she is just being supercropped one inch from the soil, or less, and since she has been planted by a side of the pot, I've bent her the other way so that she's contained without exiting the pot, taking less space.
*was 5" long before training. I usually flower clones in smaller pots, and when they're 2", she would have be gone through the roof without this.
