what steered ya away from them....i was thinkin of gettin one for veg since there cheaper, but im stickin with Advanced for flowering.

Noise, light spread, crappy wiring inside.

For veg they are perfectly fine though but I would get a more all blue spectrum LED for vegging.

Why in the world would you buy another if you already bought one  (just kiddin')

I sold it after last grow. I'm using a Lumigrow ES330 now.

That was a gen 2 panel right oneshot? I saw your buds looked nice despite your hermie issues. The buds didn't look loose and stringy. How would u rate them? Have you used hps? Or did u start on LEDs?

Sorry for repost, I can't edit?

What angle lens were you using while unhappy with light spread? Was it too much or too little area?

I used this panel:
http://www.eshinesystems.com/grow/3g-126x3w-led-grow-light.html

Was a 3G panel.

Oh trust me, they produced rock hard dense nugs. Any LED will do that. I have yet to see any LED produce stringy airy buds. That is CFL shit :)

I have never used HPS. I am new school kind of guy and I know LEDs are coming up fierce. Get in before :) They are not bad lights for the money at all. If you are just starting out with LEDs and don't want to make the commitment, I think they are the best chinese lights. AdvancedLEDs are similar but they are good as well. You just pay a premium because of the middle man.

LOL, did you read their description for 3rd generation ?

The Third Generation of E.shine LED Grow Light
Nowadays, LED grow lights are more and more popular for plants growing than high-pressure sodium (HPS) and metal halide (MH) lamps in environment protection and energy saving. Do you know the Earth is melting by the heat discharged every day? LED grow lights produce much less heat than HPS/MH lamps, no need cooling systems, no heat discharge to living space. Save your money also protect your weather.
Red and blue light produced by LED grow lights are all useful, and can be all obsorbed by plants for photosynthesis. No waste and no harmful light for plants. LED grow lights do not contain mercury or other harmful heavy mental.
Do you know energy is limited and will be used up some day? LED grow lights are saving 60-80% energy compared to HPS/MH lamps. Keeping using LED grow lights 5-7 years in its lifespan, see how much energy you will have saved for the world, and also the money saved on electricity bill and maintain cost.

How much weed should we grow and smoke to melt down to extinction this beautiful planet ? :joint:

Hey, this isn't a eshine but how are the spectrums and ratios.
Would they be good for both flower and veg? What would be neg. about them?
What cfl temp bulbs would you supplement with and why?

There is a link in my post history to pricing on these lights if thats a factor, they are cheap even with shipping from china. Also they are being tested by a member here(for groblue) and shared on youtube......but different spectrums/ratios.

Here is a email i received with the spectrums:

The 210w with advaned color ratio is with following specification:
Power:210w
LED Qty: 120x3w(6 modular)
Casing color: blue
Color ratio: 660nm:470nm:640nm:440nm:740:460nm(Cree):630nm(Cree)=4:2:2:2:2:1:7

Here is the eshine's specs from their site for the ES-126x3W-3GP:

Power 126x3W
440/470/525/640/660/740nm
LED angle 90 degree
LED Color Red & Blue, Custom design
High Power LED 1W, 2W, 3W

They also list optional spectrums of:
Violet, Bule, Orange, Red, IR LED Spectums

Thanks, and i know there is a search but this is a lot to take in. I have a clue from reading into lighting but not like the knowledge tank here.

I am all but set on the 150x3w eshine 3G units. Ill be using 60 optics on reds and blues, all other wavelengths will be 90 for a bit more spread on the less populous colors

Ill be running two in a fairly small area, for best coverage and height adjustability. They claim 3x3 flowering area and I will be using two in a highly reflective Mylar 3x5 room.

I can't wait to get them, and see what they can do. If I'm not happy, it's not like they wouldn't work well as supplemental lights... It's a lot of cash, but I've spent way more on other hobbies before.

Ill be logging the grow, so hopefully everybody who's lookin at eshine will have another grow to look at.

I think the bashin is getting fewer and far between lol but its still there.

I still have my quantum ballasts though so I still have my hps roots damn it lol.

Better off getting the California Lightworks 400 watt

first, to medmaker420, do you run leds and hid ? or do you veg in HID and flower in led? I am very interested in how you and oneshot do things...

Oneshot, I dont see anything in these lights that are screaming out to me that they are superior. im pretty ignorant about it, but i am now reading into them quite a bit more. Thanks for the help

check out my grow log. lost a seedling today, and my thumbs got blacker!

5w chips. Much better design and build. Better warranty. UVB tubes.

2tone2g

yes, but with only 80x 5w chips, I would think 300x 3w chips might out do it in terms of light output. I cant seem to find any information on what wattage the leds are actually driven at either. Id need to know that for sure. if we are talking about 160-200watts actual draw, id bet money the 2 eshine would out-do it. and with one 36" t5 uvb bulb id have the uvb matched as well.

as for build quality, they do look to be built like tanks. but if eshines led's are what they say they are, id be willing to open up the panels to replace power supplies and redo cheap wiring. I have the experience with electronics to dianose and repair DC circuits.

cali light works appears to be about $3 per actual watt, where eshine is around $1 per actual watt.

I want to keep discussing this, even though I will not be making a purcahse anytime soon. i took down my whole garden last night and destroyed all my babies. made me sick, but im moving, and it would have been harder just 4 weeks from finishing.

do you know what types of chips they use? i may have missed it on their site, but it appers they are pretty vague about the specs of their product...

is this what your using now? i know u had that one eshine panel, and if you can see that its clearly a better panel, i might be inclined to just take someones word for it... you dont work for them do you haha?

about the UVB tube, its something that interested me quite a bit. but the concensus seems to be that they are best used in the final 4 weeks of flowering. Its my opinion that for the other 10-14 weeks they are just there, and not needed as built in on the primary light. I could run a 36" t5 uvb fixture down the center of the two eshine units during the final 4.

because im so wrong its pointless in telling me why??

I dont understand why you arent willing to discuss with me in further detail. thanks anway.

because you accused me of working for an LED company and don't listen to advice.

If you can't see why the CLW lights are better than those eShine pizza box lights, then ok. There is plenty of data here to support info you are asking for.

Why run 2 sub par fixtures for more than the price of 1 quality fixture that is made in the USA? Good luck with your grow though.

eShine are complete liars btw.
