Nationwide flu outbreak?

Please stop coming to get your flu shots.

Makes my job a lot more demanding at the pharmacy.

Feel free to fight the flu all ya want.

I get the flu inhalation mist yearly, never had it. Never had an ill effect from the thing either.

This comes from someone who took 4 years of pharmacology courses at a top 10 pharmaceutical university in the US. Not sure what your formal background is, but I've taken many microbiology and physiology courses. Even classes specifically about the humoral response. I think it is pretty commonly accepted that the vaccine is more helpful then not.

But seriously, the flu shot is totally worth it. Depending on your insurance, it could very well be free.

sorry i missed your post,, ive got about 15 years of basically non stop biological research behind me with a couple biological degrees in there,, you learn some stuff in institutions but still not very much.. i do also have practical experience that most biologists do not have and have seen things that many never will as well as a better understanding of the history of the last 3000 years which helps more than you would think..

i'm in no way saying i'm infallible just a biologist through and through,, biological systems i love em.. its also my hobby and crucially i guess my passion in life..

there is actually alot of bullshit still hanging around being taught to students today so there is a spectrum within this field of knowledge large enough to allow for those that treat the root and those that treat the end result hoping to cure the cause to coexist and both be right within reason however it becomes philosophical,, which is just because of how one sided the mainstream "science" approach has become and taken the minds of most of the most talented people for too many generations with bullshit curricula..

what they teach in universities can and does change year on year due to the favourite studies of that time, but the truth obviously doesn't change..

i believe my way people would live longer and to a better standard and that the current methods employed are knee jerk and that of a "caveman" as i keep calling it..

take cancer for example where we still pump radiation into people hoping it will kill the cancer before the person or a multitude of invasive surgical procedures that cause life threatening trauma that have been cured with herbs for millennia that we now clearly know have the active chemicals we need,, its not "alternative medicine" like people "love" (are brainwashed) to call it, all the medicine the agripharma nazi corporations refine come from or were originally found in plants, but they refine the one thing out of thousands and prescribe that, its just another example of caveman thinking.. plants contain bifunctional compounds which balance the system pharamceuticals just correct one side of the equation so have to be taken more often than not either for life or until the persons system rebalances itself..

caveman1: "ghh me have lump"

caveman2: "ok me get knife and cut"

and guess what? the lump come back..

caveman1: "ghh me have lump again"

caveman2: "ok me get radiation you drink"

caveman1 dies but the system goes on..

they are trying to do exactly that and refine out one thing that can be patented for the "beautiful beautiful money myesss" (rubs hands) with cannabis but again we know it is the multitude of chemicals within it that have curative properties and if you refine them out it doesnt work..

its all caveman shit (not spaceman like we like to think) compared to the science that is our birth right lost in this ignorance of pills and white suits with scewed trials forced through to hide the underlying health deterioration..

essentially you should feel a bit guilty for all the liver damage that garbage has caused.. cure them now but kill them later, thats the plan thesedays but you shouldnt blame yourself for that poisonous ignorant system..

I don't know man.....

I don't know man.....

Well I know for a fact, when me or anyone in my family passes out, gets extremely sick, has an injury, etc... I'll be going to the local ER or family doctor to get what is best done.

Feel free to go to the closest shaman, Indian healer, prey?, etc... Maybe even find out what the doctors suggest, and go out to the amazon and pick the herbs yourself.

Good luck refining some of the modern day medicines. I mean if you don't know what stereo-specificity is, don't even bother. In some cases only specific isomers of a compound are active in the way you desire. *If you never heard of such a thing, look up stereo-specificity and birth control*

I mean preaching to people online is good and all, but I wonder where you really go when you have a real problem? Start reading up about what natural ways you can go about saving yourself? NOT LIKELY.

I'm surprised to see that so many people say that they got the flu from the flu shot. Either some of you don't know what the flue is, or your straight up lieing hehe. It's been documented that a fraction of 1% that get the shot actually get flu like symptoms from it. You can feel drained for a couple days, or have a bit of a stinging/burning sensation in the arm, but rarely, very rarely actually get a fever, diarrhea, etc...

Carry around some hand sanitizer if you can!

Hempyftw - Are you saying that getting the flu "is a real problem?" Or are you changing the subject to cancer and implying that the same people that wont get flu shots are the same people that treat cancer with shamans? A bit of a stretch IMO. BTW, it's spelled "pray," not prey.

My thing is that even getting the shot doesn't mean you won't get the flu. My numbers might be wrong by now, but I think I read there are 23 strains of flu but the manufacturers of the vaccine can only put in vaccines against 5 or 6 strains. It's all a guess as to which strains will cause an outbreak. To me it's risk versus rewards. So I will wash my hands diligently and often and use hand sanitizer a lot, avoid people with sniffles, use anti-septic mouthwash a lot, never touch anything in public restrooms, and whatever else I can think of.

I had to get a flu shot every year for 20 years in the military. One time the jerk giving the shots grabbed my arm a second time poised to give me another dose all because the line hadn't moved along. I yanked away and said, "Whoa there dude." I haven't got a shot in 12 years. No flu, few colds. No shot for me, thanks anyway.

(which is technically almost impossible)

Isn't that like a contradiction or something? Isn't a thing either possible or impossible? I mean almost impossible means that it's still possible right and then to technically be almost impossible seems like it would be even more possible then almost impossible because usually people say technically about things that don't seem like how they're being presented. Like you would say to someone "well technically you're right but..."

they dont want to kill you, if you die they die, they need you to spread them.

True and not true from what I've read and heard. Basically as I understand it in situations where it's less likely to be passed around germs and viruses tend to be less fatal because as you say if they kill the host off they die too. If the situation changes however because the opportunities to be passed on increase then the germs and viruses can become more deadly because they're more likely to make it to a new host and survive and so it no longer matters if the old host dies off.

As far as getting the flu from a flu shot that should be virtually impossible. The way I understand in they basically inject you with a sterile form of the virus they think is most likely to be widespread, this then allows the body to make antibodies to fight off a live version. It's not immediate though and from what I've heard takes about three weeks for the body to build up the necessary defenses. So if you've already been exposed or become exposed around the same time or even have the flu already a flu shot isn't going to protect you.

I've heard it said that the most likely cause of people getting the flu not long after a flu shot is most likely because they were exposed to the virus when getting the flu shot. That since the flu can develope more quickly then your body building antibodies from the flu shot it's possible to catch the flu when getting the shot. This is supported by my own experiences. At one time when I had an HMO for health care the only option for the flu shot was to go into the doctor's office during a given time period devoted to administering flu shots. When I got the flu shot during that time it started with waiting for my turn to see the doctor in a crowded waiting room and invaribly there would be a couple of people there who seemed to be in the early stages of developing the flu. Well lo and behold those times I often did get the flu anyway and for a time I like many thought the flu actually came from the flu shot. So I stopped getting the shot and for a good while I didn't get the flu (like 10 straight years). Then I started getting the flu again and my belief about the flu shot started to seem doubtful. Well this year in my area they did the vaccinations in a big parking lot where basically you drove thru and never came into close contact with anyone other then the people administering the shots and they all wore gloves and protective masks. Both me and my wife got our shots that way this year and while during the holidays everyone else in my family (all of whom had not gotten their flu shot yet) came down with the flu, but me and my wife came thru the holidays unscathed.

There's probably several factors why the flu seems so bad these days, one is probably how populated the world has become and that so many of that population live in close quarters. Another factor is poor health habits, diets and lifestyle choices making people much more succeptable to all sorts of problems including but not exclusive to the flu. I think another big factor at least here in the US is the unemployment situation. I read a story recently about how 100 jobs were becoming available with the California Highway Patrol and 18,000 applied for those 100 jobs. The market is really tough right now and I'm thinking many are afraid to call in sick for fear of losing their jobs and so they go in and spread their germs. It's funny (not haha funny but ironic funny) but I've seen attitudes change dramatically about sick leave. When I was young and the job market was far less competitive it was not uncommon for employers to tell you to take off when you're sick so as not to spread germs and that that's what sick days are for. As I got older and the market became tighter it's gone the other way where employers frequently let people go if they take sick days to readily (meaning you better be knocking on death's door before you dare take a sick day). Now we seem to be headed back towards encouraging people to take off when they're sick because working while sick has proven more costly in the long run to employers then having to pay the sick leave they promote as one of the few fringe benefits left to the working class.

Excellent point about the flu shot. I think some people hear flu shot and assume that means it will protect you against any and all flu viruses which clearly isn't true. It's as you say places like CDC try to determine which strain or few strains are most likely to be a problem for the masses and then they develope a vaccin to cover just that strain or few strains. If you come into contact with a different strain that wasn't covered you're still as susceptible.

The things you mention using sanitizers, avoiding people showing symptoms, being aware of you environment and acting cautiously are all great tips and will for the most part keep one safe.

How about congressional flu, partisan flu, two party flu, Obama flu, 47% flu, 1% flu?

its not just the mercury you need to worry about, if you are allergic to eggs you must not get the flu shot. The biggest problem with the flu is the way that people travel around, state to state and country to country, and selfish people who go to work when ill so as not to lose out on their pay cheque but pass it on to all their co workers. If you're at work and someone comes in with the flu, go to your boss and claim health and safety violations by allowing them in the workplace.

not simple or scary enough...
you need equal parts o'riley and maddow with a dash of springer if you are gonna get 'merica's attention.
and you need vagina and explosions on rapid fire to keep it..

so maybe the flu was born of aborted fetus stem cells inoculated by mooslums.
toss a little conspiracy in there and some emotion...
maybe the flu causes certain persons to go insane and is being used by "them" to perpetrate false flag attacks like sandy hook...
or
the sandy hook school was actually a secret obama(or fema or haliburton or monsanto)testing facility for the new virus?

you know get 'em passin the flu around via email and facebook?

but it must be able to be spun for both sides..

either the box containing obama's kenyan birth cert also contained this rare African H3N6 strain...
or
it's bushes fault...

I apologize to most of ya'll but I'm about to go off. I absolutely hate being labelled and categorized and grouped in to something I'm not by these totally brainless assholes.

To that dick-head (I can't even bring myself to write your name you one love dick-head) who thinks most people here have iphones and nut hugging jeans, WHAT A SIMP! I (and most people I know) have neither, you moron. I do have a flip phone, does that fit your brain-dead criteria? I hate nut hugging pants, jeans included sometimes dueshe nozzle. What the fuck got stuck up your ass? You might wanna remove that stick so you can walk right.

To sum it up let me use language you must understand...BAAAA!
