finally set up the new system with 11(soon to be 12 tsi fly) one was a runt so im leaving it out while im waiting on an air layering clone of an entire branch off my mother plant. if you dont know what air layering is i suggest you check it out. could be your solution to keeping low plant numbers while you veg. but enough of that. back to the grow!

set up the system today. took forever cuz my room was a disaster. set it to flood every 4 hours with the lights on. i dipped each entire clone in neem/kelp water to kill off any whiteflies. media is growstones which is recycled glass kinda like pumice stones. holds lots of air/water. some say too much but its been ok so far and seen great things elsewhere.

Im only using veg + bloom, drip clean and i threw in some roots excel sample i had laying around. ph is set to 5.8 and EC to 1.8
thats it. i was hesitant about veg + bloom at first but now im a believer and will be unless something major changes my mind but i dont foresee that happening. they will be defoliated once or twice more and i will be scrogging them when i figure out how i want to build it.

as of right now they are under 2 400 watt MH until i get some new bulbs in. i will leave the MH until the stretch is done and then switch over.

any questions just ask. i usually update my threads quite often and i got a new camera on the way so prepare to get an eye full in the near future. :woohoo:

my goal is to get near the 1GPW goal under 2 600's. i think i will get close with these plants and ive got my fingers crossed

figured i would put a few shots of my other tsi flys up for you guys who arent familiar with her. bred by mosca negra, c99 X chimera's C4. yields quite a bit of ridiculous stanky herb in less than 8 weeks.

i ran a similar system years back and sold it when i moved and had to downsize. it works great, but it needs a shit ton of water lol

has anyone else had burning from neem oil spray of dip before?? i have on seedlings but that was a dumb move to do anyway.

So those pots are bottom fed by flooding the tray ? how long does the tray stay full of juice ? does the grow stones wick well enough ? or do you have a wick through the bottom ? sorry about all the questions but i'm eager to learn & all the flood & drain systems i've seen don't use pots that big unless they're top fed .

but looks good DH ... i'll keep watching .... your tsi flys came out killer last round !!!:tiphat:

bottom fed up through the bottom bucket from the lined and then through the inner bucket with all the holes and the grow stones. they stay flooded for 15 minutes and right now i have them set for every 4 hours when the lights are on. the stones seem to hold a lot of air and water but they dont get weighed down or too heavy when wet. i like them so far but they've only been in for two days lol. still too early to tell.

tribal, haha i wish. that was a stunted plant that never quite filled in all the way like it should have. i dont know what happened to it. it was ALL fluff for the most part. one step up from popcorn i would say. turned out dank though so no worries :)

heres a pic of the ones that got burnt up by the neem oil. looks real bad lol. i dont know if the one is gonna pull through. i planted a runt in there with it just so its not a complete loss in that bucket.

if they keel over and die i will just leave that bucket empty. none of my other strains finish up as fast as this one so the nute schedule would be different for them. sucks to waste such valuable space but whatever. i will just train the two beside it over to fill in the space.

Wazz up Desert Hydro,

Nice setup you got there. Sorry about the burnt ladies, hopefully they are able to pull thru.

Well count me in for the show, maybe I can learn a thing or two.

lights on and i got some shots with the new camera. its an olympus micro 4/3's camera otherwise known as an EVIL(electronic viewfinder interchangeable lens) camera. takes pretty good pics for the price and about half the bulk of a DSLR.

it was used on ebay and didnt come with a manual and im still learning the ropes.

DONT LAUGH AT MY WHITEFLIES!!!! lol i cant get rid of the bastards and they love being photographed

first pic is critical kush from barneys farm, next two are herijuana from s@nnie, next is an AK clone, next two are mosca negra sweet tooth freebie. i have to say it is the nicest plant ive ever gotten out of a freebie. most times i get junk or OK stuff. once ive gotten great shit but horrible yield. this time i get pretty good yield and amazing smoke. thanks mosca!

so i built the worlds largest whitefly trap with a 2' X 4' piece of 1/8" panel spray painted bright ass yellow and i will be smearing a TON of vaseline all over it. i will hang this masterpiece in true ghetto fabulous style right by my hydro plants. i expect 1000 dead the first night lol. still waiting on the paint to dry and then the lube fest will begin!

Good call on the ghettotrap we use it on our faces when fishing so the gnats don't eat us alive, bayou problems. Whats the earliest you've pulled this tsi and what percent amber were the trichs?

ive pulled at about 55 days but this time the setup is a little different and its going to about 60-65ish. id say its a good 8 week strain. any c99 pheno will finish early and the c4 pheno is about 9 weeks. at 60 i would expect 75% amber on my cut. its been fast generally coming down a week and a half or so before any other strains flipped at the same time.

the red hair is the apricot pheno which i think leans more towards the c4 lineage. the light colored one is ALL cindy. both are super dank like solid 8's on the scale. apricot has less smell but the cindy pheno stinks so strong its scary.

i think the cold is slowing them down a bit. not only that but the tips and calyxes are turning purple in spots which i think is due to the cold as well. looks cool but i would rather it have finished a week ago and skipped the tiny bit of purple haha. i clipped this off right now. only a few amber. mostly cloudy and clear on the rest. gonna give her another 7-10 days for sure. my guess is she will plump up pretty good during the flush. im flushing with molasses and dripclean.
