The offense was committed before the mandatory minimums kicked in.
The bullshit sentencing didn't start until infractions committed after Nov 6th 2013.

Unfortunately, there's been a SCOC ruling already that says mandatory minimums don't violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We'll see what the courts say, someone needs to go at it with a good lawyer.

ya never know a good friend was in a similar situation and he managed to "social engineer" a very positive pre sentence report and ended up with house arrest with the only conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior
