Flee to Colorado when arrested for growing in a non med state?

Something crossed my mind...I know for a fact that in most or any case, if a different country wants to extradite you for something that is legal where you are (but illegal where they want to send you) then that cannot take place....sooooo what then if you are busted with 6 plants in some crap hole like Texas or whatnot and then hit the road to Colorado to start your new life?

It may be the case, I can't think of any other felony in one state that is completely legal in another...are these waters untested, or is this just a dream?

Go ask Marc Emery about extradition.

I'm not saying I'm right or wrong, but I'm not sure how many of you are paying attention to the point that it is completely legal in Colorado. What Marc Emery did was illegal in Canada, too. If you can cite me one example where something that is legal in one state resulted in the extradition to another state, I will digress.

Each of the 50 states has an extradition agreement. You'll be sent right back where you came from. The states observe a chronology, so say you commit a crime in one state, then move and commit a crime in another state. The first state gets you first, then the second state, and so on and so forth. They all get a crack at you if they want it.

I would, but I'd have to use a personal friend as the first, best example I'm aware of. :) Search some case law, use Google Scholar's legal section.

How about assault weapons laws state to state, or

How about "age of consent". 16,17 or 18 depending on the state.

Oops, got caught with an assault weapon while butt naked with a 16 year old, I'll just hop over to Montana or where ever, I'll be cool there.

Doesn't work that way.

I

im me

ANo matter what state you flee to.they will eventually find u and extradite you... If your facing alot of time and I hope your not but if you are I.say run bro if your not facing too much time stay and face the charges no matter what u decide take care man I wish you the best of luck take care

Lol @ this thread! I don't think I've laughed out loud like this in a long while. I needed that!

To the OP: last time I checked, CO and TX are states, not countries. They are both in the same country, so there is no such thing as fleeing from one to the next, lol.

It's not even really "extradition", you're still in the US(think of it as one big state in terms of warrants), they will slowly ship you around the country to face all your warrants where ever they are.
