Bringing in the new year with some Tahoe Og , this cut is the shizzit. lemon earthyness ....This is the kinda pot that turns you into a crack head I have three of these about to come down and its all staying with me... Got a grip of new cuts to run in 2013 so it should be an interesting year filled with lots of OG's ..

What are you guys favorite method for Hash/extracts? That isn't a huge crazy process like vacuume purging and whatnot. Not hating on those methods at all because they clearly produce some top notch extracts. Just don't personally have the time for a big process like that. Method for High grade trim? And method for low grade like stems/fans?

Hard to beat BHO with vacuum purging, but if you are pressed for time you might want to look into bubble bags and make some ice water hash extracts. Only takes about 5-8 minutes of stirring and then you just let it drain and the hash dry out.

Yea man, you got her to trich up nice--not always the easiest to dial but when she is, the funk is ridiculous. I was thinking of putting her on the bench for a few, but my last run changed my mind bout that.

Go to any art supply place and grab one of these for about twenty bucks or go to a silk screen place and buy a used one (might have a hole or two to put tape over) for 5-10 bucks or even free.

Then just take your trim and rub it around on the screen with a card until you start seeing green in your beautiful pile of yellow trichomes that will form under...

Really can't get any easier than that. I don't even bother with the oven and cooking, I just press it together in plastic till it's stiff enough to smoke, or just smoke it as powder...

TYGA -- it aint hard or too expensive to build yourself a vac purge system. pickup a 2.5CFM vac pump from Harbor Freight, think its around $100.. pick up a piece of thickest acrylic you can get at Home Depot, just a few bucks.. grab a couple fittings and hoses from HD too. Use a stainless steel pot, cut hole for fittings in acrylic, attach hoses and your running. think i got mine all done for under $200, best investment ive made in a long time.

this came from a single bean found in an elbow i had, it was called "Sweet Island Skunk" .. who knows what it was or what it is, but the bud smelled nothing like the progeny. this flower STINKS of pine, like WOAH.. i cant even smoke a whole bowl of it because its SO overwhelming. while its not my cup of tea, there are hoards of people fucking loving this girl.. hardly stretches, done in 60 days

took down 13.5 zips, i was flipping the light back and forth from 1000w to 600w to save on power, and i coulda trimmed up a bit more under the canopy & stayed on deleafing better. excuses excuses excuses, lol, i just threw a Number Nine into that spot.. so we will see if she can beat the 13.5

I'll second that I got a 5cfm pump and medium sized desiccator (about 14in dia) and it was worth every penny. Thanks to that and some helpful tips from friends the quality of my oil has now gone through the roof. Able to get shatter that doesn't wax up at all after weeks and is way more flavorful that the herb it came from. Amazed how much better it is than the wax I was making just a short while ago. I really enjoyed oil previously, now I don't want to even touch flowers aside for just tasting stuff. Setup probably cost me $350 total I'd recommend it to any friend.

It's hard to tell but it does look a lot like a cut we were gifted on the east coast. Extremely frosty, and grows short. Some of the leaves are huge on ours, bigger than your face. Finsishes fast, has an incredible old school taste when smoked, I can't even believe that some folks don't like it when I smoke with them... I have asked about what I was told was "Island Sweet Skunk" cut we got but nobody seems to have much info. I am wondering if yours is from a cut in the NE US if you are comfortable saying that much...

no it came from some herb hailing from norcal

it was labeled Sweet Island Skunk, not Island Sweet Skunk. and ive had ISS before, it definitely wasnt ISS.. had a nice sweet taste tho, not so skunky. But this bean that i found from it, good lord its a fucking pine tree.

Coastal -- ha thats funny man, my story is the same. the quality of my erl has gone thru the roof. im doing 10 vac pulls over 6 hrs, we used to remove the erl from vac chamber to reheat with a heat gun, but now we setup the stainless steel chamber in a double boil to keep temps where we need them and wow, gets it cleaner and tasting just wow. my friend broke my American Flag RooR tube, so i got a glass saw and made a nice clean cut after the ice pinch .. and waalaa, hah, i have a sick BIG glass exctractor tube.. an American Flag RooR Extractor haha its dope

...one more thing... whats the main difference in the CFM of the vac pump? i get to full vac in under 5 seconds. is that the only difference?.. just how fast full vac is acheived?

If you let her go for a bit more she will let you know what sex she is without flipping her first, then revegging her, then flipping her again. That ruins a plants yield and growth structure really bad. Plus takes waaaay longer. Just keep her in 24h of light and check the preflowers in 2 weeks. Easy-Simple. It only takes about 4-5 weeks from seed to see the pre-flowers.

It only takes about 4-5 weeks from seed to see the pre-flowers.

Or take a cut of it and flower the cut with a fluorescent in a separate room. Very easy way to tell sex, early on.

Being able to vac-purge is awesome, but for simplicity's sake, making BHO w/ a tube is damn quick & easy.

Really coming on here to spur any of you who haven't voted in the Dec. POTM, to consider rasputin's entry.

hook up your co2 to a heating thermostat so it shuts off when it gets hot enough for the exhaust to kick on... it will be much cheaper... put an intake fan on the same cooling thermostat as the exhaust so it it pulls cool air in and you half the time it takes to cool down the room.
