I just took 175 cuts of one strain going to take another 100 in the morning thanks
Just remember that no 2 cuts root in the same time frame , nor once rooted grow similarly so that`s why mega cuts should be taken to find the "picks of the litter" that WILL grow similarly in plant structure once fully rooted and transplanted.....and...

That`s how yas develop a dialed sideways canopy with increased plant numbers and bare bulbs......Happy New Yrs guys.....

I finally got most of my plants out of the veg room, and so I've moved on to phase 2 of root aphid elimination. I cleaned out the flood tubs... I thought about saving all the algae I scraped up for HL45's salads... but then I remembered he prefers organics, and my algae was grown with synthetic nutes... So I tossed it. :moon: Bleach and a scrub brush, a little elbow grease, and a buckethead and I had everything looking like new! Emptied out the res, vacuumed that out... Treated the remaining 9 plants with imid and malathion. Goodbye aphids... Now I just need to dispose of all the existing coco mix.

Golden Goat is Freak Island Sweet Skunk x (Hawaiian x Romulan)

Thanks for the compliments. Expecting some big things from you too bro... Like investing in an education!

The idea with all the different rooms is that I want to duplicate setups of other growers here on icmag... Marlo grows in a real small space... I want him to use multiple 400's instead of 600's on a mover. What better way to explain what I'm talking about than show it? I mean I could be wrong as well, and there's only one way to find out...

Blumats suck if you aren't able to play with them for the first 2 weeks. I would never use them in an absentee grow again. There's just too many things that can go wrong. My new spot has floor drains, so I'm using them in my veg room right now with hardly any issues... I can also check on the plants every day and adjust the blumats as necessary. Once they're dialed, you don't even have to look at them.

My strategy for irrigating the octagon is going to be DTW... I could build a big complicated manifold with ball-valves on each level... but I think I'm going to run one manifold pipe, with 48 5' 1/4" drip lines. There's more than one way to skin a mule and get equal pressure to each and every plant site. I think this way will work best and it's the most simple. I've just gotta bind all the extra tubing to keep it from becoming a mess. As for collecting runoff, I haven't decided exactly how to do that... but I have a few ideas. I'm not gonna get into them right now... I haven't made up my mind, and I don't want Mr. D stealing my ideas... :moon:

Holy strawDD! How long did you veg that'n for? Any guesses on weight? :D

:respect:

That little thing? 2-3 months. I don't speculate on weight until it's trimmed and hanging, and then I can generally tell you within an oz. I probably won't be as accurate once I harvest more than 16oz... :)

Straw DD... For real, this is going to be my main squeeze from now on. Just gotta slice and dice for a while to get the numbers up. This is one of the largest colas I've ever grow, and I did it with 430w lamps...

Looking good in here. I'm very interested in how you end up plumbing the octagon, both the manifold and runoff collection. The runoff issue is what has been keeping me from building some racks. I have a shower drain in my space but I still need to route the water so it's not dumping all over lower plants.

I have also considered doing what you did with the smart pots inside the buckets, then just run a 1/4" line off each bucket ala D9's PPK... but in racks I would need to see if it can be done with 2 or 3 gal buckets instead of 5... plus that is a ton of drip line (plus the manifold) and it could turn into a mess.

Many ways ta skin a mule indeed......but........all about the pump`s head pressure as well my buddy , so I`m sure you`ll figure this shit out one way or the other.......

WT215`s got rez`s and individual pumps for each level of his stadium to do away with head pressure concerns and I thought it was pretty slick.....and yeah......

I went waaay overboard dialin in my feed and drain system but fuck it....it worked......repeatedly ......so I was cool with it........anyways.....

Good luck Bro.......May this be YOUR yr.......and....

is that the CHM 430w lamps you mean or just normal 430w HPS?

430w ceramalux hps

If you're building racks, a square design will give you less headaches... Or individualized racks anyway instead of shelving like I've done. Don't jump the gun and I guarantee you'll see another rack build out of me soon enough.

Yeah dude if I had gone with a square design and built individual manifolds for each rack the ball valves would work well... But I had always envisioned a wrap around manifold in an octagon... And wrap around manifolds are harder to get even pressure because you have to keep the whole length of tubing level... And in my crooked house and current build that's not happening. Pressure makes a big difference in getting juice to each and every plant...

I got myself some grommets to use with the barbed fittings... Wish I would have got on those sooner. I've spent a lot of time learning what doesn't work. I'm gonna try sticking to what works from now on. I'm a lot happier these days. Harvests every 2-3 week with my flip rooms throughout 2013 and until shutdown....

I can't wait to tear that shit down and rebuild... Go up to the lake house and laugh at the frustrating times... Nothing but a memory...

 bobble, bobble, bobble, maybe you havn't been paying attention to my thread. I didn't buy 200' of flexzilla, a 300 dollar selenoid, and 64 drain fittings because i'm waiting on you for ideas. I've known how I planned to setup my DTW racks since before you bought your first selenoid. Just been a lil busier taking care of oh something like 500 more lights worth of garden than you ;).

Things are looking good bro. Can't wait to see what you come up with this year :peacock:
