The only states that the Obama administration has not busted up are those that license dispensaries with their respective states. New Mexico, Maine, New Jersey, and I do believe Colorado have all been free of federal raids, at least so far. This bill is a monopoly. It's aim is to take the growing away from ordinary citizens and make it a commercial enterprise. This is the first baby step towards getting Marlboro on board to produce cannabis.

NJ hasn't been raided yet because there is nothing to raid. No pot, no open dispensaries, and NO REGISTERED patients. so far I believe 140 phsycians are signed up to write scrips, but 0 patients so far, and no pot will be ready before october.

and I thought there was something going on in Colorado, I may b e wrong though.

Yep. NJ had a similar provision and applicant had to drop a similarly large deposit.

For those of you who believe this bill will never be implemented...I apologize ahead of time but you are dead wrong. Simply put money and crony capitalism will come into play. There are some people back there with the cash and the political connections that will make this happen out of pure greed. I lived in Connecticut for nearly 20 years and money is about the only thing the residents of that state care about. I don't know if it still is but CT is one of the richest states per capita in the country, if not the richest.

Do I like this shit?? Hell no. But it is what it is. If Massachusetts goes full on legal...it may provide enough competition to slow these guys down. When the first dispensary does open I would expect 75-80 dollar eighths. With that kind of money...this shit will happen.

This is the first step to having a state ran CORPORATE MMJ policy with only a few rich people reaping the rewards... Only large corporations like Marlboro and shit will be able to apply for a license.. They will run it like this say that this is the model for the country and kill the medical scene everywhere so big corporations can run it.

this is the worst law ever written for MMJ and was written like this on purpose. Im sure they already have the growers picked out. They tried to do this in michigan as well and failed.

I can't wait till all states pass the laws, once the Feds say its legal the rest of the states will follow, it inevitable. I just hope that states and the Feds don't tax and regulate it like they did the Tobacco industry, they screwed that all up. This is an unexplored industry will so many possibilities, it will be the biggest industry to come along since the cellphone era. Watch what I am saying.
