I'll need to grow a few more for certain, because this particular pheno really isn't "the one" I had in my mind. I'm not sure how many beans it'll take but time will tell...and I say this prior to smoking her, maybe I'll be wrong.

Chili - it isn't over the top berry. It's much more mild in the resins that it is on the stem rub. Her stems smell much more berry than the resins seem to. Wishing it was the other way around, obviously. But that is also why I think that with a cure more of the berry is going to come out in the profile. Kind of how blue dream needs a good 6wk cure before she REALLY starts to give of those blueberry nuances...all speculation.

But she has been a bit touchy in a less that perfect environment, which goes to say nothing at all, ultimately. But you can see the digi spear topped buds in the pic of the lower bud. The main cola is stacked with the same spears, but they are just tighter and chunkier. I'm curious how she'll smoke. She's certainly frosty...

I'm certainly going to be making some the White x (pre98 Bubba x Digi Bx1) for checking out things that direction. It may be a better pairing that way. Not more blueberry so to say, but a more stable, easier to grow, more consistent type of plant produced...

I think I will be making a few more white x digi bx1 beans with some of the frozen pollen I have left. Though, it likely won't be very many. I'd be happy with another 50 beans just for head stash, to be honest.

how many seeds did you pop to find your digi berry male?

I grew them out over the course of 3 years and think I went through 58 seeds during that time. I sprouted 10 seeds after the male was found, but ended up holding on to him...

There were two females I had kept from the Bx1 line - one I called the fuel pheno and it was a heavy mixture of diesel and berry - was great smoke. And another called the UF, as I had kept it for having positive traits, but it had remained un-flowered for a long time. So I just started calling it the un-flowered pheno...ie UF. A picture of the UF pheno won ICmag Photo of the Month in Nov. 2011, I think it was..

All the various phenos I had held and the male have been lost for various reasons at different times along the way...

Smoke report? Any of that berry come through?

Not without a cure. Just very hashy. The stem had a lot of berry undertones...but the plant and resin just not there. Very much and earthy sweet hash.

The trichs were about 5-10% - in the macros it was obvious she was ready. The effect is very heavy do nothing herb. I like it. Great pain relief - not too much sleepiness with it but certainly keeps you in the "stoner slouch"... Very nice effect... a lot to be desired in the flavor...

I've seen this expression in several other white hybrids...the top gets blocky and square, fat flowers in star caylx clusters. So I was expecting a mostly white dominant smoke to begin with...

Going to keep hunting for the pheno I'm looking for. It'll be in there some where.

i culled two, one was a trifoliate that didnt grow on, and the other seemed to have slow root growth. here are the other 8. quite pleased that there are no leaf deformities - which are pretty common in blueberry lines.
