Thanks Space case. Ya, that's kinda what I was thinking to, they would get a little bit for about an hour when the lights come back on. I'll definitely be picking up a couple meters for this, like you said, just to see where the levels are at night.

Another question for you guys. Does anyone know where I can get 6-8k worth of lighting for cheap now days? I used to use an online store but it's out of business now apparently. Like I've said before, been outa the growing scene for a while and kinda lost touch on where all the deals can be found now days. Thanks ahead of time. Peace

Some good info here in the threads. Just thought I would say hi and whats up.

Welcome, Orion. Hang in there man. You will find your space here. Don't get discouraged. IC is the best site on the net with the best information but also has some clicks and less tolerant folks. Most are good people but in general IC is a little less forgiving for some of the newer members or others that are less "experienced". People get tired of the same questions or shit that is readily available with just a little looking. Usually you will find the people you jive with quickly and don't worry about the static.

There are some big differences in the high country growing but you will adapt quickly. Mostly it is just adjusting to the new climate and fine tuning your methods.

Hey thanks Sacred. Na, I'm not gonna get discouraged just because of one or two tools. Most have been really friendly and helpful.
Yes, this climate is completely different than what I'm used to. My job transferred us out here, kinda on a moments notice. But, I think the whole family likes it better here, so that's a good thing. Thanks again for the advice and kind words.

Pretty much everything SacredBruh posted, but also refrain from double posting because that irks some folks; also just my 2cents but I think Frito is a great poster, one of my favorite actually, and has a strong energy on stable ground vibe about him. I understand how you felt, but the way you reacted didnt really help to defuse things... at all.
Just use this as a learning experience, try to make people understand how you feel and why you didnt like what they said instead of going off about how you want to shut them up IRL or whatever, you might actually find that youre really likeminded if you try not to make a fire from a tiny spark of misunderstanding or lack of communication. Your various posts had really good questions pertaining to Colorado, but try to concentrate information into one or fewer posts next time.

I'm from the pacific northwest but love this thread and what all of you guys do, keep on keeping on :tiphat:

Rustlewood: Yes, I tend to go off the deep end when it come to people causing trouble, for no reason, out of the blue. Which, you're right, I do need to work on that, lol. But to me, that's the worst kind of person. I'll just ignore those types on here from now on, since they snitched on me.

In other news. The boys got the trusses and 2x4's here today, still nothing vertical yet. On order, I have....

1. 6 1k set-up's, Lumatek ballasts. Radiant 6'' hoods, and bulbs

2. 6400cfm worth of fan.

Also, picked up my hydro system from Home Depot today as well. If any of you know of Bigtoke on here. I'm going with his Bio-bucket system. Starting to piece it together, I think by March I'll have her ready to go.

That's the first, first thing, cause lead time for a good deal on a tank can take some time.

But then you want to know what is the R-Value of said outbuilding, walls, roof, ect...
Colorado gets cold bro. Depending >where< (have I seen that before?) you are snow could be huge. Deckers area is in a banana belt, usually doesn't get so bad. Central and southwest, just depends on the year.

Just learned how cold it can get before shit just stops growing. Can get by with slightly lower temperatures if they water stays warm, but best solution is get a big propane heater (15K btu min), propane tank 100+gal [or wood stove instead], fuckload of insulation (spray cellulose is cheap), seal that bitch up good (so the only air exchange is through your HVAC and not the actual building), organize two rooms so you get constant heat at 3.5k Btu per light (1,000 W) during winter.
And don't forget your lucky charms :blowbubbles:

I like the look of those, still haven't made one, though. Interested to see how it turns out.
But if it were me, I'd just set her up however get a round in that'll be ready by March and then have a whole three months to fuck around building a new system.
Or just buy some ADD drugs off a high school kid. You'll have that shit done in a day.

Does anybody know A Doc in the Springs that will do an edible rec for a Cancer Patient? She's got a 24 plant rec right now, and is up for renewal in about 6 weeks, and her old Doc has disappeared. She's too sick to drive to Denver. Please, if you know, either post it up, or PM me!

Yeah, i'm sitting here with too much to do, assistant could probably be ready with his paperwork by monday but instead hes giving his time to someone who'll pay him slightly more but is only offering 4 days of work, kinda makes me want to grab some random scrub to take the spot instead.

Just like women and parking spaces, good ones are taken, remainder are handicapped.
