Day 28 flower

Day 28 flower

..........Day 21.......................Day 28

bud porn;

I have never personally seen buds puff up so fast. And the smell has changed. Still the cat piss, but something sweeter and fruitier too.

I hope it smokes as good as it looks.

Very nice! How long are you planning on flowering?
Hi biynx,

I dont have a clue. This is a kush, I was told and I have never grown any kush before. I'm thinking at least another 3 weeks.

Since my last grow of a sativa went 16 weeks flower, 7 weeks is nothing. :)

See ya,

Hey OO, your kush looks great at four weeks flower! I let my Vanilla Kush go ten weeks in my SOG but yours look faster.

Hi guys,

Hey cheese, I think it will be good enough.

The smell is staying in the furnace room right next to the cab VG. She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed cant smell anything yet. I`m a bit worried about chop day...

Thanks for the kind words HL45.

Hi Pete. How did you determine when to chop your kush?

OO

When growing a strain for the first time, I use one of those lighted microscopes from Radio Shack. It's ready to chop when I see mostly cloudy trichs with a few ambers at about ten weeks. Next time, I just judge by eye. It's not that critical; I can chop at 9, 10 or 11 weeks and it's all good.

Day 35 flower

Day 35 flower

..........Day 28.......................Day 35

buds:

Notice the yellowing fan leaves in the day 35 pic? Anything to worry about? I'm still using the same 1.1 EC in the bulk rez and getting 1.5ish in the PPK rez.

The smell is growing much stronger. I'm also seeing about 10% browning of the (I forget what the hell do you call them?) "hairs".

Gotta dash,

Maybe she's really short and already getting ready to finnish?

How uniform is the yellowing, i.e. is it a uniform fading or is it 'concentrated' around the veins, etc?

Great looking flowers.

Not that your hazes weren't...

But so different.

Hi IF,

The yellowing is very uniform across the whole leaf. The worst ones are those right at the bottom of the plant and those a bit higher are less and less yellow but still involving the whole leaf.

Its like I have started a pre-harvest flush but of course I've done no such thing.

I'm wondering if I should have fed her more earlier but she looked so healthy.

All that being said, I'm happy with her and should get some decent smoke.

Cheers and Merry Christmas!

it looks really advanced for 35 days but it still shouldn't be yellowing at this point.

you don't really know what it is so maybe it's just a nute hog. you might bump the feed up a little.

with jack's the plants nitrogen responses should drive feed decisions. it looks to me that it's not getting enough. that 1.1 might be a little light for this plant.

that's a lot of bud in that little box!

looks like overfeeding. maybe to much salt build-up in your medium. try flushing it thoroughly with water.

I have to agree with delta9nxs, the symptoms point to a slight nitrogen deficiency. If you did bump it up and it fixed the problem note it for the future. Good records can be invaluable.

I wouldn't worry about it...the speed at which it bulked up (quite amazing!) probably means it uses the most accessible forms of food available first...which could well be the leaves.

I think it will go 63 days and you'll be sweet as!
