Kali Mist indoor organic serious seeds first run

We are planning on flipping them around Christmas. The organic soil we mixed still has to cook longer, and there is still lots of work to do. So, that's the goal at the moment. I've read that the stretch on the Kali Mist is substantial.

Sneaky found some pests(thrips) today on the PK clones that we have been vegging out to the side. I'll let him get into the details of what went on. He worked his ass off getting that treated today.

damn! We are pretty sure they came from the clones. In the future I think we might mother and clone our own stuff from seed. It's just safer. We stocked up our arsenal of pest control treatments and talked about ways that we can both create a more santized environment. I think we will be more prepared against this sort of thing from here on out.

Ok! Update time. DAY 55

We had that thrips problem and treated the plants for the second time today. While we did that we labeled the Kali Mist plants (and one PK that was transplanted early), watered all the plants, took pictures, and attempted to sex the plants.

The PK clones. They are looking healthier. No holes on the leaves anymore.

My first strain :) Love it. Some Kali pheno can be superhappy creative energy fun partytime frisby whee-d. Great social smoke, go for that pheno. I would avoid the pheno that is overly cerebral, great for deep thinking but drawback is it can easily put you over the edge into paranoia.

If you can get a productive-structure party-high pheno you are set man. Oh and the flavors.. mine ranged from savory-chocolatey to spicey. This was like over 10 years ago tho, curious about changes/improvements since then.

I remember it responding great to topping/LST, the tops growth rate balance out really well and quickly. Basically get a nice canopy of meaty tops going and let it rip. The colas should be long, on my magic pheno the nugs were actually pretty damn dense, so it can be a very nice yielder for a sativa. I mailed out so many clones of that pheno on OG, I remember this one kid had it goin nuts SOG'n with coco drip. Just a great fuckin' strain I can't wait to have another go, I'll be watching..

some progress

some progress

so i decided i better start getting the perpetual together. so instead of a tent i'm going with a hard air tight flower box thats 4x8. I want it so sealed that my exhaust fan pulls my hinged door closed.

so that construction is under way.. tommorow i am going to try to assemble the walls and hang the light. I'll be flowering with a 1000 watt HPS, but in the future i'll probably put two 600s in a 4x8 SCROG.

As the construction moves forward, tommorow I will address a Fungus gnat problem that I noticed today.. ( A few adults buzzing around the young clones ). I put yellow stickies on the Kali females which have just entered into their final organic medium mix. I also Plan to dress the top layer of soil with Neem cake.

Anyone have any suggestions besides neem cake to kill the larvae of the gnats? And how does one go about applying the neem cake.

The other option is I could transplant the PK Clones and mix the neem cake into the already cooked organic medium that i have in my 50 gallon totes.. Unfortunately i won't have the room to transplant until I finish the construction of the 4x8 flower and i can move the kali in their.

Any advice greatly appreciated as always =)

New confirmed female! Brings the total female count for this pack of seeds up to 5. We are very happy. Here she is, freshly transplanted.

Some other clones that we are waiting to transplant as soon as we finish the flower box and get the Kali Mist flowering. I'll let Sneaky fill you in on the strains. I believe there is PK, mango, GS Cookies, and 3 kali mist clones that we cut to test rooting(gorgeous big white roots, camera was not charged at the time. DOH!)

Wow guys those plants are looking fan-fuggin'-tastic!!! Can't believe the amount of patience you've shown in vegging those girls past 65 days. You're gonna be rewarded 10x by doing so, they're going to be monsters!

We have got to get this box done !!! the purple kush need a transplant into the dank mix anyways, i think they are showing signs of rootbound.. Just need to get the AC and exhaust mounted and we'll be gtg to flower them bitches!

Might do a SCROG for the 4 kali females we flower.. We will keep 1 as a mother and probably run nothing but kali next time. however, the purple kush clone looks very promising. out of the 13 we had, i put the one in worst shape ( i shop vaced it up ), in the pure knowledge soil mix.. it absolutely BLEW the fuck up in a 2 liter, leaves are huge, and it is almost the size of the kalis.. lol.

Pretty cool update. We now have the 5 females vegging under a 1000 watt EYE Hortilux bulb.

Here are some pictures of the construction and the current state of the plants. Enjoy!

Some of those poor, root-bound clones get some space now! We have a lot of work to do tomorrow in a lot of areas to get ready to flip to flower in a few days.
