What's new

2k watt 12 bucket (10gal) Aeroponic!~KUSH~

I made some comparison photos that are 7 days apart, the first photo is 3 days into things going bad, the newest picture is 3 days after the fix (if that makes any sense..)

They are goin to explode when you add the
big lights!!!

Cheers

what you can accomplish with 30 days, even with almost killing your plants. i'm becoming a believer in hydro more and more by the day. it is literally unbelievable the growth that is happening. just check it out. keep in mind the first two pictures are almost 18 days apart, however thats when things where going wrong. the next 12 are documented in the second two pics, when things are going correctly~

Roots are looking really good and the amount of growth in the last week is impressive.

What made you decide to ultimately choose to make this hydro system as opposed to a ebb and flow table or bucket, dwc or whatever else?

Im trying to get a 2 x 600w hps grow going in 2 3x3 or 4x4 tents with a switch with attached air cooled hoods (i.e. one fan connected to both passively through the tents.) with a 400w mh rooting and veg chamber to pull of a somewhat perpetual staggered grow

I have been growing in soil now for a while with good results, but i wanted to try something new. my friend has a current culture set up going that i was going to try and mimic, but i didn't like the fact that over 100 gallons of water was in circulation the whole time. So i took some random knowledge from a few issues of High Times and you tube videos of hybrid systems, and just kinda drew this idea up. worked on paper, so we went with it, we've changed a few things since the initial design (closed drain system) and we are going to make up a new idea instead of risers hopefully for the flowering side!~

this bubba kush strain is super thick, shouldn't need support, but we'll see. meh its taken a little longer to get to this point because we were making some mistakes at the beginning. these pictures are 2 weeks apart, so use that as a growth meter~

Nice plants sir ! :good:

What are the EC/TDS and pH values ? I see a slight sign of dead zones on your roots (the brown spots, especially on the lower end of the roots - where probably they hold more nutrient solution) and I am curios if this is caused by a high EC of the nutrient solution.

the brown on the roots is caused by liquid karma and humboldt roots as far as i can tell.

the PH fluctuates with the water uptake ;i add a gallon a day with 1/4 oz of safer down to counter balance this. but i have caught it playing around in the upper 7's before :(

Very cool setup. liking the simplicity. you keep those temps an ph in check an you should have yourself a nice pull.

would hate to see u loose them, def would suggest a water chiller. An later on when shes packs the weight on, watch out for the container tops buckling in. then the net pot falls into the container. been there, done that. some of those containers really loose their rigidness an strength when holes are introduced to there structure.

I hear you on managing 10 vs 100 gallons. but at 10 gals the solution could have to be changed every day or every other day once things are rolling. 10 gals of solution, the nutes can get off balance very quickly!!! the bigger the rez the more stable temps an ph will be, an longer you can go in between rez changes.

watch to see when you do a rez change if you get sudden growth spurts. if u do, u know you are not circulating enough solution or going to long in between rez changes outs.

good luck mannnnn an b-safe

Getting a water chiller on friday, should have the flowering side up and running this weekend~!

i change the solution every 7 days, seems to keep things nice and happy. might switch to a 20 gallon rez here soon, we'll see.

not to worried about the lids collapsing in, the risers act as a good weight stabilizer~
