Today was a great day, had breakfast with the new business owner, the greenhouse contractor brought the blueprints and the new owner wanted my input before he signed another large check and signed off on the final design for the GH. I made a few suggestions and my Architectural Drafting degree finally paid off for me, so the contractor was a bit impressed when I showed him a slight error on one of the drawings....anyway nothing much will happen for a month. The GH contractor is starting to pull a few key people off the Nevada project to start excavating and preparing the build site for the GH.

I'm pretty excited but have to have a real serious conversation with Gro-Bro tonight. I really need his help on this and if he doesn't want to drive an hour one way for a lot of money, well I may have to just rely on a lot of hispanic helpers or ???....note to self " brush up on your Spanish".....anyway gone driving for two weeks so I will be posting less, the new owner is going to email me a contract while I am out so I can get it to my lawyer to make sure I am in agreement with it and everything is to my satisfaction.

I am pleasentely pleased with how things are moving and am feeling more comfortable with the opportunity, in one year I can make enough money to buy my own 20 acre site locally if I want to go off by myself and he knows this already, but he hopes I will just bank the money and work for him for about 3-4 years....I may do 2 then go off on my own if I can.

All that is really insignificant as we have a LOt of work to do to get their....one step at a time ....today was another step.

I'm sure y'all thought of this .. But whatever ends up in writing, with your signature on it.. It's probably pretty durned important that you're not contracted (contracting yourself) to do anything ILlegal, ..

I dunno how it works out in y'alls quasi-"Anything goes" spot, .. But, just some forethought.

Also, thinking back, .. I think you'd mentioned that you've got a salary of $1k/wk, and then a piece of the action..?

Probably TBD yet, but what's the mechanism by which you'll be able to measure whether or not you're getting your piece? Seems to me that, in addition to having a lot of faith, trust and hope in the Main Man, you oughtta be plugged into the end-distribution gimmick, at some level..?

Same as the old casinos skimmin' cash off the top.. Just a thought. I'd hate for you to work yourself into a corner where you're getting $1k/wk, while making someone else rich, while they tell you "Man we've had to move this shit at pennies on the dollar, i dunno dude, I hope your $1k/wk and a little love will last you.. SilverH - w/o saying too much...that was one of my key concerns...BUT EVERYTHING WE ARE DOING IS LEGAL!

Remember he has 2 dispensaries and 2 delivery services so we have PLENTY of scripts to cover our plant numbers (having said that we are meeting with a local MMJ Lawyer in Carmel in January to go over what we CAN and CANNOT do), With the dispensaries and delivery services, he has the distribution ALTHOUGH I have some distribution that he does not and THAT is key to having some leverage on the situation but I hear yah mang....I also will be running the "ongoing" trim operation and he is renting a local house or apartment JUST FOR TRIMMING since we will have a rotating crop and basicly continual trimming going on and for obvious reasons we want the trim scene separate from the grow op for security issue's.

I will see exactly how much dried product we have, this is another key reason he is hiring me. I have a financial services background and he wants someone to keep good records and inventory control and basic bookkeeping for this operation and control cost's...all I've done before. So I will see everything.

But we are far from that....one step at a time.....

Please keep in touch with me or this thread cuz I'm going at about 150 miles per hour at the moment and once the green light is given to me in reality it is going to be 10 hour days and 1-2 hours of bookkeeping every night and I don't see any long vacations anytime soon...

OK for those who do not know what Big Sur is or looks like, it is simply a incredibly beautiful section of coastline and inland hiking and camping area just south of Carmel, CA. It is stunning and one of the most photographed area's of California, it is a "must see" destination if you come to Cali, here are a few pics I found on Goggle Images that show the coastline going all the way up to a ridgeline similar to the one we will be working, and a few snaps (as close as I could get them) of a house similar to the one I will be staying in for part of the week.

Stuck in L.A. getting my truck fixed so I had some time on my hands..hopefully this will be my last or second to last trip for these guys BUT I am not quiting until I have something solid to move into.

The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step Mega......Got many many growbro`s on the left coast that employ "light dep`s" and full gh grows throughout full outdoor season to provide consistent product to the dispensaries/collectives they own....

The light dep`s bring in revenue to pay operating costs , while the full gh runs bring home the bacon......but.....

Yas gotta understand that providing product when it`s scarce pays dividends , as to where when shit comes in at the same time as everyone elses , it`s how far yas gotta discount yer shit till it sells in peak season......unless.....

Yas got deep pockets ta sit on said product till OD surge and overflow goes away EVERY season....and......if dewd has the ways and means to distribute said product in a timely manner with said retail outlets , then setup sounds chilly.....but....

Gotta determine market share and what`s your cut "upfront" cuz he makes his on the back end by retailing and paying storefront costs of doin business to control his overhead of location rent , employees , utilities . and such......anyways......

Thanks guys too tired to respond to everyone individually, but I read and thought about what everyone posts her, their are no rules other than to be kind and respectful to each other.....I have to head through the northern Cali Siskous mountains tomorrow and a big storm s blowing through now, I won't lie ( never have to you guys) I'm a bit anxious even scared. I'm not too heavy but that itself could be an issue if I hit big winds......
