Flo crosses

I have recently chopped some plants of crosses i made, DJ short Flo (temple cut) x white OGK, and DJshort Flo x Grimm Reaper (old TGA stock of Bro. Grimm cross)

^^^ both of the above are flo x ogk, a very purple leaning pheno (gets it from the flo that always would show colors upon maturity) sweet and kushy smell (purp1 pheno)

below is another flo x ogk w even more dark purple leaves, very dark green as well, this one is more kushy smelling and slightly lower yielding. i call it purp2 pheno

im really tryin to work on my photography skills.... please be patient.

next up is the best looking & smelling, and high yielding as well, its the "pink" pheno of flo x grimm

How do your crosses affect the Flo high?

what i have sampled thus far is similar to the flo mother traits as far as high is concerned perhaps a lil heavier, but:
most of the crop is still curing; however, i am expecting these crosses to be generally more potent, the white ogk was a very strong buzz, and a very resinous male was picked.
some phenos not pictured here smell so similar to the flo mother, i am amazed. these crosses were made to keep the temple cut of flo alive, the mothers i had were all very worn. i am very glad to see strains leaning toward the mother side; however, will also be delighted to find the kushy ones in the batch as well.

ill keep posting pics and smoke reports as it becomes ready to smoke.

Niiiice. I like Flo. I've run her pure and crossed to CDD.
I've seen/read that DJ strains tend to dominate in crosses,and yours look that way too. Mine were 50/50 or leaned to the father physically at least....luck of the draw maybe. Didn't run that many. I'll give'em another whirl down the line.
I'm vegging up some (guerreroberry x flo) x (guererroberry x (flo x CDD)) and the same flo momma crossed to mental floss. Lots of crinkly leaves and colored stems...should be fun

the flo x grimm are having alot more exciting qualities.... i think the fruity-ness of flo (mom) & fruity-ness of grimm father are complimenting each other better than the OGK father did.... just so far

btw: these plants were grown in promix hp & GH flora series nutes @lucas formula levels, w liquid koolbloom, calmag & protekt silica, & molasses.

Definitely! I like the early topping to get 2 top colas. 2, because I only grow for me and I like seeing big buds. Really, who doesnt appreciate the beauty of a fat, greasy bud? Also, if youve got a plant that didnt take well to being topped, youre giving it more time to try and right itself. Eliminating a stressor well before you flip.
Im going with a gentle lst this round only if the plant needs to open up some.

Those are looking like some might fine crosses. Any plans to take them any further?

If you're able to isolate some phenos that keep the Flo head with more vigorous growth you will have hit the jackpot. Have you read the Flo thread by Mr. Alkaline? That's what pulled me into IC Mag four years ago.

hows the flo on its own?.. I'm yet to try anything from DJ short but I see his Flo used a lot in crosses.. seems to b good breeding material.

the flo temple cut is awesome, other phenos are alright, u gotta pheno hunt the tru floral, tastes just like it smells yields like a mofo.... incredible and really the reason we did this cross at all was the quality of the flo mom.
