Pre 98 Bubba Kush

S

swisscheese

Any bubba with a taste less than a solid 8 or 9 isn't done right in my opinion. And a long cure really doesn't do much for any cut of Bubba I've came across I feel it's best within a month of being smokeable maybe closer to 2 weeks it keeps that complex hashy, sweet, amazing chocolate coffee smell. Nice smoke report. And I'm a big fan of the Katsu cut myself but always considered it chill weed not knocked out stationary weed. It's more a smoke all day great flavor strain to me.

yesum - IMO the Pre 98 Bubba Kush is not too stationary, I would call it relaxing.. but not stationary. The Katsu cut of Bubba Kush is more stationary and the effects are near immediate I would suggest finding that cutting if you're looking for a stand still kush.

The high on the Pre 98 is like a cake, a lot of layers and they are all tasty.
People have told me when I asked the difference between reg Bubba and pre98 Bubb, that there is oly one Bubba.

Thanx for this explanation!

I am not positive on what Bubba I have, but I was told it was per 98. I really don't care which cut I have as it is the dankest plant I have grown. What I have noticed is by seven weeks of bud they don't really grow too much more after that, but have to leave it to nine weeks to get the full taste and knock out potency. Another this specific to Bubba is if the roots get root bound in veg the plant stops growing, but with plenty of space she will stretch a little and continue to get larger. Even buds get larger if there is lots of root space and I find this is very important to tell new growers.

I love the rock hard golf ball nuggets and the taste is just phenomenal. She is definitely a plant that will stay in the family for many years to come.

I dont know what one I had either...it was from Oaksterdam in 2010, and didnt say pre-98.
I used light dep in an outdoor open-top shed grow. It finished in Cali in July (hot) so no purple was shown, not sure if it would have.
Lost that strain, but she was really nice. I have 2 lil buds of her left in a jar for a rainy day.
She started out really peppery smelling, but after a few months the smell turned to a musky danky smell.

Pre98 is like walking into a Barneys coffee shop, the complex yet bold earthy coffee caramel hashy taste is simply slam you in the pallet yummy, with a lethargic relaxing, pop in a movie and fuckin chill type of high... Personal fav...

harvested a lil early by a rookie on my team...

got some pre 98 X Cheese the other day

it's really good, awesome flavor that is too hard to describe really

I really need to find some authentic Bubba. I love the description on the smell/taste.
My Bubba smelled tasted spicy/peppery. After a long cure it turned overly sweet, and hashy.

Good report. Got pre 98 bubba growing right now about 2 weeks away from Harvest.. I love the bubba I've been stick on this strain for quite some time now. I pollinated it this round so I can have some crosses to see if I can up the Yeild the bit.

SOOO slow...

I got the katsu too, little quicker...:headbange

I had the Katsu too, even slower! I even have a really nice pheno of Outlaw's P98BK x DPD that is totally Bubba leaning, and it vegs just as slow as the P98. Love the smoke though!

Maybe the Katsu I got was older and more stressed, but she was the most troubling of the Bubba's for me.

No shit, who ya telling, dealing with her sensitive ass right now lol... I think she is a bit more sensitive to nutes or something, I dont know, I just got her back in a shitty way cuz she was overfed and burnt and underwatered.. Just got her looking healthy in veg, but now Im blooming her, and already getting curled leaves from too much N and Im running H3ads formula and she still wants less N.... This bitch....
