I just made my own GSX x UK Cheese, (by accident lol) and guess what? I had them out to friends for free.......just the way I roll.

Good luck but I have never paid $80 for a "tested" bag of beans.....I usually can get cut's around HERE for FREE for just about any strain I want...just saying...

chemdawg. found in some bag seeds and slapped his name on it, laid claim to it, but did not even create it and gets all the credit for doing so.

you mention Sam the Skunkman, funny because i've heard he traveled around the world collecting strains, which he did not create either.

look at the alien situation, some beans were gifted to someone, he grew them out and all of a sudden he's the creator of the alien strain, really? is that how all this works?

am i really suppose to give credit to someone for growing out some beans that were gifted, found in some buds or from a hermie plant?

what's funny is that no one knows and for the ones that introduce them to the community don't even care to find out. so why should another care about using somebody else's work, when said breeder started out using someone else's work from the get go?

Any update on how far away the Straberry Cough x GSC might be?

As far as GSC S1's, i wouldn't EXPECT to get a plant that was exactly the same as the GSC clone, but i would imagine that some percentage of the seeds would resemble the mother closely.
And i think that that would be enough for some people to spend $80 on 5 seeds to roll the dice. Especially since 99% of the world have a 0% chance of getting a cutting at this time.
It is just a novelty. Life goes on (shock, horror). Why do people want it?...... Because it is there.

Those who laugh at people who hope to get a plant resembling GSC from S1 seeds hardly strike me as a beacon of wisdom......

I dont understand why people get so worked up. We are just talking about some seeds, we all know its a roll of the dice anytime we spend $ on beans , "tested" or "untested" thats just the nature of the beast. I applaud Connoiseur for not being greedy and releasing something special. I myself will probly never have any chance of getting any of these elite genetics except for in seed form due to my location, so its al I got, and I'm happy for it.

It's amazing how fast strains move into S1's. It took OG kush like a decade or more before the S1's rolled out, today it takes a year or two of hype before the selfed versions come out and the clone's bubble implodes.

well it only takes one successful hermie induced grow to make s1s.. and i would say its a good thing because if it is hoarded it just gets more hype than it should which just fucks the seed game up even more imo..

i say get the genetics out to the people and let them decide what they actually like.. hype is money in the end, and we see it all around us in this fake so called "capitalist" over-branded world,, ganja should be the opposite, look after the people and they will look after you..

That being said I hope we can see more than just S1s tho, as S1s are only really successful with clones that aren't so heterozygous. I hope we can get fem-inbred and backcrossed breeding work and not just a fast S1 run. S1 seedlot is a breeder's tool after all and the phenos are most likely to be all over the place. Granted, many ppl would want even just S1, tho I hope more serious fem breeding will be done. Why release something that might disappoint people tho ?

As for the price we all know breeders take huge risks since they need to run huge amounts of plants, etc. Seeding lots of bud and it all racks up expenses. Someone would have to be retarded to do all this work and take all this risk and not make a significant profit.

Its a shame to me that the OP is talking about releasing this gear before even harvesting the seeds, let alone testing it... Using 2 clones, can't go wrong, right? Wrong... Could quite easily be terrible, any one of them... Please OJD, don't have your customers do the testing for you.... With all due respect I think talking about releasing gear once you are sure that the pollen worked is incredibly premature and shows your true character.. Peace.
