How to cover up heat signature?

Well we went back to the old drawing board. Seems we are going to build 1 room at a time get it dialed in and so on and so on. We are going to try to do vert in the first room attempt it with 5 plants and 8 600w HPS. We are going to still place 1 extraction fan per room and pull the heat in to the living room where it will be cooled by the AC in the house and one of our portable 36,000 btu commercial units possibly both when all the rooms are set up hopefully the evap systems draw enough moisture out of the air that we don't need to get a dehumidifier, but all this will be monitored as 1 room is added at a time.

I am currently setting up a new house, 4 br 3 bath 2400 sq ft. There will be 6kw of light per room. My question is, are there any known methods for hiding your heat sig or reducing it a reasonable amount.

We have police choppers in the air all day every day in the city I live in, and for all I know they run their heat scanner all day so I am trying to follow the path of caution. An owner of the hydro shop I go to says there is a material I can line my walls and ceiling with before I put up my panda paper, he said "I don't have any in the store now, but I can order some for you, but alas I am skeptical by nature and don't want to throw away precious money, SO I am turning to the community to help call bullshit or let me know if this stuff is real and works. Sorry I don't have the name my short term memory is shot... if he even told me the name of the product.
eather use a tent inside of thr room or like the other grower said just get a good a/c unit and cool your grow room itself. or build o room inside a room. my personal favorate is putting the room in the basement where the heat sig cant be detected. there is several different ways to do it. There is a lot a variabes to consider to dial your room in

in my experences using 1 5 ton ac unit per 10 1000wt will produce enough cool air that you dont have to use air cooled hoods or any ventalation but you do need the room to be sealed using co2 and enough dehumidfiers to keep your humidity around 40% and if you have reservoir u wil need a chiller to chill the room
here's a pic of a good setup in in area with heli flying all day and this spot has been runing for years and never had any problems

U could alway split the wattage between 2 houses, and grow trees.Prolly stay under the radar longer.

Cheers PB

^^ I agree.

Surprised no one has mentioned the good ol flip-flop relays. Cut your cooling and ballast needs in half. Bare bulb sealed rooms, CO2, and dehumidify. Try to make one single grow room rather than 4 separate.

that's a lot of heat to deal with. 4 br's with 6kw each? i don't know if you can hide that much regardless of what you use. cops will ignore hobby growers, say someone with a 600 wt set up, but what you are putting together is a whole different ball game. i would be just as concerned about my power bill because you will be pulling a lot of kwh's, a lot more than a 4 br home normally uses which could raise suspicion. if you have choppers overhead that normally doesn't mean anything for a small operation but the size that you are putting together will look like Las Vegas on a Sat. night. whatever you do, be careful and remain vigilant... hopefully someone on here has the answers.
good luck amigo.

I know a few people touched on this already, but I'm a plumber by profession so let me elaborate. You said that the house is not being used for anything else but the grow, so you really won't be using the plumbing system for much of anything at all. In your basement you'll see a 3 or 4" pvc line that heads through the foundation out to your sewage system. I would cut a section out of this about 2ft long and put a cap on the side that's coming down from all your fixtures, effectively killing your plumbing system. On the street side, install a back flow preventer and hook up you exhaust line to that. This way there is no chance of the exhaust heading up and out of the roof. I'd still use scrubbers because you don't want that smell escaping through a manhole somewhere, and maybe even a little AC so there's not a 100 degree section of the sewer when the rest of it is around 60.
Back to the plumbing side of it. By killing your waste and vent system you'll have to make sure that nobody uses the toilets/sinks/showers upstairs because you don't want that shit sitting in your pipes, it will eventually backup through your lowest fixture unit. Since it's just a couple of you working there hopefully you can remember this, but if your really concerned you could shut off the ball valve that supplies water to the house... although I wouldn't recommend it because you'll be needing water for the plants. Don't fill your reservoir using any fixture with a drain (sink, shower, ect)... Instead you can take apart the plumbing on the washer box or under the sink, these 2 fixtures have shut off valves and are easy to access, just run a plastic tube from the supply into your watering bucket... Lemme know if you follow this, I could track down some pics to help you out if it sounds a little weird

I use 1/2 pink sheets of insulation then radiant barrier on top of that.i have a dedicated fan for my light that pulls air from one whirly bird in the attic and exhuast at the other whirly bird.i live in texas so its perrty much hot as fuck most the time anyway so im not sure if a ghetto bird could pick up a heat signiture or not.

As someone that HAS had FLIR used against them, I can tell you that if they have a suspicion about you, and they come with FLIR, they got you. You can do things to minimize, but there will still be a heat signature.

NEVER exhaust outside the house.

You vent all the heat back into your own house. Heat your house with it :tiphat:

Or turn up the ac in summer :peacock:

If you can't do that, you're fucked? LoL I donno vent the heat back through an ac. And keep the lights away from windows, walls, ceiling roof, the heat spreads out and will light up foundations and roofs like christmas trees. Check out videos of FLIR from police helicopter cameras on youtube and google. You want to take all that heat and disperse it back into your home. Best best? Play life save and don't try to blow it up. Life is better:huggg::blowbubbles::artist:

An air conditioner must exhaust hot air to create cold air, so it makes no sense to vent hot air into your ac. Run a vent under ground to your barbecue, that will have anyone looking thinking that you like to grill.

Adze I have to say I've heard some interesting ideas in my day, that is one of the sickest haha... maybe if the exhaust is hot enough he could use it to dehydrate some beef jerky? side business lol

well they might still get you but you can totally hide your heat sig. my friend that got popped with 30k lights had been flown several times. I know cause I read the whole case documents myself. it was a really sweet setup . they used a chainsaw to gain access . man I hate rats. the ac guy turned rat when busted for something else unrelated.

The pipe you mention is not a vent it is to stop a vacuum being created and sucking the water out of S bends under sinks and WCs leading to odors rising from the sewer, there are one-way valves available but need to be accessible to repair or replace when become stuck open or closed

I don't think this works like you'd expect.

All sewer's have a vent that goes to your roof too. If you're pumping air into your 'cleanout' cover then you're likely sending the hot air through your roof vent and not 'underground.' Pressurized air will follow the path-of-least-resistance.

the problem being is cops aren't dumb.. they have figured out all the ways to figure it out.. if you black out a room.. the temp of that room compared to others is different.. or.. if you use IR Blocker.. they will look for windows.. the one or 2 windows in the house that are different.. they see that.. they look for the exhaust too.. so if you really wana fix that. get an extra fan.. exhaust it and use a big Y.. mix outdoor air.. with your exhaust.. cooling the air a little before it goes outside..

lots of things you can do .. but if you really wana be smart.. watch the videos on youtube of the police helis going over grow houses.. see and listen to what they are really looking for.. sometimes its not even a heat signature that gets you caught.. could be windows that are dark as fuck on the FLIR.. and others are normal.. or just condensation on windows.. I mean shit.. good luck my friend..
