104w Stealth Micro Cab CFL Super Lemon Haze grow

Hello All,

I thought it would be cool to share my small super lemon haze plant grow with everyone.

First off I built this cabinet myself from scratch with plywood and lined the inside with mylar and attached 2 120mm pc fans 1 for intake and1 for exhaust. The cabinet measures 24" H 18" L 12" D
and will be running up to 104w CFL and doing DWC with Botanicare nutes .





So it's day 1 and I'm running 24/0 light for veg:
So the lid looks different here because I had drilled more holes for more netpots

I originally was going to veg like 8 plants and then build
a flowering cab but unfortunately that didnt happen and
I only had 1 lemon haze seed laying around and I said
ah what the heck let me just grow this in the meantime. ​

Anyhow, I was wondering if I should skip veg with this strain
since it is a sativa dominant strain and will probably get out
of control but something about 12/12 from seed with only
1 plant scares me lol . I feel like I could yield more if I just
veg for like a couple weeks first. I will be putting a scrog in
real soon .
As far as training goes I'm still not sure what I wanna do
additional to the scrog maybe some topping? Never grown
a sativa before and especially not in a space like this.
I will be posting pics as the plant progresses and appreciate
any ideas or comments.​

I've heard nothing but good things about this strain so I will be watching your progress for sure. Very nice cab design and a great clean setup.

I was thinking the exact same thing you were that maybe you should try 12/12 from seed as it might be a stretchy sativa strain but it's up to you I guess.

Thanks Penguin! I think i'm going to veg for atleast 2 weeks because I have a scrog screen I'm going to try and fill up. Btw Your ladies are looking good! I cant wait until mine are that close to finish!

So it's day 2 and I've changed and moved some things around here to help with better air circulation in the box.

So I took her out of the bigger 12qt reservoir and put her in this plastic jar which I had laying around. I simply just drilled a hole on the top for the netpot and drilled a small hole for the air tube and lightproofed the jar. I did it because it seemed like the bigger reservoir was taking up too much space and blocking the fans being up that high close to the lights. When she grows bigger i'll transplant to the bigger reservoir again and by then the reservoir will be able to sit lower in the box without blocking off anything. I also added another 120mm fan to the left side of the box to cool the light bulbs and am now running 4x 26w light bulbs three are 2700k and one is 6500k.

Temps are around 75-80F . They were around 85F before the change.

Hi Krazy! Yeh I was gonna say letting them veg for a couple of weeks might be a good idea. Not all strains are genetically equipped to produce anything decent if they go 12/12 from seed. Good to err on the side of caution until you know what you're dealing with.

Stoked that yours mods have helped your temps out heaps. 75-80 is the golden window for temps hey? Can't wait to see some more plant pics.

i'd veg for 5 to 6 weeks from seed and do early LST under cfls is the best way to expand yield.

I wouldn't veg any longer then a week ...two at the most in a box that big. You've got great wattage.

I'm not trying to discourage you from doing hydro...but reflective or not...your res. is gonna get too hot and inhibit growth bro....unless you've a mini chiller in the back there somewhere.

You may be right 5th I just checked the water temp:

about 79 F which is definitely not good but I also have to consider that I am running 24hrs light. I'm confident that temps will be lower once I transplant into bigger res and switch to 12/12 and have the res lower away from the lights. Lets just hope it's not too late by then!

Ok guys so I know I said I was going to veg for atleast 2 weeks but today I said to heck with that and flipped it to 12/12 after only 3 days veg. I think I can still fill up the scrog after seing a few 12/12 from seed SLH grows seems like they stretch like a motherlover so I might be alright and plus a mininum of 10 weeks flowering for this strain is very discouraging to continue vegging!

Yeh man may as well just roll the dice and go for it haha! Will be an experiment at least to see how she reacts to it and then you'll know for future grows.

Just read the brief on SLH on the Boo's website and 9-10 weeks is an awful long bloom time. Most phenos must be sativa-leaning.

Ok so my water temp dropped a few degrees after the 12/12 flip like I was hoping

around 75F which is alot better than closer to 80! 75F with the water being real close to the lights gives me good confidence that my water temps will be even lower once I transplant to bigger res and have it further away from lights. I also raised the ec to 1.0 yesterday with the 12/12 flip and heres how she looks :

No true leaves yet but very very soon!

Ok so I know I'm not crazy (even though my name may say otherwise lol) and I've grown MJ a few times already but why is my lady ALREADY SMELLING skunky? Is this normal at only 13 days from seed 3 days Veg 10 days flower? I mean like she literally smells like a sweet skunk when I open the cab. I don't usually get this smell until like 30 days veg when preflowers start to show up and even then it's only mild and almost unnoticeable until like after first week of flower but this one really smells already no exaggeration!. The plants i grew before were different strains and this is the first time I'm growing SLH and now I kinda have some doubts about this actually being SLH. I got the seed as a freebie with a prior order a couple years back. It feels like an auto to me but I don't know maybe it's normal.

I don't like to get ahead of myself but do those pointy little things on the middle of the stem look like preflowers??? :

It's probably not preflowers but geesh why does she smell already?

That little bit of discoloring on the leaf or whatever it may be I've never experienced it before so have no clue if it's normal or not??

BTW I changed nutes today from PBP to GH 3 part with some rapid start at EC 1.0. Don't get me wrong I LOVE Botanicare's line when I use soil but I don't like how my res is looking after PBP has been bubbling in there on the walls and airstones especially with the Liquid karma in there too that stuff looks like a bad case of diarrhea lol. I know LK is good stuff and I LOVE it in soil bcause i can't SEE it but I just don't think I like it in hydro.

Hi Krazy! Your girl is making some fantastic progress so far, she's obviously liking the temps and whatever you have bubbling in your res man, great job! Only thing I can think of with the smell is that it was a genetic trait that was intentionally bred into this girl's genes by the breeder. If it's not a bad smell then I guess you're lucky! haha

Also, I know your heart races when you see them and you think they might be preflowers but those are in fact only stipules! The pre-flowers will be right at the exact join where the side branches meet with the main stem but you may not see those for a bit yet as you flowered the plant at a very young age but they will come! With most strains the plant must have grown up to at least the 3rd or 4th node before showing sex so I would say after about 2 weeks of flowering, your girl should have grown enough nodes to be able to put out pistils.

About the discolouration on the leaves, I wouldn't worry about it unless it gets drastically worse very quickly. Those young, 1, 3 and 5 finger leaves are always the most sensitive and will react to ANY slight change in the soil or reservoir. I would say that's normal growth buddy!

Hey Penguin, thanks for clearing that up for me! I learned something new! I didn't even know the word "stipules" until now. The discoloring on the leaf is still the same and it doesn't seem to be spreading or anything so I'm happy about that!

I've put her in a bigger reservoir now and I am setting up the scrog. I should be getting some "plant success great white" in the mail tomorrow so I'm a little excited about that too because I've heard nothing but great things about it. Just hope I don't hurt her by adding stuff. You know there's that saying don't fix something thats not broke but I guess in my case I am trying to prevent it from getting broke haha. Can't wait to see how it works along with the rapid start! I'll have some pics up soon.

Lol told you they would come! Fantastic news brother.

She's looking extremely healthy so you're doing something right with her nutes that's for sure. I think the screen was an essential addition to your space. You will be maximising every inch of it now.


PS. I noticed something back on page one before and thought I would ask you about it. Why did you put some of those hydroton balls in the bottom of your air pot?
