The niners were lucky to come away with a tie,
not a fan of ties either but i was sweating a lose with the seaswacks winning
i think kapernek is the qb of the future and the future looks good
but this team is smiths team for now and i wish him well
peace

since when did they do ties? I never remember seeing a tie before. Alex smith got me like 5 points in fantasy. Horrible.

there is a tie every few years it seems....I remember when Vick was a Falcon and the Steelers had Tommy Maddox at qb.....they tied 34-34.........It's a empty feeling...you dont feel good cause its not a W but you dont feel bad cause its not a L.....in the playoffs and superbowl they play till someone wins....however many ot periods it takes

Only a tie because each team shanked a game winning field goal in overtime; Legatron hit a 53 yarder but was called for delay of game and shanked the subsequent 58 yarder. Rams had a timeout to burn, too, and still got called for delay of game. That's on you, Fisher...

fun fact: david akers kicked the game tying field goal in the 4th quarter in 2 of 2 of the last tie games...philly in 08 and sf yesterday dont know how he sliced that 41 yarder so bad in OT...

easyrasta- I was pretty upset when alex smith got the concussion, I hope he's doing ok now...I personally am not a huge fan of kapernick...but thats just me I guess...the nfl tried the option passer last season and we all saw what a joke that was...I'll be @ next weeks monday night game vs. bears and really hope to see alex as the starter(he would have "managed" to turn 6-2 into 7-2, not 6-2-1)

i think the only way these spread option qb's can work in the nfl is if they can avoid the big hits. i havent seen too much of kaepernick, but he doesnt seem like that big of a guy, taller rather than stout. does he tend to slide or run out of bounds at the end of his runs?

Looks like Homer J Pimpin may have been right. Roethlisberger looked like he dislocated his throwing shoulder tonight, may be out the rest of the season...

not sure if Im reading this right cause I dont bet on football.....But it looks like the ravens are favored by 3.5 and the over/under is 40.5......? is that what I'm seeing ?

Steelers be the dogs for 3.5 & you are correct, the over/under is 40.5 points.

Money line is: bet $185 on the Ravens & collect $165 if they win, flip those figures if betting on the Steelers & collect $185 for betting the dog. <--- money line bets have no point spread involved.

What's your betting strategy, S4L? Have the road dogs been winning outright this year?

So Homer, you think the Ravens will win by more than 3.5 and the over/under will be less than 40.5? With Big Ben out, those are probably safe bets...

If Mendenhall plays for the Steelers... Id watch out... he's ran all over the Ravens b4... Not to mention Byron Leftwich at QB will force Pitts to run the ball like crazy... low scoring game... Mike Wallace and Leftwich are gonna connect on some deep balls.... Leftwich sucks...but he's got a rocket for an arm....

Ravens Defense is a shadow of its former self..and if the Ravens are going to Let Flacco throw the ball then they are fucked.... Ray Rice needs to touch the rocks 25+ times... but they stopped doing that a while ago

mednhall hasn't done shit this year and probably wont. Isac redman has been the go-to RB for steelers lately.

Mendi first game back he played awsome and the O-Line was prasing him as an every down RB and said he can do it all run/Catch.... he played 5 min the next game and hasnt played since...

Isac Redman sucks ... You'll be suprised... they've been cautious with him for a reason... He's head and shoulders better than Redman and Dwyer... they both dont have that Home Run hitting ability Mendi Brings... dont trip...just watch ... When it gets cold...Mendi starts to get this motor going

As the season progresses, a healthy Rashard Mendenhall can mean the world to this Steelers offense. Combine the passing threat Pittsburgh has going with any threat of a rushing attack, and you'll have defenses dying to get off the field.
The season may not hinge on Mendenhall alone, but without him, this team doesn't stand a chance.

id love to see him healthy. I've got him on a couple fantasy teams and he's been on the bench for 10 weeks now pretty much.

I'm playing CJ spiller and michael turner as my starting RB's and keeping mendenhall benched again this week. I just don't see him being that productive this week. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

are you even serious ? Issac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer are both very good rb's no they are not homerun hitters like Mendenhall but they are bvoth strong brusing style runners who break ALOT of tackles and wear d's down....J.D started 2 games this year and had over 100 yds both games...Issac started the rest and started slow but had 147 vs the giants.....On monday no back would have had a good game vs the D the cheifs brought to Pittsburgh....yea its the cheifs but that front 7 is pretty feirce.....And I think that at 40.5 you have to bet the under...vs the Ravens...And I'm insulted that the ravens are favored by 3.5..I think the Steelers win outright.....
