I'm one, probably 1 of many, that is SERIOUSLY considering a move to Co. I've been considering it for a couple of years but finally got my wife on board. It took awhile to get her to agree, as she prefers tropical climates with alot of sunshine but not much to chose from that allow me to grow. We'll probably be looking in the Denver metro area or maybe close to Ft Carson, as we both prefer areas that have a mix of races, in other words...ethnically diverse. It's a BIG move for us since we're in the south now. I'm tired of the south plus I don't want to be labeled as a criminal due to growing. My daughter just got popped with 3 grams & is now considerd a criminal....I'm sick over it. I feel that my views, on this plant of ours, lended itself to her views....and to her ultimately getting in trouble for mj posession.

I do have a bro-in-law in Greeley. He moved there around 6 months ago from out of state.
Any tips for a 40 something yr old, disabled vet, that will still need to find some type of income source (sales, telecom & Army background)? Are there any areas where the winters are more mild than others? Are the winters really as cold as they look, lol? I know most states, the farther north u go...the colder it gets but from what I understand that's not really true in Co.

Also, just a suggestion to all in this thread. After the Nov 6th election & vote on amend #64...wouldn't it be feasable to start a new thread for Co growers? I wanted as much info about Co as possible but 380 pages is ALOT to wade thru, especially when many of the posts have been deleted & much of the info is now outdated. It might actually be a good idea to start using the "state by state" area, that way individual topics specific to Co could be addressed in a better & more efficient manner. Here's a link to the forum https://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=65651

Thanks yawl & I hope this move actually happens as my resume will be going out in the next few days so we'll c what happens.

Hey bud! We have 300+ days of sunshine a year, and winters are the most mild I've experienced between the Northeast, Pacific Northwest, and here.

As far as work, I've never seen a concerted work search go more than a month or two without results in about 5 years out here.

I'm in the back yard blazing up and playing beastie boys "fight for your right". :D Now I can tell those "better than me" neighbors to buy more incense cause there's gonna be alot more dank stank drifting across our fence.

These are great days we are living in my friends!
